    Rolling ladder hardware has to hold your weight as well...part of the reason why it's more expense. Great job on the built in. Great tips. One thing that could have made the face frame seamless...is to add it after installing the shelves. I really like your new work space.

    This is what I have in mind for my desk. But I do not want the 2 Bookcases yet only the middle part. I've downloaded your plans and I need to make some adjustments to fit the desk in the space I have at the moment. I wanted a desk with the shelves on the ends because I wanted to fit my TV in the middle. As well as, using the right side drawers empty to fit my PC in it.

    I know this is a weird comment for a woodworking video, but i love your plant containers. Can you tell me where you got them? Also beautiful build! I'm new subscriber, but i wosh i found you sooner. I love your simple and straightforward approach to woodworking. It really makes it look doable for the average person. Thanks for your videos. ❤
    Edit: the plant containers I'm asking about are at 14:57 on the shelving unit. I realized later in the video you have a few different types, so I wanted to be more specific.

    Looks awesome Shara! I love built-ins , but I hate clutter lol. Also I'm curious, am I the only one who loves a build while I'm building it. But hate it once it's done? Happens to me every time. Maybe I just enjoy the process more than the outcome, I'm sure my therapist would have a comment or 2 lol. Keep warm and keep rocking it!

    • @WoodshopDiaries
      @WoodshopDiaries  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! I do the opposite-I hate it every step of the process and when it’s done I love it. I had multiple breakdowns while building this and almost threw it away several times just because I didn’t know if I liked it or not and I couldn’t decide on paint colors and whether to add the lights and ladder 😂 it was chaos. But when it was done I was like okay yeah I love it. Maybe I just hate the process. We need to trade 😂 anyway thanks so much for watching! I hope you have a great weekend!

    That is a beautiful piece! Watching you paint without a drop cloth stressed me completely out lol! I'd have had paint all over the floor if that was me.

      Haha I probably should use drop cloths, but I never do 😂😂🙈

    Great job and clear instructions! I did my lights almost exactly the same way but plugged them into a remote box so I can turn them on and off with a small remote control. Also, I am totally stealing your ladder hardware idea! Its expensive because it's popular now.

    Great build! The ladder hardware vs door hardware? Really cool. I have a ladder build coming up... that might be how I'll do it!

    This looks so great, I love the library ladder. If you have kids one day (besides Lucy 🤣🐶) it'll be hard to keep them off of it 😅

      Thanks friend! Haha no plans for kids, but that’s a good point-probably need to take it off or install locking wheels if I did 😅
