Please have a cooking show with the 3 of you! This is so sweet and entertaining! I miss my grandma so much. My brother and I never had the chance to cook with her before she passed

Except I think she used the paper towel Vanessa was using to dry the Turkey so there might have been raw meat juices all over lol I don’t doubt they cleaned the counter when cooking was done but I almost clutched my pearls 😂
It’s so nice to see a young woman of today jump in and tackle Thanksgiving dinner from scratch using new and old traditional ways of cooking. A few years ago my son volunteered to come to our house at 5:30 in the morning to help me with Thanksgiving dinner. My husband was the in the hospital that week having a stint put in. We had so much fun and got everything done on time. Here in Texas, we like to smoke our turkey so my husband was directing my son from the hospital on how to use our smoker. We brined it from the night before. My husband was finally released from the hospital after everyone was th😢rough eating.
I am so reminded of a Thanksgiving day years ago where my husband was in the kitchen helping my mother an me make dinner. The family famous quote that came from that day is and always will be, "bossy woman in this family". Although he has passed, he will always be with us and especially remembered every Thanksgiving. So beautiful to see you all sharing in the making of a festive meal. Family is so precious. Looks absolutely delicious.
A few extra 🦃 tips: 1. Make sure you check inside the cavity for giblets before you stuff 2. Trussing the bird will make for a more even bake 3. Let it sit for a good 20-30 minutes with tin foil over it before you cut into it. If you cut it hot out of the oven it lets a lot of moisture out. As usual, great video and Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍽 🍁 🙏🏼

I cooked my 1st Thanksgiving dinner from scratch at 10 yrs old. My Nana sat at the kitchen table and taught me. I've been doing it ever since and I just turned 50!
Such a beautiful and loving family, I am addicted to watching you you need to have a weekly television show. We need this kind of enjoyment in our lives.
I never watched girl with the dogs I found spicy nonna first! I love how the whole time Julian was so confused and amazed at everything 😂 The food looked amazing! Good job, Vanessa! I love this family! ❤ God bless you all!
Adoro La Nona Picante❤ It's a channel that fills my heart with love and admiration. Molto grato per tutto ciò che condividi con noi✨ E che bello vedere Nona Nina più rilassata quando condivide con noi in cucina 🥹 aprendiendo más 🤣
I only recently found Nonna, so I didn’t know about Vanessa’s channel. Yes I subscribed. I don’t want to overstep, but I do have a suggestion for stuffing the turkey. My mom used to line the bird with cheesecloth after she spiced the inside. You tie a knot in the bottom, make like a cheese cloth bag and put that in the cavity of the turkey.. you want enough that you’re going to have an overhang. Then you stuff the turkey like you normally would only you tie a loose knot very loose knot in the bag. You truss the turkey legs as normal. When your turkeys done, you don’t have to scoop the stuffing out with a spoon you just pull the bag out and the inside of the cavity is clean. You get all the benefits of the turkey juice is in the stuffing and you don’t have to worry about making sure the carcass is clean when you’re done
That was a wonderful time that you let us spend with all of fixing your Thanksgiving dinner!! I already do many of the things that Vanessa does with her turkey, stuffing & gravey. So i know it tasted amazing!! However, if I decide to not stuff my bird with stuffing, I put slices of lemon & orange as well as whole herbs under the skin. If I decide to make the stuffing outside of the bird. I put whole peeled lemons , oranges & apples in the bird. The lemon & orange peels are diced & added to the inside of the bird. That makes the turkey so tender & moist. It practically falls off the bones. Bon appitito!!
Onion tip I learned over the years of my cooking to shed LESS tears. 😭 That is to cut off the top and the bottom before you peel it. I promise, I've cut enough onions in my life, that I no longer cry. 😭❤ Just like Nonna, and your sissy, we got immune to the onions. But it's best to use them in any recipe you can, it keeps you from getting sick 🤧 is what I was raised believing. Happy Late Thanksgiving to All 💐
I was born in orphan. I had no family and all the family I have now is the children that I brought into the world. Oh how much I would love to have a family like this. That I could’ve learned from to be a better mother.
