If we stay at Grand Cali, we grab an egg sandwich and coffee at Starbucks. If we stay at Park Place we eat for free. When you rope drop you just aren't wasting time filling your belly. Food can wait! 😂
@@FreshBakedDisneyI’m usually not one to turn down bacon/ham…but Disneyland AM is for cranking out those rides before everyone else shows up. Love the content as always, David. Looking forward to the Live tomorrow, as I always do. 👍🏻 👍🏻

That sandwich does look good. Am I the only one who liked it when it was “Taste Pilot’s Grill”….with those burgers and fries…and you could load on your own fixings? Remember when you could get breakfast at River Belle Terrace? Pretty standard fare; Eggs, bacon, maybe some kind of potato….Mickey pancakes…but it was good…and I’ve always contested that everything tastes better in the park!
@@FreshBakedDisney No worries, my friend. To each their own. I do agree it has a sort of 90’s vibe/color scheme to it. Maybe it’ll grow on me. I’ll wait to see what other merch comes down the line. Hard to beat Disney Christmas merch.
Shortly after DLR reopened and after we rope dropped rides (I hate rides on a full tummy - not to mention, they tend to work as well as a cup of coffee. Also can’t eat so early!) we bought a lox & bagel at the (then) takeout window at the Cali, then sat & ate outside at Smokejumpers well before they opened. A lovely tho VERY expensive breakfast. Happy to see they now have regular breakfast options in DCA! Probably an egg and something for me, that’ll do nicely. Looking forward to a nice rope drop day late breakfast.
The Pixar Hotel reminds me a bit of the Pixar HQ asethetic which had Steve Jobs fingerprints all over it. He had a minimalist mind set of so this looks to maybe an extension of that perhaps 🤷🏽♂️.
Please be patient with the Pixar Place Hotel renovations. I know it seems like it's taken forever, but speaking from experience, operating an open hotel during a renovation is complex and challenging. Don't judge them too harshly. I for one am loving the new theme. Clean, modern and not too gimicky and kitchy.
Wish we had more time for breakfast when we visit, but since we will just be there 3 days, we are going to try and squeeze in all the rides we can so not much time to do a sit down breakfast. We are just going to bring a breakfast bar with us. And yes, I would drink a mimosa for breakfast! Maybe on the 3rd day, I can get my son to slow down a little.
Love the 90's colors! Also, totally different subject, what's happening with Carthay Circle? I feel like we used to hear about the atmosphere and food all of the time, and now nothing. Did it go down hill? We used to love splurging there.
That chicken sandwich you mentioned!!! I ate it every day for dinner last week. It is my absolute favorite! Can you find out what is in that sauce and make a video??? I would love to recreate it at home!
Oooh, you missed the Cappuccino Cart - their breakfast burritos are my favorite in the park!! Definitely worth trying, tons of flavor and they are big!
It looks like the main audience for the Pixar Place Hotel are guests of the Anaheim convention center more than families going to the parks. Targeting businesses travelers will let them keep rates high.
Smokejumpers almost always hits it out of the park. Their ranch and bbq sauce that flows freely from the condiments barge is soooo good. Onion rings are better than the fries but I swear they used to have criss-cut fries instead of crinkle-cut. Halloween time is the best with their red pepper bbq double burger.
You are correct. I loved their waffle fries and was so disappointed to find them missing from SJG a few months back. I finally asked a CM about it on a slow day. She replied simply..."crinkle cut fries are cheaper"
My vacation budget rule is “if I’d be willing to spend half this amount on the same item at home, then I’m good with the price on vacation.” $4 bottle of water at Disneyland… no worries because I’d pay $2 at home without an issue.
My husband and I were there on Dec 7th. We laughed at the fact that the sandwich and burrito had the same thing on them . As far as I could tell only the green chilies on the sandwich was different than what was on the burrito . Not bad, not great, but decent food to get us through the morning 🤣 BTW, cars ride was down all 3 days we were in parks😕

opinions on breakfast at Disney ... if I am going to pay Disney prices, it has to be "special" like the breakfast ronto wrap, the breakfast chimi or even on a special occasion a character meal! We did goofy's kitchen breakfast while still in "covid" mode, so no characters and the food was OK, not worth the price. We've done Minnie's for my birthday one year and that was super fun, LOTS of characters and it was the buffet at Plaza Inn, so basic, eggs, sausage, bacon, Mickey Waffles, $46 so you are definitely there for the characters. We saw Winnie the Pooh and Friends, so Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet. Pluto, Goofy, Daisy, Chip and Dale. We did breakfast at Topolino's @ the Riviera in Orlando, this was super fun, the food was amazing, much more "gourmet" for $49 and you get Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy in their "artsy" costumes themed for the European style resort. Highly recommend. We will do dinner next time at Topolino's and we will try Steakhouse 71 (we did dinner there last time, delicious, recommend as well, so mad they aren't bringing Steakhouse 55 back, boo Disney!) for breakfast! We'll have to try SJ's next time, I wish they still did the half Monte Cristo, thats kinda breakfasty? ps. what are you using for your microphone, camera? We are trying to figure out how you are cancelling out so much sound and hearing your voice so well?? so tell! as always, love the video.

So, i do not even go over the San Franstokyo area any more..I walk with a cane and you take your life in your hands over there because it is always crowded...perhaps..since they do not seem to be using the tidal areas as designed perhaps they need to put some pylons out there and extend the warf out there for seating. They would be very desired tables and they really need the space badly. Do you think that is a decent idea? Thanks again Dave really apperciate you and your family
Curious why everyone automatically calls the 2024 merch "90s" or retro. Like couldn't it just be 2020s style? Everything doesn't have to be a throwback.
I mean... calling it 90s style because it is? It's so throwback because it looks just like stuff from the 90s. Sure we could have something fresh but what they're producing isn't a fresh style for 2020s. For me it's that particular combination of cyan blue and yellow, with magenta highlights, screams 1990s. bold primary red, yellow, black feels more 1980s and throwback 1950s/1960s... the repeated images in different colours is very 1990s too. Nostalgia is a massive seller!
@BellePullman even 80s style at the time drew from the 50s and 60s. I think alot of style nowadays may draw from the past is coming into its own as new 20s.
So many overweight Americans should skip breakfast, and practice intermittent fasting to DROP THE WEIGHT!! ……drink lots of water, and eat a banana around 3pm. (50 cents at the grocery. 🤔🙄).
$14 for a breakfast sandwich. Add a $4 water and we have $18. So breakfast for a family of 4, I’m paying $18x4=$72+$5.58 (7.75%sales tax) = $77.58. Try again DI$NEY
FreshBaked. David, You have foregotten, in 1972 Disneyland announced "Breakfast at Disneyland"served at these 4 restaurants. "Hills Bros. Coffee House and Garden," the "Carnation Ice Cream Parlour" ( my favorite), "Plaza Pavillion" and "Oscar Mayer River Belle Terrace." Anytime after 8 a.m. For a number of years in the early 70's Disneyland advertised this way to enjoy an uncrowded Disneyland and a leisurely breakfast. "Let Disneyland wake you up"! Cheers, Chris Perry.
