I swear to God that 'Aunt Rhody' death sound was already driving me crazy everytime you died. Never attempted this mode myself, but there will be a time I want to 100% RE7. After Village, I was kinda done with 1st person Resident Evil for a while, not that I hated the game, but I just prefer 3rd person. Very much enjoyed this video! Good stuff. Keep it up!

I can't even tell you exactly how many months I spent trying to get this one trophy. Of course, my attempts weren't consistent and sometimes I went for a long time without even touching this game. But eventually I always came back to this game mode. One night I was once again at it, failing one run after another. I made it to the greenhouse once more and I started to feel like I could actually pull it off. For the entirety of the Marguerite boss fight I was cool as a cucumber on the outside but freaking out on the inside. My palms were so sweaty after squeezing the controller like my life depended on it. Knees weak, arms were heavy. The moment the trophy finally popped truly was one of my greatest achievements ever. It was nerve wrecking and frustrating at times, but honestly really fun at the same time.
Oh yeah - nearly forgot about this gamemode until I recently reinstalled the game. I had already gotten the achievement after a LOT of trial and error, and have found an extremely efficient way of going through the level without dying (most of the way). The game itself relies entirely on randomly generated boxes, in the hopes that you get good loot.
Yeh this game mode is a whole other level of troll. Congrats on getting the achievement though! Like you said, it's a lot of trial and error but after learning how it works everything becomes pretty manageable.
just started playing resident evil for the first time and really enjoy videos like this. just finished re1 remake as jill and chris so moving onto re2 remake. really cool that re games have so much replayability with extra game modes, different things that can happen in the story etc as i usually stay away from singleplayer games because lack of replayability.

If you want another way to use the flamethrower, you can get cheeky and use it on the trap that is wired to the first door you see in the meat room before going to the hallway and you will be alright. As long as you only open it a crack though and make sure you stay out of the blast while you are outside the door. Flamethrower is good at triggering traps.
The boxes blowing up is such bs, ive never played this cause i suck at horror games but i felt bad every time the boxes blew you up, gotta have been awful knowing it wasnt even an enemy or anything haha
I personally had to use a guide but STILL found it super difficult to get through, so I have to applaud you for getting through this hellish experience with no guide. I do believe however that Joe Must Die (or the King of the Swamp) achievement is the most difficult one for RE7, but you can save in that DLC so you could make an argument there than EMD restarts you from the very beginning every time you die. All Jack's birthday achievements are super easy btw, so I think the reason why they have a low completion rate is simply because people don't attempt them as much.

My re7 perfection is one of my most proud completions. I tried off and on for years trying to beat it. One night I got the blackjack achievement and thought fuck it I’m doing Ethan must die. I got so lucky on a run, got both of the scrolls of defense and a full magnum. Then just camped at the final fight and let the turrets do most of the work. When Margarette finally died, I screamed.
Only thing with this mode. Is that the only real part I’d consider considerable use of skill is the boss fight. All throughout the mansion is mostly you dying to learn safe spots. Ways around and strategies to get past cheeky traps or enemy spawns. On Xbox (my first play through) I had well over 100+ deaths. On PC when I got the game again. I completed it probably on attempt 5. Because I remembered most of the cheap trap locations and ways to get around
Yeh that is how it works, even still the boss can be manipulated into falling for the traps in the room, so theoretically you could just not interact with Marguerite and still make it out on top! Fun ass mode haha
Hey you ever feel like after playing Village seeing how much it improves on 7 that when you go back to playing 7 again you feel like the irritations start piling up? For example, 7 having Ethan cramping his hands for a few seconds after guarding an attack(which personally i found annoying compared to how fast it is in Village).
If I remember correctly, you would take more damage from ticking trapped crates(get close to hear the ticking), the higher star’d they are, 4 star always being fatal. Almost instant edit: can confirm actually, I just died to one as I posted this comment.
I always figured they were all one shots, unless we're talking about the few that are in story mode when trying to get Lucas, then to that point I don't know lol
@@thegreyscott story mode - damage depends on how close E.M.D - 1 star is 25, 2 star is 50, 3 star is 75, 4 star is 100, this goes off your whole health bar, as it’ll remove that much, so say the game reads you as having 51 HP, and you smack a 2 star crate, you’ll be at 1HP, aka die whilst blocking, yet sometimes, aka commonly, it’ll break and all boxes will be one shot, you just can’t tell sadly-

You say the x-ray glasses are poo... but if you realize they would help any noob see that there is no item icon in the box, it means it's a trap, there is also another way to tell without the glasses but i honestly don't remember.
Just went and redownloaded re7 to check if it's as easy as I remember it being, it was. Didn't take very long and died about as much as you did. Only died on the boss fight once to a machine gun, beat her 2nd try. What's funny is that I played the steam version when my original save was Xbox, so I have a few achievements and then ethan must die and no main game achievements.

21+ definitely ain't no joke. The way I beat that was unlocking Ultimate Draw and ESPECIALLY Trump Switch+. Those two cards will hard carry you, for as long as you hold onto like two perfect draws or ultimate draws for the last opponent, you SHOULD be good lol
@TheGreyScott reporting back to say I FINALLY BEAT IT!! I was at a 7 out of 10 on the shock thing and had my inventory packed with trump cards I completely obliterated the last guy and got my trophy!! Those ultimate cards helped SOOOO much!! 😭😂
you only need to know what box you can not touch, then rng then made gun ammo improved and 1:14 shoes help alot in marguerite so ugly boss can not catch up you, for example you doing it very wrong 18:37 dont need to shot this trap just pass leave it..

I didn't think of that actually but you can tell that the boxes are bombs if it only has one roll of tape around it.

I have the game sitting at 98% I just need to beat 21+ I've tried soooo many times but just can't seem to do it
21+ definitely ain't no joke. The way I beat that was unlocking Ultimate Draw and ESPECIALLY Trump Switch+. Those two cards will hard carry you, for as long as you hold onto like two perfect draws or ultimate draws for the last opponent, you SHOULD be good lol

@TheGreyScott reporting back to say I FINALLY BEAT IT!! I was at a 7 out of 10 on the shock thing and had my inventory packed with trump cards I completely obliterated the last guy and got my trophy!! Those ultimate cards helped SOOOO much!! 😭😂

Well its a puzzle mode really..
While there is RNG to what drops once you get the flow you can get through 1/3 of it without anyrhing but a knife
you only need to know what box you can not touch, then rng then made gun ammo improved and 1:14 shoes help alot in marguerite so ugly boss can not catch up you, for example you doing it very wrong 18:37 dont need to shot this trap just pass leave it..
i need to see him play dead space 2 hardcore or dead space 3 hardcore or dead space remake impossible.
