This video reminds me of the first assignment I had in my physics 115 class. The teacher told us to write a recipe for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. He says he’s only ever received one complete recipe in the entire 23 years he’s been a professor. After we turned in all of our recipes, he started reading the only correct recipe he’s ever gotten, “first you need to create the universe......”. It was a lesson on how to be as meticulous as possible when explaining your process. Still my favorite professor to this day. Edit: just to clarify, this assignment was for fun. Not for a grade. We were not set up to fail.
Master Thomas Not entirely, but included stuff like having a planet for hospitable life, evolving to species capable of processing the ingredients, waiting for fruits, lagoons and grains to evolve to a point where they could be turned into grape jelly peanut butter and bread. He didn’t go into too specific details, he just wanted to get the point across.

Christian Bacigaluppi no, you’re thinking the ratatouille he made. This guy is referring to the “special order” that makes linguini popular
SHE LIKES THE SOUP! 😉
So many people just glossing over the fact that the Instructions say do not add milk or butter... I made kraft Mac and cheese yesterday and the instructions definitely still say to add M&B so wth is going on here?
He followed the movie recipe
is the movie's recipe.....
Yea I always add milk and butter plus extra cheese lol
Just gonna say, I always make it without M&B as it's how I like it
"The only thing we can do to make this more gourmet..." is to collaborate with Claire Saffitz!
😮🙌
I would lose my fuckingg mind 🤯
@@Randomspamsy your profile picture looks like your reaction lol
frhgjhjjj idk if thats gonna happen there’s a little beef between bon appetite and babish due to a stolen employee 👀 maybe they’re over it tho?
Babish using a dehydrater: thinks of Brad Leone
Babish trying to make his own instant food: thinks of Claire Saffitz
Best Mashup!
"Until it is an fine powder."
Ahh, yes, this speaks to me and warms my heart.
7:22 underrated, extremely wholesome moment. "Did this episode go completely off the rails? Yes it did. But just LOOK at me. Look at how excited I am."
Babish: How extra do I want to be today?
Also Babish: Yes.
"Getting my own freeze dryer would be waaaaay to extra, but I'm Babish, so it will be here in two weeks." Lol.
"I Think, Don't quote me on that."
- Binging With Babish.
i love how babish knows he is over the top and will let nothing stop him from being over the top
“Very nearly worth the effort” should be the motto of this show... I love your work.
That stand mixer has more extensions than frickin’ Voltron. It’s only a matter of time before Babish _casually_ plugs in the Atom Splitting piece. 🤣
No one:
Babish: "What's the absolute most amount of work I can do to recreate the laziest version of the laziest meal in America?"
For those making these kinds of mac and cheese at home, even if it is blue box: Add some sliced ham to it. Prosciutto (italian ham) is even better. Great combination
Yknow, I reckon if you put ham in it, it’s almost like a British carbonara.
We usually add tuna
Hotdogs
Gris: It really say, “Don’t add milk or butter”?
*Yeah, tha day I stop doin’ that will be tha day I die*
The box says to add them. Babish was replicating the "recipe" as shown in the movie.
It's crazy how far Babish has gone, I mean something like Bounty has been around my whole life and they reach out to him!
@J G That's the point - Babish now has enough subscribers to have companies reach out. A couple years ago it wasn't happening.
"That would be crazy, right?"
*Proceeds to do crazy thing*
I love this guy, his voice sounds relatively monotone but his humor balances it out in a ironic-funny way. I subbed.
Vipey Boii welcome to the party friend
WELCOME!
"...revel in what you've come to call sustenance"
This low-key felt like a Gourmet Makes episode.
“It would be crazy to order one”
“Anyway it will be here in about 2 weeks”
Haha this sounds like my life 🤣
Ps I’m so broke 🤦♂️
Wildest_Wahoo I had to pause the video when I heard him say this so I could catch my breath. 🤣
Jordan Goatham 🤣🤣🤣
Babish' definition of crazy: something that should absolutely be done
He's basically going: I want to do this, I can do this, I am doing this. Aaand that's how we end up watch him make a delicious max and cheese with homemade cheese powder
To start, we're going to need to construct our own kitchen.
Bounty: I'm back
Babish: *makes a huge mess*
Canada - we have “kraft dinner” where we add milk and butter and it’s basically very similar lol
It's exactly the same only some people are monsters and don't bother with the milk or butter and this episode celebrates them.
@@teasugarsalt Yeah. This is horrifying. The terrorists won.
In China we have corona virus :-)
No, it's exact same thing. Normally you're supposed to put in milk and butter, the character didn't though
Kraftdinner hamburger and canned tomatos omg fucking delicious
can you try making some of the curry that is made in pokemon sword and shield?
Yes there's only a *few* recipes to pick from (151 in total...)
@@LizGridleyArtist ya i know there's 151 but since there's so much i just said he can try to make A FEW curries
@@SethColby69 sorry i meant it like "yes! Exactly im sure hed find a few he'd like to make - with that many to pick from :) "
No clue how he's gonna pull off the Gigantamix version but goddamn I want him to try.
I want the one with the eevee and pikachu giant curry. That is a challenge
Me: finally one I can do in my college dorm
Him: let’s get all these different cheese powders
$80 in cheese powders, don't forget the $200 mixer and the $400 blender.
I mean, you can always borrow your friends textbooks right?
Man really thought a cooking channel would make plain mac and cheese
I'm actually really tempted to get some of that cheese powder. Not a bunch of different ones, but maybe I could get one.
I hope you did spring for it to make your mac and cheese even better. I can confirm it changes the experience alot@@lisahenry20
*Gourmet Makes with Babish?*
The whole vibe of this episode including the dehydratior cameo has real Bon Appétit vibes!
Another crossover episode soon?
A translation for all the Canadians out there: He means Kraft Dinner
I knew that
? It's still Kraft in the us.
come on now translate it to european
Canada actually invented the electric yellow processed cheese
@@ReptilianLepton Ain't Kraft literally an American based company?
Can we just talk about how awesome it is that major brands like Bounty chose Babby to advertise their product? Love it! More brands=more money=more episodes.
yeah
I can imagine Babish in the theater, watching the movie and seeing a guy make instant Mac and cheese and thinking, “I have to try that for a video”
Babish: Today at the BA Test kitchen, we’re going to make g o u r m e t... kraft mac and cheese
Did I hear the word "freezedryer?"
Homemade MRE w h e n?????????????????????????????
Only if he gets it out onto a tray first.
MRE's are made with a freeze dryer, not a dehydrator
@@iivarimokelainen thats why Token wrote "freezedryer"

2:30 Babish: The best way to tell when water is boiling is to use a digital thermometer. Be very careful not to let the temperature of the water go higher than the boiling point.
I pity everyone in Colorado. "Babish, I've been boiling this water all day and it still isn't 212°!
I love this channel so much it’s so entertaining and I learn new stuff from almost every video
