My Apple/Mac issue was solved. It requires the Silicon Labs driver before Tamron Application will operate. Now it works!

Hi, am having the same problem my I've installed the utility app but it wont connect to my lens. Kept showing "lens not connected". Where can I get the Silicon Labs driver? And what to do after installing the Silicon Labs driver? Thank you. Your help is appreciated.

Hi, the driver can be found on the installation app. Run it again, it’s in the first step of two (number 1) with an app icon that says “Silicon Labs Driver”. Click on the app and it will download it. Let me know how it goes. I have another video on this also, skip to where I show it:

I also get the "Lens Connection FAILED" message. Used a variety of USB-Cs and even FireWire. Tried all ports on Mac Studio Ultra. Lens removed from Camera. Nothing works!

Hi, thanks for your comment. I assume you also updated the Lens Utility app to version 2 (including the driver to run the app properly). And you examine Tamron lens compatibility list to the app. If you haven’t, please examine their support site below. I myself just followed the instructions for my lens before posting this video.

Thanks for showing. Tamron says "Update can be done with your own camera body". So i tested with the camera body and nothing worked. It a misleading description from tamron in my opinion.

Thanks for your comment. Were you able to get it to work, with the lens removed from the camera?

Thanks for your comment. You may have to use their recommended cable (Tamron’s) or another cable that is “decent” or brand name that is mentioned data transferable USB-C. Let me know how it goes. Thanks.