You are probably a great mother just by your desire to be good! You get to be the nonna to your children’s children and start your own traditions with your family too . Wishing you your heart’s desires ❤
I started following Girl with the Dogs and then found Nonna and Nonno and I fell completely in love! I love that Nonna trusts Vanessa and follows her instructions without interfering - saying that she probably taught her everything! She will be proud to say her Grandaughter taught her this! You are all so blessed - beautiful family x
Here in Canada, Thanksgiving is always celebrated on the 2nd Monday of October. In the USA they always celebrate it on the 4th Thursday of November. :)
We need to move up Thanksgiving to replace Columbus Day in the USA, to give us a longer Christmas shopping period, give better travel weather for Thanksgiving, and make for better school schedules.
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! I loved watching you prepare everything Lady with the Dogs ... truly a PRO CHEF! WOW! Thanks to all 3 of you for sharing your prep time together, and just everything. WONDERFUL. Much love and blessings from SOUTH AFRICA. 🌞🌍🦓🙏😍
Came for the cooking show, stayed for the hilarious family dynamic at play! 😂👍 Was shocked that when Vanessa was saying 'Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme.' None of you started singing 'Scarborough Fair'!
I was watching Vanessa - Girl with the Dogs and then found your channel- I could not understand why Vanessa was in your videos - oh my goodness - you are all fabulous .i am an Italian American who absolutely loves your Nonna and Nonno . Thank you so much
Vanessa will make a good wife and mother some day. She knows a lot about cooking a turkey dinner. Much of that process is timing all the parts of the meal so the food is hot at the table. My family tradition growing up was making the home made gravy, potatoes, stuffing, and side dishes. I always had to polish the silverware as a kid. My sister today makes the mashed potatoes using a hand held mixer (like for cake mix) and puts in chives, butter, and milk. The potatoes fluff up and then she bakes a crust on top as a final stage. I strain the gravy too. Then I make a rue with butter and flour as a base for gravy. It is nice to see the whole family together eating a nice meal.
You celebrate Thanksgiving in October which is very nice, the height of autumn. So nice that the three of you prepared the meal together. Vanessa, you are a young woman of many talents. The stuffing is my favorite part of the meal. Yours looked scrumptious. Happy Thanksgiving. 🇺🇸❤️🇨🇦
I love your recipes and I think the young man is a very lucky to have Nonna and his sister cooking and I like how he’s helping out! Looks very yummy! Definitely going to try that stuffing recipe! God bless you and your family and thank you for the wonderful recipes and loving family. ❤
I’ve been adding some milk to the water when doing potatoes now, I use a ricer then add milk and leave, just before serving I put back onto the stove and stir in butter. So creamy and smooth. I’ve adopted so many of Nona’s recipes after making, everything is amazing.
Just checked out Vanessa's channels "Girl With the Dogs" and "Girl With the Dogs 2", great channels by the way. She just gained a new sub on both channels, FYI, former rescuer here.
Absolutely heartwarming video. When the "translucent VS transparent" topic occurred, I immediately spoke to my television and corrected Julian, LoL. The comedic undertones of sibling rivalry between Vanessa and Julian are fun to watch. _Vanessa, it is abundantly clear to me that you are endowed with your Nonna' innate culinary abilities. The turkey is mouthwatering_ . I truly enjoyed this video.🤠
Vanessa you made that turkey with such finesse, you were so calm and in control! The opposite of me for sure! I’m always so frazzled, my kitchen is in complete chaos once I’m done wrestling with the bird! Bravo to you! I’m buying a roster like yours…this Thanksgiving in the US I’ll be thinking about you while I use your recipe! ❤❤❤❤
I'm only halfway through, but this is such a joy to watch!! Happy Thanksgiving to Nonno, Nonna, and the entire family!!! I just wanted to share a popular way of cooking a turkey in the States, because I thought you might find it interesting. For several years now, my brother has deep fried our Thanksgiving turkey. You can look up how to do it on TH-cam. (it is not heavily breaded, like southern fried chicken). You use a special container and fill it with peanut oil, and the thin turkey skin turns out crispy while the meat turns out very juicy. Frying also cooks a huge turkey faster than most of the other methods. I don't know if deep frying a turkey is only popular in the southern US, or if it is a method that has spread all over the country. Regardless, I thought you might enjoy looking it up and seeing how people do it. Sending you all of my love and best wishes!!!
