  • If you have never rebuilt a two stroke motor, this series is for you! I take the time to go into more detail than most other videos so you can really understand how to rebuild your Honda or other make two stroke motor. Its not THAT hard to rebuild a two stroke if you have the patience and a little bit of skill.
    In this video I go over every step for assembling the engine after the case halves are mated. You will get every detail so you won't miss a single step.
    Thank you for watching!

    Good video !!! But man it hurt seeing those dry plates :/ soak them for a few hours before hand

      @brian.d.mobley  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Matt! Youre right. I wiped them with a thin coat of oil, but soaking would have been better. After I finished the assembly, I filled the gearbox with oil and rotated the crank several times over the following few days to get that oil spread around. It all ended up working great, thankfully.

    What color Cerakote was used on the clutch cover it looks like the bronze but a little darker was kinda curious cause I have been wanting to do mine and wanted to do a different color than the standard bronze and I’m really digging the color of yours.

      Hi Jotham. This engine is a shifter kart motor and did not have a power valve. Also, this is a botttom end assembly video so it’s not really about the top end components. That said, I did an extensive video on the top end and power valve in this video. Hope it helps you!!! th-cam.com/video/aIKeMiv4O3M/w-d-xo.html

      @@brian.d.mobley I appreciate it! That makes sense now. But my bad, I was meaning the power valve governor gear on the bottom end that connects to the crankshaft primary gear. Finding it difficult to find a video on how to set that gear. But I love the effort you put into your videos they’re very informative, especially that video on the top end

      That’s an old manual. I don’t know. But I’d try looking up Facebook groups for that bike and register on Thumpertalk and pose the question in one of their forums.

    Hey Brian have a 2001 cr 125 and when i have all the shift components off except for the shift drum and the shifter bolt and I have a socket and ratchet on the shifter bolt I can shift thru all of the gears. But when its all together I cant shift thru any when i try to shift up its like there isnt a gear there but when i shift down it moves a 1/4 inch and stops. So i tore it apart and found out the shifter drums springs didnt have a plunger that sits on the pawls on either of the 2 springs and i was wondering what your opinion was on it do you think that is the reason for it not shifting when all together. please reply i'm worried its my trans thanks!!

    • @brian.d.mobley
      @brian.d.mobley  ปีที่แล้ว

      HI DropEm. I had to read this a few times, but I believe what you are expressing is the 2 plungers that encapsulate the pawl springs are missing. If this is the case, then 100% the transmission will not shift correctly in their absence.
