- Is Firefly's third death caused by the sparkle bomb? Sparkle hid a bomb on the ship, leading to Firefly's final challenge. She must endure three deaths in Penacony, and this seems to be the third one. To stop the bomb, Firefly grabs it and flies away. This scene is reminiscent of Kiana and Iron Man stopping a bomb. But why are there three "dead" characters on her banner? Is it a sign of something more?

Don't worry, The ship, named the Radiant Feldspar, is in the dreamscape, so the worst damage Sparkle's plushie bomb can do to her is boot her out of the dreamscape. Sure, she can't dream normally, which may cause complications, but Silver Wolf can get her into the dreamscape, and she went through her second death to rally allies against the Embryo of Philosophy, so if she's back in the dreamscape in 2.3, death in the dream doesn't affect Firefly differently than others.

She's definitely gonna die at some point but not in penacony, cuz of her entropy loss syndrome. Unless the trailblazer or stellaron hunters save her.

So we need to give her credit there, but yeah, she right now has been following Kiana’s story, and since this world’s Kiana is dead (died in izumo, along with Kevin technically.) this is the closest thing we got;
Both test tube babies, both having 3 of something, both trying to find meaning in the world, both living for something/someone. (Both having love interests.) and that’s not even including the other character design similarities, like both white-silver hair with body-suits when in combat.
There is def a connection to Kiana in Firefly, either directly, or indirectly, so to say that she’s Kiana’s expy is probably the most apt description we have till Kiana’s actual expy shows up. (Assuming she’s not dead as Acheron kinda implies..)
if the Japanese va is different then firefly is not kiana's expy, the best way to know a character's expy is see the jp va

Her death could be a metaphor. Meaning Sam, the Stellaron Hunter was assumed dead but Firefly lives on and will die as Firefly. She no longer have to bear the name as a soldier or expendable of war, no longer in Elio's script/Stellaron Hunter and can finally be free from her duty until the day she dies as- Firefly.

Literally the masked jesters blew up the astral express once because they said "funneh boom heheh".
If tokusatsu and Kiana taught me anything, Firefly's third "death" could be where she also unlocks SAM's new green form and defy fate.

To be for Gallagher didn’t die he simply couldn’t exist outside of a dream.
Why
Firefly is literally Female ironman. Both assembled a team, both wear suits of armor that cover their whole body and has an interface and both take a chest wound along with dying
For those confused about why these 4 stars are considered as dead, these are the reasons:
Gallagher was "killed" and ended up in Dreamflux Reef. Also, he has stated to be 13 years old and Sunday pointed out his body is composed of parts of over 30 traitors to The Family. He is a walking corpse
Misha is confirmed to be the childhood remnant of the Watchmaker Mikhail. He is said to have been a Trailblazer but died of old age on Penacony. Misha is Mikhail but refers to him as his grandfather. But in truth, they are the same person.
Xueyi is considered to be a zombie of some sort. Her original body is dead but her soul is using puppet bodies to live on.
If Firefly dies again, I swear *WITH THIS TREASURE, I SUMMON-*

Xueyi is dead but also alive. Bc she keeps being revived in new bodies. It’s still her soul in puppet bodies. No need for a funeral bc she gets infinite free revives.
Gallagher and Misha are still alive in the dream for now. Bc the dream hasn’t collapsed yet.
We did get scorchsand vacations which had a cross next to gallagher’s name, but I don’t think he’s actually dead yet. More likely he dropped the facade and reunified with the dream, since he’s the personification of Penacony. Doesn’t mean he can’t come back so long as the dream persists though.
Gallagher is gone because he only existed because there was a secret on penacony. The moment we found out the truth he disappeared. If you finish the main story and play a side quest you can find "Death" crying out his name, because he disappeared.

Hanya then basically put herself and xueyi into a slave contract to work for the judges just to save the soul of her sister and now xueyi can live half a day every day to do her work and "be alive" and have some free time before failing unconscious again, but she forgets her memories of each day or something like that
In the leaks, sparkle’s bomb was actually fireworks. Elio is the employer on that meaning that firefly’s sam identity is the third death

Well kiana didn't die and she got saved by durandal, maybe a durandal expy might save firefly
But at the same time, Kiana and Ironman survived and Firefly's armor should be able to withstand a bomb since it was made to combat one of the worst disasters ever
She DID survive a planet-wide nuke she set off herself. The blast was powerful, but the armor took most of the beating, compared to the other SAMs, who's armor somehow wasn't enough to to evade death.

The flying ship is still in the dream. Bc the charmony festival happens in the dream. We also see those dream bubbles all over the ship. So more likely Firefly will die again in the dream as the dream “explodes.” Only she’ll save everyone and no one else will die.
I think the metaphorical death is gonna be either SAM or Firefly’s dream. If it’s SAM, then she could join us on the express. Though that’s probably copium. If it’s her dream that dies, then “Firefly” herself is dead. Because she has to give up on living in her own body in the world, and has to accept that she’ll have to wear the armor for the rest of her natural life.

That's obvious, kiana is well written character that was actually sacrificing her life to save people in reality while firefly is not really written well at all and already had a random and rushed "death," before and is "sacrificing" herself to save some people in a dream

I think one detail is that (except for Aha), none of the masked fools we know of now actually killed anyone, neither sampo nor sparkle, like most of their doings were for fun and enjoyment, but probably not murder… or I could be wrong XD

She can now that the Order is gone. That was the only thing keeping people from truly dying in Penacony's dream. The 2.2. secret epilogue confirms this. Robin barely survived the fall with Sunday because the Order is no longer present.