I watched a bunch of your videos. Love that you do the segments to address directly to the camera. Like the translucent spot. Havent seen any other channels do that. Well done.
That was a beautiful dinner! Vanessa did an amazing job and gave great tips. Lots of great herbs and butter. Happy Thanksgiving to your beautiful family!
I am a newbie to both channels. I love watching your sister groom, the dogs she is amazing with those beautiful animals and the food that your grandmother cooks is probably so delicious. I can taste it through the television. Keep up the good work family you’re awesome.
MMMMM! My brother makes an excellent gravy. He roasts the bones after he carves the turkey, then adds them back to the boiling juices, really kicks up the flavor. Happy thanks giving!!😊🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Vanessa, what a great & very enjoyable kitchen demonstration with your family. Your brother is adorable, eager to assist & freely expressive of his love of well prepared & tasty food. His absolute enjoyment of your Thanksgiving meal is simply stated over & over with 4 beautiful words: “ this is so good!” There is no better compliment than those words! Nonna was more subdued in this video., not as spicy as usual. I think she was very impressed by you & your skills and desired to learn your recipe! A wise woman, with an innate understanding of who is boss in the kitchen today. You are all so loving with each other with the usual spicy comments-thrown in there! Just so heart warming! Vanessa, you are quite bossy, yes, spicy as well. Totally in control & confident in your skills, process, technique and recipe. I learned a number of new things from this Turkey preparation & recipe. Sage, who knew? It IS THE MOST ESSENTIAL INGREDIENT FOR A TASTY & DELICIOUS STUFFING & TURKEY! You may give Nonna some real competition for the spicier, bossier kitchen title! I found Nonna’s channel first. I found your dog channel from Nonna’s channel. I love Nonno so much too! His ability to creatively solve any problem in the kitchen or garden reminds me of my own father, who immigrated to America in his early 30”s after the war. He could also solve any problem with his ingenuity. Even Nonno’s clarity of speech, the words he choses to explain things to his grandson & his heart-warming accent brings such fond & loving memories rushing back into my mind & heart. My spirit is always elevated by videos featuring Nonno ! Keep telling us your life stories Nonno. They always teach us a valuable life lesson. Love you, you sweet, intelligent & hardworking man! May God bless you with health & and very long life. I know you have already fought a number of difficult health issues. But you are a fighter & a winner and I pray that you remain in good health for many, many more years. Thank you to your entire family for sharing your kitchen & life lessons & most importantly a powerful demonstration of an importance of a loving & close family that truly enjoys being with each other! America needs more families like this. It would solve many of America’s of social & cultural problems! Thank you all for allowing us the pleasure & honor to peek into your lives & loving relationships! Just so beautiful! 💖
I wish there was "Smello - Vision" because that Thanksgiving 🦃🍽️ meal looked absolutely amazing and delicious. Vanessa, Julian and Nonna you three did a great job with the Turkey dinner 🦃 👍🏼😊👍🏼❤️❤️❤️
Happy Thanksgiving! Oh Boy Vanessa you are a jack of all trades! Everything looks delicious! "Forget About It" I really Love watching you and your family. I also have an Italian Family, but everyone has gone to a better place. I Love when Nonna speaks Italian, I miss it so much! Sending Love from Florida!🦃
Love you guys! Only small way in but gotta chip in with some advice re onions. Think Gordon taught me this but makes it so much easier with no slipping as cutting. Keep that back end attached when cut in half and start by cutting towards the back end in say 4 layers then cut vertically across and then parallel to back end. You then have quick easy to chop finely diced onions.
I’ve been watching Vanessa for a long time. You are awesome with dogs ( and cats). I’ve tried a number of nonna’s recipes. And nonno is supremely talented. We do our turkeys similar here in the state. Love both channels. Lovely family. Happy Thanksgiving!!
