1989 Plymouth Grand Voyager LE acceleration (0-85mph)

- I've had a few request to do an acceleration run in my van. She is equipped with the 3.0 V6 putting out 142 horsepower/173 torque and is backed up by 4 speed automatic. I shut her down at 85mph. The thumping noise you hear in the video me driving over a bridge. Enjoy!

Props for actually starting at 0 and exceeding 60mph.
That gas gauge dropped 1/4 of a tank when all the fuel splashed backwards lol

One healthy Mitsubishi. I love that the gear indicator isn't broken, need to fix that on mine.
She does run good for being 30 years old. And you should fix your gear indicator. All it takes is removing the one lower panel and you can actually see the wire how it hooks up. If separated from the column, it is an easy fix. Readjusted mine after replacing the ac evaporator on the van since they usually are off.

Mitsubishi V6 I believe, good engine.
Not really they're pretty bad engines compared to the Chrysler 3.3 l
hi i now have a 1988 plymouth grand voyager it has a basic cluster and that thing can move! it’s a 3.0l also but has a 3 speed so it picks up well. if you can ever get your hands on a 3 speed you should put one in this van here. that’s if your 4 speed let’s go.
Why would u want the 3 speed? They beg for an extra gear at 60mph
@@Nightrider1450 oh god no they are heard so low they hardly need it. Definitely helps too being able to pass people being in a lower gear.

Did you get the overhead console working?
Ill do something in the following week or two. Still on the hunt for a working compass display. More likely I will just get a donor/totalled van for parts next year.

drove a 92 as a work vehicle for a while. It had good acceleration but is terrible on the curvy back roads.
