The way this dudes write those symphonies, the guitar parts, the drums, all together is pure talent, such a great band, you will never resist a DGD album, doesnt care who is singing
i honestly think Tilian is the best thing that has happened to this band but tbh thats my opinion and i think the reason i think that is bc i started listening to them after the album Acceptance Speech other than that Jonny is pretty friggin awemazing also but Tilian is my life cx
IMO He's definitely not the best thing that ever happened to this band. Lemon Meringue Tie was. All of DTBM1 was the best! I love Tillian so much. As I do Kurt since he helped me get through some shit when he joined the band but long story short: Jonny and DTBM1 are the greatest thing that ever happened to this band. What's even better is when Jonny, Kurt, and Tillian on stage together last month. So much sex noise coming from that stage. 😪😪 won't ever happen again. I was lucky I got to watch it happen!
I just discovered DGD this year and they've become my new obsession. I 100% agree with you, I love the old stuff with Kurt and Jonny, but the current lineup with Tillian, Jon and the rest elevated this band onto a whole other level
That's his voice. Every vocalist has tuning to their voice on records to make sure the pitch never drops or goes higher. Believe it or not, Tilian has an amazing voice. He's very talented, and this album kicks ass.
I can't predict the future And I can't forget the past Can't focus any longer Desperate to make this last Keep us from going under Won't waste all that we have You called it in November And it burned up in a flash - that fuckin part right there is AMAZING
The guitar riff that starts at 0:28 is so fresh...Really would like to see how Will Swan plays some of the songs on this record. It's incredible how creative he is!
I can’t really put into words how much that song has helped me I was on the verge of breaking up with a girl I gave 3 years of my life anytime I was feeling down I would just drown myself in this song
...not to mention this is the strongest performance jon mess has laid out ona record in my opinion. It's like he combined the harshness and amplitude of what he did on the deathstar album with what he was able to do on dbm2, which had more of a frantic and reckless abandon vibe to it. The lyrics are some of his best too.
I honestly really like the part @1:50 since johns unclean vocals need to be appreciated as much as tillian. fry screaming takes alot. I understand that most people enjoy tillians more relaxed parts of song but cmon show some more respect 4 john !
I can't predict the future And I can't forget the past Can't focus any longer Desperate to make this last Keep us from going under Won't waste all that we have You called it in November And it burned up in a flash Those lyrics kill me. Fucking women.
One of the most progressive bands i've ever heard. Tillian does an amazing job fitting in with the style of DGD and adds a little something more that most people weren't expecting. FUCKING amazing.

John mess clearly says "Is there something more to YOU than just Bible Study?" not ME... I feel like most of the lyric sets posted for this album are slightly off :(
I remember hearing "Turn your camera on" in a Vine that Tilian had posted a couple of months ago, and when I heard it on the album, I got so excited because I was waiting to hear it from the moment I started it. Still my favorite part.
I've been a huge DGD fan ever since I pubs them out in 7th grade and now I'm in college an I've seen all the changes that's happened throughout the years and I think all the frontman that they've chosen was for a reason. And I think Tillian is a good fit, at first I was really skeptical about him being in the band but I understand what they were going for I think the album still sticks with the DGD vibe. I really like the sound and vocals just everything from 1:00-1:42
Tillian can sing falsetto very naturally, pretty much just through practice I imagine. Tides of Man shows off his range a bit better, but Acceptance Speech is some of the highest I've ever heard him go. And don't forget about Mess!
Been a dgd fan since I was in middle school they've always had my best band spot. tillians voice is fucking amazing I doubt they can do anything to make me dislike them ASK ME ABOUT MY DGD!!!
this album is so good though it can't surpass the old influential post hardcore albums like worship and tribute, full collapse, relationship of command, etc.
Delusions of grandeur was not coined but indeed used twice in A Lot Like Birds lyrics. I wonder...haha loving the new album a lot tilian really fits well.
At the Drive-In, Fugazi, and DLJ are all epic, but DGD is great too. It's just different. It's in the "post-hardcore" genre, yet loosely. regardless, respect all of them because they are all incredible bands.

So I hated this album, but somehow I have grown to accept their decision on this album and I have actually liked this album, I'm not saying its the worst or best album but it is unique, just like every album they released, they are completely different and unique but still have that DGD feel to it. I like that, they aren't all the same, I can go back to any DGD album and not get tired of listening to them because they are different but the same, not sure of that makes sense. Good music great composers.

Well, now were getting a new singer 10 years later, buckle up 🤙🏻
i love the way jon delivers "i wanna love you but this house aint built for two"
Overall. Dgd will always be amazing. No matter all the switches with the vocalists. they will always be amazing.
karina amaro dgd is best with johnny craig.
5 years later pal, I agree.
Only Band I know thats been FUCKING AMAZING with 3 different singers. Will Swan is a music mastermind.
Don't forget Jon Mess. Jon Mess is a genius.

Joel Olivares YEAH i cant believe other people havent said this yet !
Yup, my favorite part of the song
Best part of the album
The beautiful way Tillian comes in this song just gets me everytime. These guys know how to make you feel those emotions.
The guitar riff that starts at 0:28 is so fresh...Really would like to see how Will Swan plays some of the songs on this record. It's incredible how creative he is!
Is anyone else obsessed with 3:30-4:08 specifically? the rest of the song is godly tho.
John C 0:00 to 4:56 is the best
I know that man. I just love the part I just mentioned.
John C me too best part of the song in my opinion hits so many feels
favorite part 1:00- 1:42
Yeah it's so hard not to move to this part. Favorite part of the album right there haha.
dancedylandance4 yeah, it kinda wants to make me dance too lol
I agree a full loop of just the part pf tillian before mess' heavier part? I could listen to this whole song everyday and get so into it and demp team
I know this is a 2 year old comment, but YES. I'm dancing to that part as I type this. 😂
+David Pottinger 2 years later I still move to this part of the song. Always will. Lol

Probably both
Both
Both is good.
It is very slightly

Wow literally just noticed that lmao. So trippy
2:30-4:08 love that part so much

I love tilians part right there. Some really good writing there, specifically the can't predict the and can't forget the past bit
Jon's screaming "I want to love you but this house ain't built for two" sounds like old Maylene and the Sons of Disaster. Love it.

Probably one of my favorite songs from the album. these guys are great song writers!!
Kurt and Johnny are good but they can't compare to tillian. He's the best dgd vocalist. My opinion
I believe Jon Mess deserves to be called the best Vocalist

i love your opinion.
I love you all
I love tilian era the best too, agreed
