You are stealthfully hilarious, Mojo! 😂 "Darren's a baby, but I'm having the time of my life."😂 Well Ziggy, Godspeed to you my friend. 👏 Sometimes when we grow, we don't fit in the same pot anymore. It's all about balances and adjustments to accommodate that growth. 😊 Thank you for continuing to vlog. I thoroughly enjoy you and the content. ✌️🌲🏕🌲

I don’t know what it is about you, Molly, you’re just so precious, likable, having a sweet character about you! If you made a video on picking up doggy-poo in the park I think people would enjoy the video of you! You’re the type person we all would enjoy having as our friend. Just speaking the truth of what folks are thinking anyway. Love your videos-like all your other fans! Happy to hear that you have found your contentment away from the AT-that can be a tall hurdle to jump! I’m certain there will be other hiking excursions to places unknown-and we shall follow you like children behind the Pied-piper!

WOW!!! Explosion of fungus and mushrooms on the trail! 😮 It's nice to watch you hike in the rainy fall weather in Oregon with your family! Have fun and be safe! 😊

I love watching your videos! You have just a little different perspective on things and your content is good. I've never been to Oregon but it sure is beautiful in your video's. You will get the post trail confusion and conflicting feelings resolved eventually. Don't worry, just think through it, talk to your thru hiking friends and although it will never go away, it becomes easier to deal with once you realize that you are simply at a point of post trail and pre the rest of your life whatever that involves. Good to hear about Ziggy. He's got the trail kicked in the ass, it's just a formality now. Take care, stay healthy and please keep making videos.

Rain on a tent is one of those things that in my memory is a peaceful, calming thing. But in actuality it can sometimes be so loud that it is nerve wracking.

No, don’t stop, your blogs are great videography, informative narration, in absolutely wonderful places and allow others a glimpse of what you experience daily when on the trail. As for Ziggy, if you find out how he prepared for hiking in potentially challenging conditions, please share. Did they prepare for worse case scenarios, what clothing did he carry and what did his pack weigh.
Enjoy Thanksgiving, look forward to the next edition.

It's great to get the updates and also really interesting to see what the woods and terrain look like in Oregon -- a place I've never been to. I live in the East, and it ain't dry here (except for this fall), but Oregon looks like something from the Cretaceous Period. This has to be a temperate rain forest with all the moss on the branches, etc. Wild.

Oh wow - Ziggy ended up in the situation I wondered about - what happens if you do everything but those last miles to the peak of Katahdin. Very interesting.- hope it works out for him

The rain was just playing with you, at least didn’t have to suffer any hard climbs to overcast summits. The first and second climbs you did as free crossing river after night in Great Barrington is a forest fire zone now. Been without much rain since August, under control probably will smolder until first big”weather event” heavy rain or snow in winter. AT closed for about 6.5 miles there. Happy Trails, Bandits a trooper no rain gear. ⛄️

Bravo to Ziggy! I applaud his fortitude👏🏻 A December Winter hike on Katahdin sounds most challenging. Took me about 3 weeks to get over my bad dreams of being lost, in the summer, on the Abol winter trail descent. Now, my hiking pace has slowed and my steps have more thoughtful purpose. It is interesting that sometimes a good hike in the woods is needed to find a path of balance in life. Love the sound of rain. Thanks for that. Cheers to your dedicated effort to once again experience nature’s tooth and claw. Wishing you a mighty fine life. Happy Trails!

Wonderful video! A 5.x mi hike was a good distance, as it turned out (thinking specficially of Bandit's physical capabilities. I like how you're keeping strong physical and emotional links to your hiking, while bridging your 2 different worlds, with intentional, dedicated time on a trail when possible. Excellent approach. Plus, with your ability to creatively show different aspects of nature, hiking and camping, you're helping to demonstrate for your audience the many positive aspects of getting out there on a trail, even when it's for a few miles. Keep on keepin' on! Thanks for the Ziggy update too.

O.K., I caught you. Where I live, at 20*F, it's not raining. lol Now, if you're in Canada and talking Celsius, that would be 68*F and would make the lack of gloves and shorts make a lot more sense.
I loved the video, more please!

Thanks for sharing. Too bad they closed Mt Katahdin just when Ziggy got there. Hiking Katahdin in December will be difficult even with a guide. I hope Ziggy will keep safety foremost in his mind. Look forward to your videos and updates. Darren and Bandit are good sports and great hiking companions.

Good to get out again - and - with Darren and Bandit. Also, a 'mighty fine' update on Ziggy - hope he has crampons and an ice axe with him for a December ascent and descent of Katahdin. And - it's not a matter of fitting back in 'perfectly' - your journey on the A.T. has become something of a parallel lifestream that will recur, from time to time, at the most unexpected moments. Try to embrace the two as separate entities - they are not meant to be integrated into a single, larger whole. Here's something to chew on: Saudade - "...a vague and constant desire for something that does not and probably cannot exist; for something other than the present, a turning toward the past or toward the future; not an active discontent or poignant sadness, but an indolent, dreaming wistfulness."(A.F.G. Bell, 1912, from Portuguese). Be well, stay safe. 🥾

Hey Molly, I have a question if you ever do your question segment. Did you feel like the Appalachian Trail was overcrowded? I'm a introvert and I like to hike alone. Do you feel like I would still get enough alone time on the trail? Thanks.

Beautiful terrain but this is why I could never live in PNW. I simply must have daily sunshine for trail running and hiking.

I live in the PNW. We refer to the rain as liquid sunshine. Joy and happiness comes in all types of weather in nature. To each their own.

Hi Molly great to see you again! 😊. That rain sure did sound good we here in New Jersey were in a drought with no rain for almost 48 days. We finally got some rain just the end of last week! Thanks for the update on Ziggy! Such a shame he missed out on his summit! I wish him luck in December. Please keep us updated on ziggy. Hope Bandits foot was ok. Have a great thanksgiving to you and your family! Hike on. 🥾🇺🇸❤️
