great system i found mine worth every penny. the L brackets are great for being able to sharpen slipjoints on a fixed system, though they do throw the angle markings on the angle height rod off by a couple degrees.
All these type of sharpeners do well with thicker, wider blades ; I want to see you sharpen the pen blade on a medium stockman or on a Barlow pattern. Even try the blades on a SAK or something else. Its those small blades that these all tend to fail at. You cant hold the blade tight enough and get purchase to sharpen them. I am working on an idea for a design that compensates for blades that are not only small, but those that are not in direct line with the handle, like on a 3 blade stockman, how 1 blade is offset and not even with the liners.
Enjoyed the build John, looking forward to seeing it in action and getting your thoughts
Thanks. Slippy I made several screw-ups so hope it wasn't too distracting.
Thanks for showing this process, buddy! That's a wicked cool system!
Thanks so much David. Looking forward to sharpening some knives with it.

The L brackets are really a nice upgrade and provide a tremendous amount of versatility.

I will be sharpening some smaller blades to see how it does. Thanks, Orlos.
