Making your own is way cooler. But these solid state speakers are still available by dayton called audio exciters. And you may want to place te speaker off center on the sound carrier plate ( I made that name up myself, no clue what it is called usually) If it is centered the waves may cancel themselves once they bounce back from the edges. Well now I have to get off the couch and start make something. Thank you for you inspiration.
I think your idea might work better if you use larger diameter PVC parts. They might get expensive though. I would suggest using a 6" coupling. The concept is good, the small size is simply strangling it, so reduced volume.
45+++ years ago, I went scubadiving to watch the action of trolling lures behind my boat. Much to my surprise, I could hear the song playing as the boat pasted by.😊 BTW, the boat was 1" stripped plank cover on both sides with epoxy and heavy glass mat. He's 💯 % right❗️👍🏻
There was a trend about 5 years ago with a device that turns everything into a speaker. you don't have to make it water proof if you have a metal boat.. Just put it on the inside.
I’ve been following Doug since the days when sheet metal was dropped off in his driveway-one of the most remarkable feats I’ve ever witnessed. The way he managed volunteers seamlessly, without issues, was nothing short of brilliant. I’ve reached out to Doug a few times, and he has always responded with inspiration, encouraging creativity and craftsmanship. It’s never been about himself; he’s always lifting others up and making the impossible seem possible. Thank you, Doug, for letting us ride your coattails.
Looks good. I can see many uses for a device like that. Just as an idea could you build one of those that can shout out SHARK....SHARK....now that would be fun to build and to drop it into the local swimming pool. Just kidding. I sent you an Email by the way....
I have a scientific project for which i require the use of a boat. I am doing a test to see the effect of wind and salt aboard a sailboat on an overworked engineer in desperate need of a change of pace.

Thanks for the info

Why does it need to be outside the boat? Inside magnetically attachet to hull, would make the whole boat a speaker!
Worth a try.
Not sure why, but it seems I was unsubscribed from this channel and I'm not happy about it. Got some catching up to do.
Lol, this is actually a new channel.
Why don't you obtain a Dive Helmet c/w headphones and speakers
I have them but that’s not the end goal.
You're making these to play Barry Manilow songs to the Orcas in the Bay of Biscay aren't you .... aren't you? ... oh c'mon, admit it.
