I fell in love with this gal watching her rehearse Taratella at the Kennedy Center. Such a spit fire!! Megan you are the new face of NYCB, mom, soloist, partner, sister! Yeah You!!!
So informative, I had no idea what it's like for each of the ranks in the company. It's great that you take the time to explain the terminology. I love hearing/learning these terms. Megan please keep up the great work. Indiana, thank you for sharing with all of us.
Great interview! I love it when they talk about how to handle adversity. They both have such interesting perspectives, and keeping things in perspective is really great advice.
Another great one Megan🤗!! I didn’t know anything about Indiana, so this was a nice introduction, she is very unique, and I’ll be looking for her in performances now! Thank you again for doing this!!!💕
So nice to meet Indiana Woodward up close and personal. She is one of my favorites among the younger dancers and one of the reasons I was disappointed spring season was canceled was I hoped it would bring her elevation to principal. A couple years ago I caught a "Nutcracker" matinee at which she was making her debut as Dewdrop (my favorite role in that ballet) and she was terrific, as she is in just about everything she does.
Indiana Woodward's performances throughout NYCB's digital spring season have been awesome! Separately, it would be interesting to hear a conversation between Megan Fairchild and former NYCB principal dancer Robert Fairchild
Megan, you are the greatest interviewer. Also, Indiana gave such an amazing "Stars & Stripes" workshop on Monday. She's an excellent teacher. My favorite of the season. (Caveat: this is from a perennial and old beginner. Westside Ballet mom)
This was another amazing interview. The stories you share about being thrown into performances under such crazy circumstances are terrifying. It’s so amazing the performances look so flawless. We don’t know the insanity happening back stage😳. Also, I love your experiences of the struggles at the higher ranks. I loved hearing about Indiana’s global perspective. It is so valuable to informing our sense of appreciation for so many things. Megan, your authentic interest in others and learning are so evident in these interviews and truly admirable. You are giving people a treasure, which I hope benefits many❤️
My first intro to Indiana was watching Tarantella. Gorgeous! She is such a light✨ A wonderful interview. Thank you again Megan..we truly are getting to know so many artists on a more personal level beyond the stage. This has been incredible. We are fortunate to have you doing this!💖
I love how my friend and former colleague Marimba (Gold-Watts) keeps getting shout outs in these interviews! And they are great interviews, I'm enjoying them so much. 😊
Yay WSB shout out! I didn't know Indiana went to WSB early on. She once dropped into an adult rec class I was in while she was still at SAB (she must've been visiting family). I saw how special her dancing is and learned her name. I've been following her career ever since and been fortunate enough to see her dance when I've visited NYC. Remarkable young lady! I also want to let both of you know that I went to college specifically to do one thing and ended up changing careers half way, so not knowing what your studies will lead to is totally okay. You'll figure it out. ❤️
Hi from South Africa. I love all your interviews. Many things that I can relate to from personal experience. This interview was personally very special. When I discovered who Indiana's mother is, I immediately got in touch with her through FB. Mandy and I were apprentices together at PACT Ballet many, many, many years ago. I look forward to your next interview! Regards, Errol.
So good to hear from Indiana! I love her dancing (and her name tbh) I had NO idea that she was short, which as a short person is a compliment of the highest order! Thanks so much for the ace quarantine content Megan!🥰✨❤️🌈💓
Megan Fairchild maybe cloud and victory would make short girl club t shirts! And tall girl ones too! S/o to all the tall ballet dancers I love, we just have different struggles!
Fun piece of trivia! When a kid travels as an unaccompanied minor (post 9/11) the adults get special permission to come to the gate at take off and landing:)
Would love to hear you explore the pointe shoe thing - why is NYCB so big on Freeds? Are you required to wear them or just strongly encouraged to, how does that work, etc etc?
For those who are teaching or taking classes available to the general public, can you start posting the links to their classes (whatever platform it might be on) in the video description?
Not that unusual flying from the US to Europe as unaccompanied minors. Children who are raised like that become very flexible and mature. My children born in HK used to go back and forth to London or NY. LAter from LA to London. Unaccompanied. They grew up amazing. Travel is the best education there is!

Megan is the dance internet sensation!!
Every time I think “ that was the best interview she’s done”, you post another great interview.
What an enjoyable video. Thank you Megan & Indiana.
Wow Indiana is so beautiful ! I watched the Tarantella rehearsal on TH-cam and wanted to know more about her since then.
I love your interviews Megan! They are so authentic and bright and just heart warming!! Also Indiana’s smile is also contagious:-)

She seems so sweet, love the interview

Such a fun interview watching you catch up with Indiana! I learned so much about Indiana's background and the experiences that she brings as a dancer.

these chat series have become my most favorite thing to watch. Thanks Megan!!
Fun interview! I can't believe people being thrown into performances with such little notice and preparation. I'd just die!
It's time for Indiana to be promoted to Principal.
AAAAH! She's one of my faves!

Love ❤️! Thanks so much for doing these I love them
* also - at Westside we heard about Balanchine nonstop, since Yvonne and Pat were his ballerinas, and danced Balanchine ballets, too
also, Indiana is lovely!
Megan, Great interview as always. I felt as if I was a fly on the wall listening to two friends chat.
So excited to listen to this later today 😍🥳
Thank you so much for this!!! It’s so great!!!
I loved this interview - you are both fantastic dancers and the corp stories are fascinating!
I love how my friend and former colleague Marimba (Gold-Watts) keeps getting shout outs in these interviews! And they are great interviews, I'm enjoying them so much. 😊

Fantastic interview! Keep them coming please. :) Take care.
This is such a lovely interview! Indiana, I loved taking your ballet class on Monday. : )
Soooo understand the bath conversation!! Changes mood.

She's a Principal now! Yay!

Yay short people!!! :) I'm part of the club too. :)

That's great! I couldn't imagine it the other way!!!
Would love to hear you explore the pointe shoe thing - why is NYCB so big on Freeds? Are you required to wear them or just strongly encouraged to, how does that work, etc etc?
I saw apollo with taylor stanley and indiana in the digital season, and holly cow! What a show that one was. I can't wait til I can see it live
For those who are teaching or taking classes available to the general public, can you start posting the links to their classes (whatever platform it might be on) in the video description?
She's not a soloist anymore. Girl's a principle!
Wait, if you are a soloist or principal, you never will be cast in corps roles? or fill in for corps?
In a lot of companies you do. But i think NYCB is such a big company they dont often need too.
I loved this interview! what is with randomly saying the r word though...?
I really feel like an Indiana Odette/Odile could work.
