I’d love that but I feel like in the age of political correctness it wouldn’t be as funny as it once was, just look at what happened when they brought back Match Game. Plus most celebrities alienated themselves so much that they wouldn’t be popular.
Brad Garrett sat in the upper-left during the 1/3/2000 new millenium episode (next to Catherine Bell & Tia Carrere) & with Ricki Lake guest starring (next to Danny Masterson & Robert Klein In 2001-2002 season, he was no longer assigned on the upper-left
Yeah the female contestant constantly picked Whoopi the whole time for some reason. They should really rotate the celebrities to make the game more fair.
Edison didn't invent the light bulb. Several people contributed to the invention of the light bulb including Thomas Edison. Maybe he's given credit in this country because he was american. But look it up. He actually did not invent the light bulb, on his own.
Sadly this show wouldn't work as well if at all in this time. People can't say things on Live TV like they used to. Also most game shows pretty much only do celebs with charity as the prize. Nothing wrong with Charity but there's hardly any non celebs as contestants now.

Oh he flew the kite with the key tied to it, but it wasn't struck by lightning. The key became electrically charged and issued a shock when touched; thus prompting him to experiment with metals during storms, which led to the lightning rod. He prob tried to create batteries charged by lightning as well but obviously that was unsuccessful
wish this show would come back on...
I'm never getting tired of this episode.
Me neither.
Such an entertaining show. Really needs a comeback.
I couldn't have said it any better myself.

BET is doing a spin-off called Celebrity Squares
Whose here after Hollywood squares was announced to be revived by CBS for primetime in 2024-25?
Ray missed the perfect chance to get a dig on Brad.
Tom: "Can gorillas swim?"
Ray: "Hold on, I'll check. Hey Brad! Can you swim?"
I remember this week of shows VERY well.
I had just finished off Roseanne season 9 on Peacock one week before Martin Mull had passed away. What a sad mess up it was!
Billyhess
Peter wasn't on this week in particular, but he did at least a couple other weeks of this version with Ray Romano and Doris Roberts.
I remember watching this episode when it was first uploaded!
I love this show back then when it air on KYW-TV from 1998-2004.
Good for Rosemary! She was a fantastic contestant.
I was at the taping of everyone loves Raymond cast for Hollywood squares while in LA years ago
and?
Every one of those 9 stars we all really know!
Anybody know where I can find the Hollywood Squares episodes with Piggy, Gonzo, Fozzie, Oscar, Kermit, and Elmo? I can't find them anywhere.
Oscar: th-cam.com/video/vwPzQKSvyak/w-d-xo.html
Elmo: th-cam.com/video/QAqoN69RPbc/w-d-xo.html
Kermit: th-cam.com/video/0uyptoZlvGg/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/JhMeyvHm-uw/w-d-xo.html
Rosemary from Baton Rouge, LA affiliate to Hollywood Squares NBC 33 (WVLA)
Jason from Chicago, IL affiliate to Hollywood Squares CBS 2 Chicago (WBBM)
Huge bonus round win!

the 1/3/2000 new millenium episode (next to Catherine Bell & Tia Carrere)

In 2001-2002 season, he was no longer assigned on the upper-left
His location usually depends anyways, as up until season 4 all of the stars (except Bruce Vilanch) were swapping places for all shows
What's the airdate.
I remember when this aired on WCBS in New York
Rosemary keeps that Bonus question, which was a multiple choice one.
1:52 Me when I was battling a friend in SSBU in a car and he stole my Joker skin from me, 2019
Panelists:
1. Ray Romano
2. Doris Roberts
3. Patricia Heaton
4. Brad Garrett
5. Keith Olbermann
6. Deborah Norville
7. Martin Mull
8. Caroline Rhea
9. Whoopi Goldberg
The first four were the main cast despite Peter Boyle was absent from this episode.
Awww no one ever asked Doris Roberts a question:(
Yeah, waste of her time :(
Game design.
It happens sometimes.
Yeah the female contestant constantly picked Whoopi the whole time for some reason. They should really rotate the celebrities to make the game more fair.
From what I heard, MTV2 tried reviving this format under "Hip Hop Squares", but I haven't seen any of the episodes produced.
I saw some of it. It sucked, IMHO
Weird seeing 90s sports guy Keith Olbermann with FOX of all places
He hosted Fox Sports News at the time
For that Bonus Round I would have picked 1 of the following 3 Squares.
1: Whoopi Goldberg
2: Patricia Heaton
3: Caroline Rhea
Well I would have picked Martin mull for the bonus round.
They're told to "fib" some of the answers even if they know it, right? I sure hope Patricia Heaton knew Edison invented the light bulb.
The incandescent bulb
Edison didn't invent the light bulb. Several people contributed to the invention of the light bulb including Thomas Edison. Maybe he's given credit in this country because he was american. But look it up. He actually did not invent the light bulb, on his own.
As a sailor for over 30 years, I got jipped!

The only thing that I wasn’t crazy about the show was towards the end when you had to win two out of three games to be champion.
Aw poor Ray. There really bashing him ha ha

I met Tiffany in 1999, when this show, was on CBS in Hollywood. KCBS more like it.
December 16, 1999.
I met Tiffany, when this show was still on.
I wonder why Peter Boyle wasn't on this show. The rest of the cast of "Everybody Loves Raymond" was.
Poor health issues.

fun fact: Ben Franklin never flew a kite, if he had and the lightning did strike him he would have died.

Kids, a long time ago Woopie was funny. Know she is full of hate
RIP Whoopi Goldberg.
Last I checked she wasn't dead???
But Gilbert Gottfried did
How does Rosemary have a 26-year-old kid? She looks 35!
Well, some women do age gracefully...;)