I first want to say I love you all, even sensitive Julian... lol I'm trying your recipe this year, today for the first time. I will make sure to update with a picture and how it turned out. Thank you guys for everything.. I will also follow each of you in the future.and pass on this to my social media!! Thanks and have a amazing Thanksgiving!!
I find that potatoes taste better when you boil them and then add a bit of the salty water they were boiled in before mashing them. Stir them well, then add butter and herbs like thyme or mint to elevate the flavor to another level! I prepare the turkey similarly, with the main difference being that I place one large onion (cut in half), celery, an orange, a lemon, and some mint at the bottom of the casserole. For the butter under the skin, I don't melt it instead, I leave a cup of butter at room temperature so it softens, then mix in the herbs and insert it under the skin. Thank you for sharing your recipe! I'll try to add a few extra touches that I noticed!😊❤
Oh I LOVED this. This is one of my favourite videos of both channels. The food certainly looked delicious and I LOVE the banter between you all. It’s exactly like my family. Certainly is so much fun and full of love. Simply perfect. Happy Thanksgiving to you all. I’m definitely thankful that I found Vanessa’s first channel, Girl with the Dogs, then after awhile Vanessa started Girl with the Dogs 2, and finally the awesome wonderful channel, The Spicy Nonna and I watch each and every channel religiously, every single episode. Definitely my favourites that’s for sure. Awesome job guys. HAPPY THANKSGIVING again. Sending love, hugs blessings and thanks from Melbourne, Australia❤️❤️❤️
I’ve been subscribed to Girl With The Dogs (and 2) for a while and I separately found this channel through other nonnas making pasta videos. I had no idea they were all the same family!
Vanessa, I put my potatoes and a few cloves of garlic into the Instant Pot. When done add butter, milk or cream, cream cheese and salt and pepper. The garlic will get mashed up with the potatoes. I use a masher instead of the ricer. I’ve recently started using Yukon Gold potatoes. They are more creamy. Your TG dinner looked amazing!
Follow my sister guys 🙄😂 youtube.com/@girlwiththedogs?si=4SVH-mXdwRDYmjXI
That's not a phrase you hear every day. 😂
The reason for crying while cutting onions is due to the sulfur compounds in the onions
😂😂😂😂
Please have a cooking show with the 3 of you! This is so sweet and entertaining! I miss my grandma so much. My brother and I never had the chance to cook with her before she passed
I always let my turkey rest for thirty minutes before carving!
I agree with “Girl with the dogs”. I have been following her for over two years. It was because of her that I found her Nonna and Nonno’s TH-cam channel. I love this family so much especially Nonno who I considered a “walking encyclopedia”.😂😂
I love Julian!
I began following Vanessa after watching her interview with Nonna, Nonno, and Julian. She's a wonderful personality.
I had no idea, lovely to learn. What an incredibly talented family..
My gosh Vanessa takes after Nonna in looks but is bossier!!! I think Girl with the dogs needs to be re-christened Bossy or Boss Girl with the dogs. Nevertheless I genuinely love this family!! Vanessa will mellow with age. I do love her confidence and strength of character. She and the whole family make great role models for a loving and supportive family. They all put the c in connection!! And Vanessa, I think you are also a great role model as a hard working, young female business owner.
Same here!
Love the cutaway individual commentaries on each other lol. Love your family and thank you for sharing your traditions with us. Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
I loved the commentaries! This family needs a reality show ASAP. Seriously. It will be called “The Italians.”
The commentaries were the added spice 😂👍🏻😁

While Vanessa was drying the turkey, look at Nonna cleaning the sides of the tray and the table. Just shows how Nonna is! How nice!❤

Nona:”she (Vanessa) is bossy, she is (must be) my granddaughter!” 😊
She is the younger version of Nonna
Italian blood and temper will never change but deep down inside they are beautiful people!
This video is like a competition show to see who can be the spiciest. 😂 Everybody's busting each other's chops, even on a holiday.
Also known as a miserable viewing experience... ✅ This Granddaughter is too much negative energy. Zero sense of humor. Otherwise I love the channel.
