@@aviationlba747 yeah but i'd argue the guitar riffs in smiths songs don't mean much alone but with the bass and vocals and the whole aesthetic they become a different level
@@armanozcan7234 Yes, I imagine so. I’m not that familiar with The Smiths so I can’t really agree nor disagree, but what I have heard I don’t really like.
Johnny Marr is so underrated as a guitarist. He’s a very skilled musician with superb compositions, not to mention an excellent executioner of his instrument(i.e.: an awesome guitar player). Congratulations for learning every single note and execute them on the top of each of them. Thanks mate! P.S.: Specially “Girl Afraid”, phew!

There is a Light is an incredible song, one of their best, but the riff isn't really THAT great. Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others and Stretch Out and Wait have some of their best guitar work imo
To this day! theres nobody in indie music who's surpassed the riffs of Johnny Marr. The guys style was in a complete and utter world of its own.
I’d say John Squire as well, but Johnny is a tad better.
listen to her's bro
Johnny is goat of indie guitar melodies
100 percent agree. And he was less than 24 when Smiths broke up. Insane ❤
The KING Johnny Marr...
Great riffs, but also a reminder how under appreciated Andy Rourke’s bass playing was.
Rest in peace Rourke
Andy just had the best bass rifts
Really ties it all together

Girl Afraid sounds like a Western cowboy Riff. You have to remember in the eighties the UK television was bombarded by westerns.
Great riffs.
..ditto for "Nowhere Fast". I also hear a little 60s Byrds jangle style in Marr's repetoire
Johnny Marr is one of the GOATS in my opinion.. so underated...
This Night Has Opened My Eyes will always be my favourite Smiths song and guitar riff
Their riffs are legendary
Very simple riffs, if it was any other band you wouldn’t be calling them legendary.
@@aviationlba747 it is not the complexity that makes them legendary
@@armanozcan7234 ‘Legendary’? I mean each to their own, but they don’t sound that interesting to me.

Great hair too
what? how is he underrated? I'm pretty sure he is known as very good guitarist.
I miss them so so much…
Really enjoyed this
So many great riffs and there's still Babarism begins at home which I would consider marrs catchiest
Super travail ! Enfin une tab de Bigmouth...! Mille fois merci 👍
Loved these, can you cover girlfriend in a coma by the Smiths? I love the riff in it
Johnny Marr is one of the greatest guitarist of all time!!!!!

@@RomainCNC thanks 🙏🏻 Do you have other folders for your other videos like Joy division etc ?
@ Not yet but that something I could do for those I did not record with a mic on my amp ;)
@@RomainCNC super 👍🏻
Love the Jag by the way :)
I hope you don't mind me asking, but weren't the Smiths' guitar and bass tuned to F sharp? While your capo here is in G sharp.
Merci.
That Girl Afraid riff is so hard, you had to slow down the tempo.
The headmaster hitual
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great! Nice job...some girls are bigger than others?
I recently covered it : th-cam.com/video/kXopFT5Sp_U/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=RomainCNC

What effects set up do you use please?
This sounds absolutely out of this world! 🤩
Thanks! I used built in effects in GarageBand, mostly chorus and reverb. I posted screenshots of the settings on my page www.patreon.com/romaincnc
boy with the thorn is better than a couple of these
There are so many how can you narrow it down ...They were so brilliant
Pretty Girls Make Graves

you got all of them wrong
Wow that that How soon is now is an embarrassment.
All that single note picking through chords is just so dull. The attack hurts my ears.
Not a fan. I love Noel Gallagher I just can’t get down with this stuff.
