Hey John. Thanks for the contest entry. You have been entered. When I was younger, I used to be a Winnipeg Jets fan. The Selanne days were amazing. I like your connection to Canada with the B-52's. Quirky but catchy band for sure. You could have also tied a band from Florida to Canada as well... what do you think your choice would have been with a Floridian band? Those Rolling Stones labels are super cool. You definitely need them framed. Lastly, many years ago, I had an opportunity to put an entry in to get April Wine tickets (mid to late 90s) on a radio station, but never called in. I would have given the tickets to my parents for a concert in Northwestern Ontario. They go under the radar here in Canada I think. Thanks for supporting my channel and completing the contest. Cheers, Darryl.
Trying to think of a Florida/Canada connection, all I can think is that a lot of metal bands from here in Tampa were popular in Canada, in particular, Nasty Savage had their first international show at World War III in Montreal back in 1985. I tried to get as much Can Con as I could for you! Happy to participate. Just posted my vinyl tag for 25!
You own 5 more Menudo albums than I do! I get the reissue/repress/rerelease problem, do we need them all? No but sometimes its hard to leave them on the rack in the store
I understand that, it's like fear of missing out. I can't leave a copy of Pet Sounds in the dollar bin, have to get it and gift it. Seems disrespectful!
“You don’t see a lot of that s*it in the VC do you?” Cool Winnipeg jersey! I remember Bad Brains from those days. A buddy of mine had that album. Hippie lettuce. 🥬 😊…I really enjoyed the reggae breakdown. Very cool. That early Curtis Mayfield collection is something I’d like. Fun state of Georgia connection to Canada. Do you ever go to any pre-season Jays games? Voivod! I will now revisit their stuff. Nature Of The Beast is a desert island classic for me. The Power Play tour right after was my very first concert in the very early 80s in Ottawa. I love The Rolling Stones too. I have a lot of their stuff, and do a deep dive once in a while listening. That Vince G record sounds like something I’d like. Menudo! Awesome. Great video John! ✌️
We actually covered that song on our last album, we did a medley of two Bad Brains songs. I do on occasion see the Jays, but most games are on weekdays. I support the Dunedin Blue Jays which is in their farm system, like two levels down. Congrats on the Bills win!
Z-Bear sounds like she has a cool vinyl show. Always great to see Bad Brains. I'm a big Stones fan myself. Good luck in the contest!
Hey John! Love the AW pick! That explains Menudo. Good luck!
Thanks. She did drag me to Ricky Martin 25 years ago. The things we do for love...
