Diaspora we send alot of money home to invest and support our families thus boosting the economy but i dont appreciate how we are treated. Cartels have conned us lots of money. Too many conditions to enter the country. I was asked for a visa to enter my motherland. Thats not fair.
We should be able to import left hand drive cars. The existing policy for US car import is a sham from the beginning. I has never benefited us.
Returning students and residents cargo should be duty free as the law says. Too much stories at the port.
President you can not achieve anything before you unite Kenyans and have their concerns at heart.
They are the ones to give you a legacy.

They used to allow LHD vehicles in Kenya way back but it was a bit of a nightmare. It's just the same way that you don't have Right Hand Drive cars in the US. As for the Visa, why were you paying for a Visa and you're Kenyan? Why not use your Kenyan passport for entry into Kenya?

MR. PRESIDENT IF THIS GETS TO YOU... you can create millions of WELL PAYING jobs in Kenya. Work on making it easy and convenient for poor Kenyans to ship and receive packages from across the world. The situation is so bad that I have taken pictures of traditional Kenyan artifacts I wanted to buy online and sent them to China. They made them for me and shipped them to my doorstep. The transaction was smoooooth, and I've never paid more than $4 to ship anything from China. That's 3 decades of trying and failing to "give" money to Kenyans.

Mr. Ruto is a visionary leader. Let's allow him time to deliver. Good conversation. Just make sure digital workers are not enslaved/exploited like is the case for many right now. Put in sound policy. I spent more than 10 years with an American company as a virtual worker. No benefits, no contract, no voice. More like a slave master relationship. Let's regulate the sector and provide needed dignity for skilled online work.

@@EmaMaryAromatherapy That is not even the issue. The issue is the direction of this "progress".
These people pretend to be moving our country forward and they are stifling it.
Kenya is very rich. But they steal almost everything and some analysts said, due to the country's laws so far it is difficult to just take out public money because you will be caught in the future. So what they do, they take debt even when it is not necessary, do very small projects for several times their value and disappear the rest. It is a lot easier to loot that way.
Now the country has to pay back the debt.
Since 2014 that is what they did, and a great deal of it between 2014 and 2017.
It was these same people. That is what is painful.
Now they have become so emboldened, they are not even trying to do any development projects..only looking for private organizations to fund.
While allocating billions more to themselves, travelling everywhere, and billions for non-existent offices of their spouses.
The Auditor General lamented what she called budgeted corruption.
The looting is now factored in national budget. All while heavily increasing taxes, while at the same time borrowing a lot more.
Worst of all, haven't you seen they are trying to bring back that destructive IC Practitioners Bill that Uhuru had rejected?
Now the have changed the name to ICT Authority Bill, with the same contents, so that no one can do anything with his computer without a license, which you will pay for every year, and which you won't get unless you graduate from a school they will set up.
It was these same people who tried to push it many times and Uhuru vetoed. Now they ran the show, and who will stop them.

It's disheartening to note that cartels have become confident enough to even infiltrate government institutions like NCPB and Kenya Seed Company. Corruption is costing Kenya a lot of money. If you stay firm and deal with corruption, Kenya would have sufficient resources to build itself instead of these resources being pocketed by a few individuals.

The fact that Kenya charges us Kenyan born diaspora people e visas that have gone up in prices now is ridiculous!! We send money home to do our part in raising the economy and this is the thanks we get as Kenyan Americans? smh. I was just charged $120 from what it was $50 which I felt was still unnecessary. Why increase the price drastically having made an announcement that it will be free to come home without any visa? What in the entire hell is going on? So that makes some of us not want to come back and to withhold the money we send. Just ridiculous!! What have we already started, and what is going on now? What are we planning to adjust, not just promises for the future? Stop making future promises. A leader who can't express or explain what is happening now can't predict the future.

I liked him when he took over the presidency from UHURU KENYATA, but now he sound like a pandering preacher. But as an Ethiopian/ American, I love Kenya! and I wish all the best for the people of Kenya. Because When Kenya and Kenyans win the entire East Africa also wins!!!

How can you say Nakumicha is doing a good job? Didn’t we just have a Doctors strike and the intern’s salary issue. This is crap!

      @jogamaa
Wee wacha! Nakumicha is the 2nd hardest working CS, after Kindiki. Doctors organising a strike and trying to blackmail the gover doesn't not lessen her achievements. So u wanted to gover to cave in to make her look good? There is a huge financial implication. I bet u are one of those complaining against taxes?Don't be blindly biased.

Nakhumicha is doing a good job.
The person that signed the unrealistic Collective Bargaining Agreement is no longer in government. Of course they knew that it was impractical & unrealistic and that their successor was gonna suffer the repercussions.

The president can deliver to kenyans if he can stop impunity and a political will to do good things. He talks too much. But he never mean what he says.
All his cabinet needs to go home. They will let him down because they are there only as political clawns they cant advise the president. . He cant build the country by himself all kenyans should be involved.
Now the poor people are loosing everything because of cost of living. Small Business are dying because of cost of operations and customers have no money.
      Young people are becoming hopeless.
