How to find a forest or even a park everything day in a big city when you work 9 to 17 with 30 minutes to eat and have 2 hours of commuting ? Your advices are so good but not realistic for the majority of normal people working in a city. Also if we would have to do everything needed to get our 4 neurotransmitters happy… either we should stop working or we should have a 48 h day.
Please keep doing this. I am a person who falls out and in of procrastination and apathy, letting down my healthy lifestyle, and coming back to your videos now and then really helps me go back in track! Thank you, Ali!
I saw a comment or two about your content being “dead” so you’re getting less views but I think they only feel that way because maybe they don’t find as much value in your videos anymore because they either don’t care or they’re someone who is already very productive so they don’t see value in your videos anymore Of course, new content is always good but i wouldnt want you going into a rabbit hole for it right now, carefully think about it if anything and show us once u find something you like! But I’ve been watching you for like 2 years now and even in videos that overlap with your past ones i still gain new insights from your new ones and I really like what you said in one of your videos “as long as at least one person finds value” in your video, then it’s worth it I am not quite where I want to be in my life yet but Ali, your channel has been such a tremendous influence in my productivity so please keep it up!
I agree completly. Some points are better understund if the are said two or three times. Sometimes i do not get it in thte fist vid, but in the second. Oberlaping is not bad, just like Ali wrote in his newsletter. If you want to check it out, just search lifeNotes Ali Abdaal
It's all about our decisions and what we do. Discipline is about making decisions that are aligned with our intentions. Inspiration may get us started, but it's the habit that keeps us going. Habits stay with us even when we don’t have the inspiration. All of it I grabbed from the book Unveiling Your Hidden Potential
I’ve been watching you for 4 years, and I actually think you’re at your very best in terms of how you break down and explain things, plus the production value helps with that at times w images etc. As a busy doctor and part time entrepreneur I find incredible value in your stuff but also look up to you as someone I want to be more like.
This past year I have found that when I am in a very heightened negative state I take a few deep breaths and am able to reassess the situation in a rational manner. It has done wonders for my problem solving tactics. Life has been different since then, I have found peace in the chaos. Through breathing!!
Just went on a 6.5 km walk thinking it would be amazing if Ali shared something on habit building, especially around creating good habits-and bam, here it is! Perfect timing, Ali! ❤️
Awesome video! Please do a day in your life! I think it would really be helpful and relatable to people watching along with explanation and your thought process!
Don't listen to the comments! Most people are bored because ALL they do is try and watch EVERY video. This is still great for clarifying concepts and resurfacing the little things one can forget! Keep up the amazing work!
Ali, I am gonna be dead honest, I am inside for like 23hrs of my day. That too, the only reason I go out is to buy groceries and stuff. I have also noticed that I am starting to get minor myopia or nearsightedness because of this. I've got to improve and this video is a big help
Love that Ali is entering his crystal girlie era x But seriously really appreciate how you're using your scientific powers for good, feel like your videos recently have had a real focus on explaining and counteracting these modern phenomena (attention span being reduced, ultra processed foods) as I feel like so much has changed so quickly and it's so easy to let these things take over without them being pointed out to us or us even realising. So, thank you!
It has been a really hard week here in the states, so this video could not have come at a better time. Thanks for using your scientific background and excellent presentation skills to create this!
I have tried so many different routines but the best I have put together is- 1. 8 hours sleep 2. Gym, 3 days weightlifting, 3 days cardio 3. Before gym cold plunge, after gym sauna and steam room. 4. Acupuncture once a week 5. 5-10 km walk a day 6. Eat twice a day and fast 16-18 hours 7. Focus on mental and emotional wellbeing daily 8. Drink 3 liters of water and electrolytes a day
@magicismagic123 Yes I do but managed my time very well and prioritise sleep. I also work 12 hour shifts but I work for half a year and so much free time at work which they pay six figures for so I'm blessed. I know not many people can do the above due to commitments and the lack of time or money. But that's why I believe it's important to put yourself in a position of power to gain the money and freedom to do things.
@@1979France Thank you, but I'm no hero just someone who is trying to be a better human being and grow physically, mentally and emotionally but I appreciate you and the kind words.
Ali, I've been watching for years, subscribed for more than one (I think), but lately you're knocking it out of the park. Tremendous quality video after video
Very valuable, deepening and clear explanation of Tj Powers work! I watched the interview with TJ Power on deep dive twice. Your recap is amazing! Thank you for sharing all this free content!
You can not comprehend how happy it makes me that all this knowledge is becoming as mainstream and well known as it is. I've spent the past 5 years untangling my mental and physical health issues etc. and at a surface level everything related to regulating the nervous system has been the key to my improvement. 20 years of very misaligned, unnatural living with little sunlight / nature / movement (I was an avid gamer), processed food, too much solitude and so much more just messed me up and I'm definitely not alone in this. The concept of living as aligned as possible with our human nature I swear is the solution to most of the modern day's health issues. I find myself putting a lot of things in an evolutionary perspective to assess whether something is healthy for me or not. Most professional healthcare workers don't even know this information, speaking from personal experience from the Norwegian healthcare system which is supposed to be some of the best. Thanks for covering these topics Ali and helping spread this information to as many people as possible.
amazing series! these videos were so captivating and informative. for the first time in a long time , i was able to watch videos without reading the comments, or scrolling through the recommendations, and at 1x speed! thank you for making these (:
Just wanted to say, I have found so much value and benefit in this series. The episode on dopamine and this episode in serotonin is presented really clearly and in such a digestible straightforward way. And as a healthcare student, hearing "evidence based" just makes me listen harder for some reason! Learning about productivity techniques and methods that helps us live happier and more productive lives by actually understanding how our body works and what we should be doing to make it work in the most optimum way is so informative but also feels more adaptable as it encompasses different things in our lives, taking into account our sleep, physical activity, focus and work as well diet and nutrition.
Thanks for your videos, I have a kid, I am house CEO and also I have a 9h job, I struggle finding moments for myself to improve my skills, your videos help me a lot
Mentioning it again... Ali, please make a video on questions posted on r/smallbusiness they are exactly the question i come to watch on your page and would love to see them
Guys! This is a summary video! Please stop hating! Other TH-camrs do this, it’s shorter so you get a specific point from the interview in case the whole interview was too much information for us to capture it at once.
Yes! Maybe im just more sensitive, but bc of added stress and an unclean diet, I developed colitis and IBS. Ruined my life for 4 yrs. It’s only this past May (after seeing several Western medicine docs) that I decided to seek guidance from functional health experts and now I’m doing so much better. They taught me these same things! Take care of your health everyone ❤

You mentioned not needing to scroll Instagram or watch Netflix for two hours. What do you recommend after a hard day of work when your brain and body are just so tired you want to “zone out” but you can’t take a nap because it’ll ruin your night sleep.
I tend do meditate or do some light yoga. Dont know if that will work for you, but for me… it totally does. Sometimes I prefer an easy audio book - something you already know so your head can relax Night help too.
There still something I am looking for I think , I could not specify but hopefully I believe I can find that somewhere in your contents, maybe I already found it but just been overlooked. Nevertheless, I love all of it, it truly helps me to be a better person/man everyday towards being the the best and most productive version of myself. Thanks Ali.
Great video as always. Please make a video on the science behind binaural beats/music which can be used for study/migraine relief etc. Are they even useful?

What probiotics are good for this? There are so many varieties and brands, so many strains of microorganisms. I’m not sure which one I should be getting, they’re also so expensive.