I never watched girl with the dogs I found spicy nonna first!
I love how the whole time Julian was so confused and amazed at everything 😂
The food looked amazing! Good job, Vanessa!
I love this family! ❤
God bless you all!
I was the opposite. I discovered nonna from watching, girl with the dogs 😅.

That was a beautiful dinner! Vanessa did an amazing job and gave great tips. Lots of great herbs and butter. Happy Thanksgiving to your beautiful family!
Vanessa, I'm so impressed with you and your skills and knowledge with cooking! Happy turkey day!
Thank you for sharing your family and your very incredible meal preparation!! I loved the three of you in the kitchen!!❤❤
Omg, Julian, you really made me laugh when you were peeling the onion 😂😂😂 Love this family ❤
Thanks for sharing....love Nonna's original Italian cooking... please post more. ❤ From Barcelona 🇪🇦
Even Nonno’s clarity of speech, the words he choses to explain things to his grandson & his heart-warming accent brings such fond &
loving memories rushing back into my mind & heart.

Another wonderful cooking experience and lesson from a wonderful family🙏🏾😊
Happy Thanksgiving! Oh Boy Vanessa you are a jack of all trades! Everything looks delicious! "Forget About It"
I really Love watching you and your family. I also have an Italian Family, but everyone has gone to a better place.
I Love when Nonna speaks Italian, I miss it so much! Sending Love from Florida!🦃
This is very wholesome , I haven't had the opportunity to cook a turkey with my family this thanksgiving, I appreciate this very much !
Thank you 3000
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃Love this video, we need more cooking videos with Vanessa in them, she does a fabulous job explaining.
So lovely to see your wonderful family. It makes me miss my grandparents so much 🥹 Happy Thanksgiving!! 🍁 ❤
My brain just glitched from this crossover lololol
Looks like a wonderful meal. Great job Vanessa. Happy Thanksgiving all!
Love how Vanessa seasoned that turkey great job and it looks delicious!!
I’ve been watching Vanessa for a long time. You are awesome with dogs ( and cats). I’ve tried a number of nonna’s recipes. And nonno is supremely talented. We do our turkeys similar here in the state. Love both channels. Lovely family. Happy Thanksgiving!!

I first want to say I love you all, even sensitive Julian... lol
I'm trying your recipe this year, today for the first time. I will make sure to update with a picture and how it turned out.
Thank you guys for everything..
I will also follow each of you in the future.and pass on this to my social media!! Thanks and have a amazing Thanksgiving!!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Your dinner looks amazing. Great job.
What!! My mind is blown🤯! Your sister is Girl with dogs!" Wow..what an amazing family ❤😊
the stuffing is my favorite part of thanksgiving dinner. turkey is good but it's the stuffing a look forward to.
Thank you so much! It makes us happy to know you enjoy our videos! Happy Thanksgiving! ❤️
I’ve been subscribed to Girl With The Dogs (and 2) for a while and I separately found this channel through other nonnas making pasta videos. I had no idea they were all the same family!
Wow!! Awesome job Vanessa! Love watching you ALL! Wonderful family❤❤❤
I wish I had a Nonna like you do❤. I would've loved her to the moon and back. I just want to give Nonna a hug. Lots of love ❤
Happy Thanksgiving, Canadians, and great ideas for us to use next month in the US.
Happy Thanksgiving!! Beautiful job, Vanessa!!! 🙏🎉💜💜🦃💜💜🎉🙏
good food good family good times🌷brilliant video all the way around🌷the side commentaries are a delight🌷
Great job Vanessa! Everything looked amazing.😍😋
I love this video ❤ So great to see you guys cooking together. I am going to try to make my stuffing and turkey according to Vanessa's recipes!
Everything I'm sure was wonderful especially with all those fresh herbs, your turkey looked beautiful, Happy Thanksgiving to all!❤
Nonna's Kitchen.... What a great name for a franchise of Italian food ❤
I Love watching your video's, there's a lot of knowledge there. I just found you channel yesterday and can't stop watching.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Vanessa did a fantastic job with the turkey. Blessings to your family.
