- This video is a kind of testament to the sophistication of Streams. It can be combined in many different ways and has excellent sound and quality. I am always grateful to Émilie Gillet for creating this module. Dynamics are important in all musical genres, and this module can be used by practitioners of many genres. I have tried to provide a wide range of examples, which I trust will convince you of the power and versatility of Streams.

A very well done video, Bylant.
I've been saving your Video for a year. Now that I've given STREAMS and BLADES to myself as a belated birthday present 😂 I'll be watching it again and again.😊
Very nice how you pointed out the LPG and its special features at the beginning using a sheet of paper. Acoustic examples in the area of dynamic functions are more difficult to convey on the acoustic example via YT as far as compressors and limiters are concerned.
I bought STREAMS primarily because I didn't have an envelope follower function apart from EARS. I wanted to expand this and of course I'm always happy to try out new possibilities.
So: Well done, Bylant
Thanks for your kind words!
Thanks for this review of this hidden gem.
Hope you are well.
thank you for this 🤘
Good explanation of this module, thanks.
I didn't even know Streams was an LPG until now, and now my gut tells me I might need one (although I currently prefer the SSF gate).
Great channel! Thanks.
I like your content. Thank you for Sharing 🤗
I like how clearly you have explained things.
I’m learning modular synthesis every day and you have definitely boosted a bunch of knowledge in a very effective way.
I subscribed.
Thank you for your words. I really try to pack my techniques in an understandable format so now I'm glad to read your comment.
Now - I need to give my Streams some lurve :) Def overlooked its potential. Thanks for posting.
Lurve 🦝🫶
Thank you for this video! I would like to see how this fairs with a stereo osc like the Make Noise XPO.
Hi, that would be interesting for me too. One could probably make a lot of interesting stereo effects with them.
i definitely overlooked this module! it's completely different from what i'd imagined. thank you!
Honestly, I was the same way. A couple of months ago it changed, I somehow got the hang of it, I could put it into different patches more easily.
@@bylant this is probably the most underrated mutable ‘utility’ module.
@@apparently_sonam I completely agree with you.
Excellent video Bylant, I'm torn between this, Make Noise Optomix and the simpler Doepfer A-142-2 for my tiny lunchbox rack. My need is for ENV and VCA in 8hp, Michigan Works has a 8Hp uStreams which seems amazing, and these three option seem to fit my need, Streams looks like it offers a fair bit more than the other two options so I'm leaning the way. Do you have any thoughts on this?
Hi Jin-Hu, thanks for watching.Streams is absolutely worth it (either the original or a clone) although I don't know the Optomix and the Doepfer. But if you need vca AND env, this is the best option. I think I don't demonstrated enough how good is Streams' internal envelope, it has a lot of useful curves mainly for imiting acoustic instruments. You can use it as a standalone vca as well with external envelope.
Hi! A very good video. I have Streams, but I still can not use it. I am to dumb… I can not understand it. Too complex :-(
Yes, it is a quite complex module but it's worth spending time with it and using it in different patches. I hope you'll have a better relationship with it in the future :)
