John, having recovered a few underwater (although fresh water) vehicles, the areas I've had issue with (many of them covered by you) are engine, gearbox, and diff oils, water/mud/silt in the interior, rocker panels, and behind the door cards. As you mentioned, the multi layers in the body. We see crazy surface and frame rust from winter road salt, and the new enemy is a brine solution that is sprayed on the roads ahead of the snow. The problem with salt is that it dries onto the metal and reactivates corrosion if it gets wet from a rain storm. Newer cars seem to have more galvanized metal or are zinc dipped during assembly. Luckily many repair panels are available for popular cars.
He passed a few days ago. They did a write up in S2KI. Search “Modifry founder appreciation thread, in memory of Bob” if you care leave a comment. He’s been a staple in the S2000 world and was a great guy. He will be missed.
I’ve looked into replacing the Honda badge in the wheel but there’s no safe way to do it. It has more plastic pegs than you’d think, plastic welded to the black part of the airbag. Honda doesn’t want it becoming a projectile or anything snagging the airbag as it’s deployed. Perhaps someone could make a business out of refinishing them.
UK here too, I used MyUS. It took about 4 days from ordering to delivery to my door so really good service.A small premium to pay to have a slice of LHT in my garage 👍. Another option is John invites his Dad over and asks him to bring an extra, empty suitcase 😁.
Hi John. You mentioned this is a 2006 but dash is either 2008 or 2009 and wheels are also 2008 or 2009. Forgive me fir being so pedantic. Kind wishes Mark
Has to be a ProClip mount base at least, right? I have them in all my cars - Integra, Miata, CX5. With a magnetic mount in each, my phone is 100% solid at all times.
Easiest solution for the emblem, I used a liquid chrome paint marker from Amazon. Doesn’t look perfect but WAY better
Type r is definitely a great daily! And then some golden era Hondas needed in garage as well 😊
Yea. I agree. Not sure the FK8 and FL5 feel like a Type R to me.
I wish you guys were in Phx Az. Your knowledge and workmanship is hard to find.

Moment of silence for Modifry 😢

S2K is one of Honda’s best creations
You should make a Air to Water intake manifold similar to the JRSC, but for turbo cars.
We did make a few manifolds back in the day with 4 cores inside. It did make a very compact kit.
Hi guys, do you offer international shipping yet? Brit here, and I'd love a few of your tools and to support you too!
You can order our parts through myus.com

Definitely a 2008/9. He misspoke.
Yes. It was an 08. I don’t script anything so talking while filming I sometimes mis speak. The 08 harness is different from the 06.
10:40 - Nope. S2000 all day.
Yep ! I own both and fully agree
Speaking of jack stands, it's almost time to put my S up for the Winter. Do you recommend storing it up on jack stands?
Yes it’ll help your tires not get flat spots.

Please unplug the harness from the ecu. Wires can wick moisture into the plug of the ecu and cause more damage.
@@JarodRuff Yep. Already did and added dialectical grease to connectors
Glad to hear. Love your work.
Where was the rust. Underneath the car. The little rust i did see was surface rust. Here in Michigan we would've sent it the way it was lol
Poor car 😢
Livin' in Canada isn't so bad after all lol😅
LHT NEWS ! I like it 😁
Newer cares should have less wiring than older vehicles considering one of the selling points of CANBUS system is significantly reduced wiring.
He should rinse the bottom of the flood car with some salt-away. Salt likes to stick around
