can you PLEASE do a video on handling the sharks correctly? I can't find a video on that anywhere... thank you. HUGE FAN
Douglas Pitcher yeah that’s what I want to know
Is it rlly that hard ? It’s common sense really
one thing I have experienced with bridling is that sometimes the line you use to bridle get's bitten through with hardly any tention, meanin' you lost your bait and the fish is gone. I fixed that by usin 7x7(49 strand) or 7x19(133 strand) cable in diameters still soft enough for the whole process, with the 7x19 you can go a bit heavier cause it's softer, which is good, cause the thicker your bridle material, the less it cut's through your bait and ripps out.
of course this 0.4-0.8mm cable would get bitten through by sharks, but only under tension, I've never seen it get bitten through like i had it with mono and braid when bridlin'
I use whatever you rig up for me. 💁🏻

Skidz Keepitstreet Awesome! I'm glad to have you! More content coming soon!
This is amazing, hooking my bait is the one problem I’ve always had for LBSF and now you just solved it for me. You’re a legend
The way the bait was connected to the hook was excellent. I'm going to start baiting my hooks for all my monster size fish that way....I'm always learning some new great fishing information from you...
Awesome video man 👏 ... Helped me learn how to bridle a bait ... You are a excellent teacher
Zip ties work the best
I use a double circle hook rig with 24/0 hooks and have had a very successful hookup ratio and always in the corner of the mouth.
Great video Victor! that is really interesting might have to start the doing that with my baits
Good Tip.... I have had the same issues with bites ripping the hook out of baits .
Looks very solid.. I’m definitely going to try this. Thanks for the video.
Nice vid. I've bridle my big baits for many years now. I don't do it quite like you but the concept is the same....hook exposure.
Juno Ryan said yah I don't need this vid I just use your rigs Lol great vid
Love those vid keep up the good work. It’s a lot of help to us weekend worriers
woke up pumped today because it was tackle tuesday!!! was thinking surely it would be a tackle tuesday today. waited for the notification all day but nothing. :(
+Aaron B I took a little break from TT
Do more wade fishing
Were you at kob in saint Pete last Saturday?
Rarely, but it happens...when you don't bridle.. a big bait can stay on and slide up the line while fighting the shark. Another shark comes in and grabs the bait cutting your mono shock leader or main line.
Why you use wire bud
Great info. I understand better why to use bridle. What I don't understand is it almost every situation you seem to way too much bait. Why do you use so much bait not only in bridle situations but also in situations like deep drop? Why isn't 1 or 2 mouthfuls enough?
Great work, thanks bud
Jupiter josh haven't you been in land sharks vids
Hey I was wondering what bait is on the opening screen of the video, a guy on a pier gave me a bait that look just like that and I hooked into a 5ft black tip but I don't know what it was or were to get it at PLEASE HELP
Looks like a chunk of jack crevalle or amberjack
Do you think you can go pier fishing at like gulf state pier or Pensacola
bring this back 👌👌
Upholstery needle works a little better
Do you this for surf casting baits too?
That's what in wondering too
Got a 30000 Stella
U think a zip tie would be a bad idea?
What kayak do you use for bait deployment? I want to get one that is cheap but will still get the job done. Any recommendations? I am 5 ft 8 and 160 lbs
andrew ko I suggest something around the 10 foot range. it make turning easier when dealing with surf, also depending on how far out you intend to paddle I would suggest something with a sleeker hull to cut through the water a little faster with less effort
andrew ko Frenzy
okay cool, thank you both for your suggestions.
It depends on the surf you deal with. The cheap closed shit from walmart or sams will capsize in a few seconds here. Best thing to do is go to a kayak store, and if they have the pool out back try some of the sit on kayaks out.
i bought me an emotion spitfire 9 kayak. it was on clearance at cabela's haha. It is suprisingly stable for something not much better than a walmart kayak.
Good Video!
Nice vid
To Bridle or Not to bridle that is the question?
Yay or nay?
Landshark Fishing I'd say yay. the logic behind it is sound. however, I do suggest wrapping the hook with electrical tape from right behind the barb all the way to the eye. the shark is more like to drop a BAIT when it feels the clank of metal on its teeth. wrapping the hook in electrical tape makes the hook feel more like bone than metal. try (lightly) biting a hook with and without electrical tape yourself and see what I mean
Good tip thanks .....makes sense as metal would be foreign to most sharks I would think.
yes bridle but dont use braid because your hook can still move around and double back into the bait, use 25 pound copper wire, run a strand or 2 through the bait, give it 2 or 3 twist tight on the bait then put your hook on top of the wraps and twist 2 or 3 times on the hook then tighten with pliers. This will bridle your bait and hold your hook stationary. Then if u dont put the wire too deep, it will rip out on hookset.
in the uk we call this the hair rig for catching carp, look on utube for hair rig
WHY
Nice
Victor,
One of the many benefits of bridling baits is that you can step down the size of the hooks that you use since you no longer need to go through the bait. Check out UltimateBaitBridle.com. If you want any, I would be happy to send you some to try out.
Dean
thanks...!!!! but that bait fish you have there looks like its seen better days lol
What happened to Brook I have not seen any videos from her in a while?
I use 17ga electric fence wire
The shark won't be scared of the hook
Sharks are like catfish. Not line shy.
Zip tie would probably be more easy
Adam T zip tie would rip out alot easier then this way
I know this is 7 years old and doubt you still do it that way. We do it with a zip tie then rubber band.
more videos with ryan
Would zip ties work
That’s what I’ve always used
Sometimes up here we Paddle it out 700 yard

So it's kinda like a hair rig on steroids. Nice.

Missed you at Juno Yesterday
Landshark Fishing ik did I miss out on the blue runner bite?
Lot of stretch in mono, almost zero stretch in braid. Just sayin...
If anyone wants a custom 1.5 oz snook jig hmu on ig sailfish608, also I really enjoyed the video, I don't shark fish but you inspired me to start learning about diverse types of fishing
Ive seen people use zip ties
