Just like the current Switch. More details was revealed in January and February, and released on March.
Well there have been reports of extra buttons for Switch 2 we shall see if they pan out, eventually.
I say they call it Nintendo Universe.
I've been planning to buy a Switch last week actually, so this announcement comes in right on time. Might be smart to go for a Switch Lite to work with until the new one is actually released
May as well get a Lite now since it's not like it'll be easy to get your hands on a Switch 2 the first year anyway

I wonder if they'll go with Switch 2 or something new. Guess it depends on whether the handheld to set top functionality is still the main gimmick this time around.

Highly doubt they'll start numbering their consoles. They've never done so before, so why start now? Switch Detach is the rumor but who know. I do like Super Switch. But then what do you call the one after that?
@@thelastdragon5551 I did wonder if the Wii / Wii U might have put them off keeping the name without a numeral for a home console as, rightly or wrongly, it did seem to shoulder a fair bit of the blame for the failure.
@@brundelfly1 I just hope they don't call it the NEW Switch. That leaves them no room to use the name Switch on the next one after.

It's exciting we're finally getting something. Thank god we can finally put these rumors to rest. It's been way overdue but 8 years is impressive for a Nintendo console. Hopefully the Switch 2 will have some horsepower to it. Next Gen Mario. Next Gen Zelda. Next Gen Smash Bros. Im here for the ride.

I think the successor will be announced will be announced in late 2025, but I'm still going to believe that We're going to see it Holiday 2026 to coincide with the Super Mario Bros. movie 2
Those 2 don’t need to be release at the same time.
@@thelastdragon5551 according to Nintendo, the Super Mario Bros. movie 2 is going to launch on April 2026 and they could aim for the successor for Holiday 2026 and launch it with a new 3d Mario game, if anything we're going to get a soft reveal by 2025.
If Nintendo has the successor release the same year as the Super Mario Bros. movie 2, and that film dose double than the first film, it'll help sell the next console sell like hot cakes, Super Mario Bros. Wonder sold well because of the success of the Super Mario Bros. movie
