Thank you! I'm going to make these sugar cookie bars! I've always done Christmas cookies and I have run out of time this year. It's the 23rd! No time to make cookie dough, fridge it, roll it, cookie cutter it, bake it and then make all the different icing, ( I do almond, peppermint, lemon). Then the icing and flavors, decorative touches, flooding, etc. no time left😢. I thought we'd just be w/o this year, but now I can do your recipe and still have the Christmas Sugar cookies we always have at Christmas. You saved my Christmas 😘 Merry Christmas Y'all!
@@LittleHillHomesteadGa Oh Thank you!! She's a rescue from Texas, and a proper Southern Girl who dresses up to chase vermin. LOL LOL Go Pack Go!! Excited for the game tonight!!
Offset spatula! lol. I have a massive baking day today as well. I did this to myself. Kinda for good reason. If i did it over the weekend cookie thieves would have been into them HAHAHA. I do a bunch of cookies every year but all of my kids are grown and all but one have flown the coop. I make a ton of stuff to send with the hubs and the two youngest for their work's break room. I need to make pecan pie bars (think pecan pie but on a sugar cookie crust), lots of cookies, caramel corn, and the biggest pain that takes forever is the Chex Mix. I use 12 boxes of cereal, 4 bags of pretzels, 2 massive cans of mixed nuts, and 4 family sized bags of rye chips. I break it up in half because my oven isn't big enough to do more than three disposable roaster pans at a time and it needs to bake for at least 1 1/2 to 2 hours (stirring every 30 mins). Literally have to put it in a clear tote because it won't fit in anything else! lmaooo.
@@LittleHillHomesteadGa I have 7 kids in total and used to make it twice a year every year. I haven't the last several because my hubs was diagnosed in 2020 that he has the beetus. I quit doing it because it is his FAVORITE thing and can't control himself. All that Chex mix is going to my one son's work. It will be gone in two days hahaha. I have to make sausage today as well so it has time to get a little happy happy for my ham balls that i also make on Christmas.
That’s a great recipe, but in my family cookie baking is a serious thing. We use cookie cutters of different shapes, polar bears, and stars, snowflakes, trees, and the gingerbread man who does double duty as a man ,and when you turn him upside down you can decorate him as a reindeer. We make royal frosting and we color it different colors red, green, blue, white what you are using to spread your cream cheese frosting is called an offset spatula.p and they come in many sizes.
Hi Ali I love the ‘realness’ of your videos. I’m not impressed with that model of mixer it doesn’t look to have the ability to add attachments. There is a shield available on Amazon for the kitchenAid. Have a Merry Christmas and safe and healthy New Years
Those look easy and delicious. I love bar cookies. I usually make cranberry bog bars and it’s a favorite at our house. ( canned whole cranberries)
We went to Trader Joe’s and got that delicious tea. Thanks and Merry Christmas
They look good..Merry Christmas ❤❤

You have got to be kidding me! You’re going to need a whole team to help eat that! The pecan pie bars sound amazing.

My favorite homemade cookie, but I prefer a plain glaze icing or no icing at all. But still, a great video and a great cookie from start to finish!

Persimmon cookies are delicious. My recipe is more cake consistency.
Ours too. Like a fruit bread or muffin top.
