It actually appeared in some manga during Crossbone Gundam and Victory Gundam. It was heavily damaged and used crude replacement parts like a manipulator claw and hid it's face. An Elderly Judau still piloted it and referred to it as his "Brother". A 2 seater version called the "Mega Zeta" appeared in the crossover manga with Space Runaway Ideon.
I have a love hate relationship with Double Zeta. A part of me loves how bulky and powerful it looks, especially when In its FAZZ form which is way cooler imo and I really love the idea that the ZZ and Judau are still doing their thing as late as the UC 150's, making ZZ technically the longest lasting (active) Gundam in the UC universe. However, I've always had trouble seeing it as a followup or even sister unit to the Zeta. It's just so different. If anything, S Gundam seems like it would have been more a logical looking "heavy version" sister unit to the Zeta than the ZZ even sharing that unique face. Also yeah, maybe it's just the super gimmicky way it was handled in the series but the three part core block system just seemed like it was begging to get shot at (another reason I love the FAZZ more, as it's just a big heavyweight Gundam no gimmicks.). Hell I think the series itself sort of pokes fun at that doesn't it? Victory actually handled the idea of a multi part forming mobile suit a lot better imo, cause it treated the parts as completely disposable which makes the idea make a bit more sense, especially for a group as guerilla as the League Militare, but Judau and the Gundam team I think only got the one Double Zeta. But ZZ will always have dat glamour pose.
The Superior gundam is actually the sister mech to the ZZ as it shares the same 3 core modual system and is technically the ZZ gundams better replacement. ZZ is MS-010 the Superior is MS-011. Though I wish they make non real grade hg fully transformable Superior Gundam and S Gundam EXS.
The sheer bulk of ZZ is just enough to tell you that it's a powerhouse when in armed conflict. Even if you compare it to the likes of the Penelope or Xi Gundam.
What's the criteria of something qualifying as a MA? All the MA in MSG either were tanks/spaceships with limbs (Azdam, Bigro, Zakrello, Big Zam), had psycommu modules (BrawBro, Elmeth) or were a version of a pre-existing MA (Grublo). G-Fortress has none.
Well, why is Bruh-Bro a MA while a Musai-class isn't? Bruh-Bro is just a small battleship with wired separated cannons. G-Fortress is just a.... plane.

I'm curious if the Gundam revive gunpla's will add the ZZ Gundam to it? I mean they go the Gundam Mk. II, Hyaku Shiki and the Zeta Gundam, so the ZZ is the last one to reform the Gundam team.
