Since the first day I played this game I've been through 4 relationships, 1 pandemic, 1 dog, 14 tropical fish, 2 apartments, 2 cars, 3 jobs, 3 consoles and 5 controllers. Skyrim has been my rock.

This right here is something very important to me. I was younger when my father introduced me to Skyrim, maybe 6 or 7, and we had a good relationship then.
He was there with me on my first playthrough of the game, and these tracks remind me of the things I felt during those times. The way the controller felt in my hands, the feeling of the old couch in the basement of his girlfriend's parent's house, the cold linoleum floor; everything about it was amazing, and now that I'm almost 18, I still play this game.
I've had so many saves, so many characters throughout the years but I'd always drift away from the game. Until now. My love for this game is absolutely unmatched, there's no other games that even come close to Skyrim. These tracks are part of me, and I'm always going to love them, even if my father and I haven't spoken in years.
Thank you, hypothetical reader. Please, enjoy the rest of this video with me; Fight, or die well.

I was introduced to it not long after it came out by my uncle I was like 6 or 7 too, was honestly some of the best days being taught about Skyrim and the Fallout games, my life hasn’t exactly been the best but i basically brought myself up on Bethesda titles, the fallout 3-4 soundtracks plus the Skyrim soundtracks have and will always make me feel at peace, I’m 19 now and every so often I’ll put on one of these videos to fall asleep to and I always remember my first playthroughs and how I felt then and all the things I done. I still go back to the games now and play them every so often on PC and I love every minute of it

That was how I felt when I played Morrowind the first time. Oblivion and Skyrim felt so mundane by comparison. Normal, vanilla fantasy worlds just can't compare to forests of giant mushrooms and ash storms... I'm glad the Dragonborn expansion brought that back.

I stopped playing Skyrim with the music on years ago, so the music feels weird and nostalgic even when the game itself is as familiar as the back of my hand.

Skyrim is a great game, but it's the atmosphere that keeps calling me back more than anything else. I worry I won't enjoy the next Elder Scrolls game as much because it won't have the same cold, wet and misty atmosphere

Funny you say that... I still remember the first time I played Skyrim and I initially hated it because rather than bringing back the things Oblivion removed, Skyrim removed even more things. I hated it because it wasn't Morrowind.
I kinda got used to it eventually though. Mods helped. Mods helped a lot.

as someone who loves skyrim a lot and have spent so many hours in it i took this advice years ago, and i was deeply dissapointed. i know a lot of people love witcher 3 and i know a lot of people who played both, and love skyrim, thinks this, but for me it just couldnt reach even close. no game has ever made me be able to feel like skyrim did the first time i got lost in the game, and honestly, i dont think another game ever will again. witcher 3 is fun, but it just isnt skyrim. lots of games are fun, but no game ever made me feel like skyrim.

@@pperryppark no I get it, that’s why I said it almost scratches the itch and only if you’re burnt out and looking for something different.
The Witcher 3 is unique and beautiful in its own way, I love Skyrim and the Witcher 3 equally and that may offend some people.

Bethesda didn't really know how big of a following skyrim would get. But it sure does have a big fan base. ESO 6, will possibly, maybe have the same impact but skyrim will and will......always be amazing,

Fus Ro Dah (Kraft, Gleichgewicht, Stoß) - Unaufhaltsame Kraft
Yol Toor Shul (Feuer, Inferno, Sonne) - Feueratem
Od Ah Viing (Schnee, Jäger, Flügel) - Drachen beschwören
Somit existiert in der Überlieferung von "The Elder Scrolls" nur eine Drachensprache - Dovahzul.

    Consider this
*skyrim vr, with at least 1 other friend up to 4 total*
*you all have a game setup that removes game pausing+ adds character body models*
*you all are potheads / drink, so you do some quests, then occasionally stop to smoke / drink at a agreed location and discuss the adventures, maybe someone has a guitar and just chills*
    Now theres a decent experience
However, i do acknowledge that simply going to a Renaissance festival set up right with outfit enforcement, taverns, and themes allowing for certain fantasty stuff, could be drastically better.*
