There is this older guy at my gym. He mentioned to me his son was getting married this year. When I congratulated him, his response was nah it won’t last long. He’s a player and no one in his family ever stayed married. When I told him not to say those things over his son because words and thoughts are very powerful. He literally tells me “see that is why I never got married cause y’all women wanna always be in control” and I said, wait how is that? Because I suggested he pray over his son and not say those things about his marriage not lasting? How does that make me controlling? He couldn’t answer me. That happened a month ago. He used to come up to say hello to me and chat but now he’s completely avoids me. He’s in his 60s. Just made me sad that there are some people that think this way and the mere suggestion of positive thoughts and encouragement is a problem.

The one thing I have learnt to pray, "is Lord as I pray for my future husband as perfect as it is in my imagination, prepare me for the wife he is also praying for", most of us ladies pray a one sided prayer and when the prayer is answered we fumble because we don't know how to handle the blessings.

Actually I was terrified because he was so different. He was everything I asked God for & it scared me. Instead of running away, I checked myself, got my fears in order & let God move how I'd prayed to I'd asked Him to. This is the best, most peaceful, loving & open relationship I've ever been in. I love, love, love this episode!!! Transformation conversion should be a love language. I’ve spent countless hours learning about myself through transformation and I’ve only seen a handful of brothers that have done the work. We need more representation in this field and my hats off to you (Dr. Delatorro) for raising awareness in our community. Thank you 🙏🏽

I literally just went through everything this man is saying. He ex shut down on me and was emotionally unavailable. He did not end things correctly and did not say anything to my son who adored him. I finally thought this was man I was going to marry and I was so ready. But my God has other plans for me and now I’m ready to healing and to do it God’s way.

This episode is very necessary but I truly believe that what is also necessary is grace, mercy and compassion for those who come to understand that they need healing but aren't ready to face that and relive the trauma that they've experienced. It is very easy to say how someone should have handled a situation, which most time favors our personal needs, not thinking about what it would feel like to wear the torn up and broken down shoes of another, who's just come to the realization that their shoes are not fit to wear anymore. Prayer is the greatest gift we can gift others who aren't whole and healed. Everyone's healing journey is different but the thing that is necessary and the same among those who have chosen to heal, is merely that "the choice". Everyone has to arrive at the place of understanding that they aren't healed on their own and be willing to face that for that process to even begin. Let's stop making hasty, life altering decisions without having God in every single moment and be willing to go through a process in the timing that God sees fit. This young lady was slapped in the face with a cracked up and broken mirror, how would any of us feel after that?! It is a blessing that God carried you men through to your healing, and I pray He does the same for this young lady as well.

What a refreshing interview. Healed is absolutely the new sexy! I started on my healing journey 8 years ago after the end of an engagement- had a tower moment in my life. Everything that could possibly go wrong in my life, went wrong within the span of one ☝🏾 week. I lost everything- home, job, fiancé six weeks to the wedding, health insurance. Had to start over from scratch and rebuild. I felt that my life was trying to speak to me and that it was high time I started paying attention. I decided my next relationship would be different and I set about becoming everything I wanted in a mate. It’s been an incredibly beautiful and rewarding journey. Therapy has been the icing on the cake- been in therapy for 3 years now. One of the first questions I ask potential partners now is what self work have you done or are you doing to heal from your past traumas. Many guys I’ve dated haven’t been able to answer that question. So this man right here is a unicorn right here and I love that ❤️ So happy to know that men and women are collectively awakening and seeking better grounded, self aware and healed partners. And yes, my therapist is on speed dial 😂 she literally saved my life.

    S.W.O.T Analysis‼️
You cannot help someone by giving them more of what they don’t appreciate‼️
Literally EVERYTHING about the “Heal with Integrity” podcast was so on point that I believe I sent it to all of my iPhone contacts! 😂 Laterras, King, you continue to amaze me with your guests, the questions you ask, and the vulnerability you continue to show as a King. HOWEVER, 🗣️THIS episode totally blew my mind and knocked my socks off. There are so many gems in this episode that it can literally help the youngest boy or girl to the oldest Queen and King. I think I hit pause and play so many more times than I have on other episodes, taking so many notes that it has left me with a little knot on my finger. Dr. Delartorro you totally bought the 🔥and yes King 😉you have a new follower‼️ I know you advertised one book, but I believe this episode will be the basis of your next book. As I was taking notes, another book coming from you regarding the matters of your heart while protecting her’s is what I saw. As you continue to grow spiritually, personally, and professionally, I’m excited to see what & who God has next for you.

I need this whole episode. I have heal a lot after my break-up but they are speaking through a lot of how I felt, We were able to talk after the break-up through what broke it and through the pain and the hurt we both experience because of the heartbreak. We have pour a lot through 10 months of dating and I already knew where I was going to propose to her and knew which ring to buy and had asked God for the date to propose and when we broke up God console me by saying to me “I gave you the date not the year” and I realize she was the one and at the same time she was a lighthouse that shone God’s light for me to meet him. I now know what I want in a wife, I am a much better healthy person than I was before I did life with her, and I was able to meet God and be in a relationship with him. I know God has the best for me and for her and we were meant to be a positive relationship that pour on each other

I have always advised ppl to take time and dissect the failed relationship. We need to see what part we played in the demise. Even if we didn't cause it....our ignoring what is happening is our contribution. We need to make sure the wound has stabbed over before bringing someone new into your life and using them as aspirin for the ache. It isnt fair to anyone involved.

So good in a way that I am constantly sharing with the younger generation, beginning with my daughter and younger brother. I've heard that bad things can often happen to good people. I said that, to say this! There are some really good men and women out there that deserve to be loved the way they have learned to love! We all have flaws and we should learn that grace is received so that it can be given. I love you both for sharing your hearts and your truth.
