    I really enjoy finding a street food stop by accident, especially when it turns out to be amazing. Flag City is a small restaurant with tremendous flavour on the Beach in Negril. And it's rated the No.1 Restaurant in over 174 Restaurants in Negril on Trip Advisor. I've been over to booby which also was a great experience, but if your not into hopping on a boats or even if you are, flag city boasts many offerings for locals and tourists.
    P.S: I don't remember how much my meal cost, it was forgettable with how good and affordable it was but $25 USD should be able to cover my meal and drink, cheers.

    I'm taking a solo trip to Negril next month... How much (around about) would a taxi cost to go from a hotel near the bottom of 7 mile beach to Street Light Bar? GPS says it's 25 min away from the hotel.. Thanks for any info!

    • @SOAIVLOGS
      @SOAIVLOGS  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, honestly I haven’t taken a taxi in a long while but here is a rule of thumb. A bus from Kingston to Mobay is about $1500 Jmd ($10 US) which is a 3 hour ride. So a regular taxi shouldn’t cost more than that. I’d estimate the most $500 JMD ($3.3 USD). However if you’re taking a private charter. It will definitely be more. (Update) I called my friend who lives that end and he says is about $200 JMD ($1.33usd) in a regular taxi.

      JMD and USD I know for sure they will take, Canadian and British pounds is also recognized but I cant say for sure they will take it. I suggest having local currency (JMD) so you don't have to worry about the possible conversion amount hassle with vendor who might offer a lesser rate for your USD. If you are ok with doing so as a tip then no worries.
