Yes please to more reviews of tracks such as Brands. There is so much old and new RF2 content available. Its hard to sort the wheat from the chaff. How many versions of Brands and Bathurst exist? Update info on new laser scan tracks will be most appreciated. Thanks Ermin. Great video. Bridgehampton in '60s open wheelers is fully sick BTW!
Please do some videos with stock cars on road courses. After watching the Xfinity and Cup cars on the Daytona road course this weekend, I would love to see some road course videos.

I love this track.
It's one of the greatest tracks. Some tracks are pretty bad, you drive them because you have to. This one you want to drive.
I’ve had the pleasure of watching races on this track in real life many many years ago. Truly an under appreciated track. I still live about 25 minutes from the track and have “gained access” to what’s left of the track. Amazing.
@@bobbymccourt6794 I live close to Zandvoort and Bridgehampton is like the bigger brother of the current Zandvoort. I race on Bridgehampton virtually at least once every month. It's just special with all the bumps, like you said, underappreciated.
I tried the new stock cars thanks for this video I hadn't enjoyed a good stock car race since the papyrus games! I really enjoy wrestling them around Sonoma I'm pretty good at that over the ovals
Wow these cars really have helped me with Bathurst I can now enjoy it because it feels so real. I am not skilled as a driver, but now I can enjoy driving so much more. Don't get me wrong I love the GT3 cars etc too, but Bathurst has always just been too hard for me. The thing I like about these cars and Rfactor 2 cars in general they still behave like real cars offline and off track. Some sim when you go off track the cars while your trying your best to recover seemingly with just the lightest throttle spin, and spin unlike a real car would. The Rfactor 2 cars behave like I would expect a real car to behave on track and off track. Its great I tried these years ago and they really sucked balls! Now they are wonderful on road courses too. Enjoy them and than you Rfactor 2 team so much.
NASCAR just raced at the Daytona Road Course last weekend. These cars are fun to drive on that track.
I didn't watch the video yet but it's pretty funny looking at the title after watching Billy Strange's video.
Edit: It has been changed. Previously it was something like the best stock car racing experience in sim racing.
The fact you pay any attention to what Billy says is the only funny thing
I was prob going to buy the Gt Track rig how is it holding up to the dd1 and pedals?
I've been playing iracing before getting into this I got a A in oval within 2 months like 30 races and road have 19 in b class the difference in the feeling of the cars tires and all that is Insanely better and physics drastic change from my iracing it seems like you lose control so easy in iracing more than any other sim I have played not sure why but I definitely think rf2 is one of the best sim you can play i only got the game like a week ago if that and really enjoy the workshop and laser scanned tracks and they always keep updating and no sub cost its worth the cost of the game and the add on are worth the month good job on all the videos I really have been enjoying them 🏁🏁🏁

I've tried the road course but those Nascars are really hard to drive. Tiptoeing all the time. Any tips for setups? Keep spinning. Spend a lot of time on rf2 lately. It finally works on my pc.
To download the oval tracks, is it by steam? Are there more than 15 oval tracks?

Daytona just announced today. Look forward to trying these cars out as just purchased Rfactor and still finding the best cars.
I don't know if you look at old video comments but I heard you multiple times talk about heel and toeing, fun fact nascars do not use their clutch when shifting just use it from a stop.

I'm sorry you have instability with the game. I almost never have any problems with the stability of the game. I don't ever do multiplayer so I can't comment on that. I hope you get your stability problems fixed. rFactor 2 does have the best physics and ai in the sim world, at least in my opinion.

Nice car and definitely more my taste than this boring GT3/GTE-cars, but with my 6 DoF-setup AMS2 feels quite a bit better from the seat of pants effects plus proper clutch-implementation and more content that I prefer. And in October Reiza announced the Nürburgring incl. Nordschleife with proper TimeTrial:)

You might have noticed that all of the turns on oval tracks, which are like 95% of NASCAR races, are to the left. In that case, wouldn’t it make sense for the car setup to be heavily biased to the left?
It is when on ovals. Did you not look in the garage and see this ?
You should do setups for the stockcar mod.
Basically anything goes in oval racing except for intentional wipe outs, corner cutting and going below the apron on the front straight for most tracks

That does happen and trying to fix it.
A lot of things are kosher in nascar....the sport originated on short tracks (ovals under 1 mile in length) and there's tons of beating and banging...the body design is much more forgiving in terms of light contact. I'd recommend looking for a video of Bristol or Martinsville

All the Oval Course Cars turn to the left because all the tires are angled to the left. And the left side tires are smaller than the right side tires.
And the biggest thing is there's more left side weight.

So I heard this is the same team that is working on the official nascar21 game . Can anyone confirm . And if so , should I expect something along these lines? Us on console are struggling when it comes to oval racing

@@donald2490 well I'm not trying to be overly negative but I don't understand it either. They literally bought rFactor2 (a proper sim) and the studio to make this game. I was suspicious it would be a bit on the arcade side but it even fails at that. I have no idea why Ignition is the way it is when they have an actual racing sim studio to help them
If you could give us some links to the laser scanned tracks you have mentioned it would be great. Love Hungaroring and Brands Hatch, have been looking for laser scanned versions for a while now.

Would be great if it functioned. Damn AI hits the wall after every turn exit at Indianapolis🤬 Even at 120% difficulty level, still 5 seconds ahead; as the AI hits the bloody wall in every turn. Any suggestions anyone🤷🏼♂️ Thanks.
Lmao u drove the right front off of it. Drive in easy get to the bottom roll the center b4 you get back to the throttle. You got it there at the end. And yes you got it correct you trail break down into the corner.

Cars are great!!! Game is bugged uped the wazzu and you can't run a race!! Check out BILLY Strange review
They are currently working on stock car plugin (release at the next build it seems), the FCY is something that is on their to do list, some AI improvements will come after the competition system (from December), the AIW will gradually to be worked on, etcetera.
And above all, as usual, the physics are exceptional.
Better than other sims.
But you had to criticize, rF2 bashing is now a recognized sport.
Sorry, I really don't want to bash it... But how many years of sub par promises???

In fact I agree that rF2 has a LOT of flaws and that S397 is not really up to it.
But on these aspects which follow, objectively rF2 is the best :
Physics engine, 40 ultra realistic S397 cars which exploit perfectly the physics engine, fabulous FFB (derives from the physics engine), very many tracks of average to extremely high quality.
On these aspects, rF2 is just the best.
And what we are looking for in a sim is realism, isn't it?
@@gabrieledimatteo4888 actually I respect Billy a lot but in this case it looks like he made some mistakes setting up these stock cars before reviewing them. I already reached out to him about this.
rFactor has better tires, but iRacing NASCAR is more fun.

A big update to this mod is coming out soon.
The new version of SC2018 and SC2018x is now released. Big improvement in tires, physics, and aerodynamics. Would really like to see a new review. This new release is a lot more than an update. It's a whole new version of the SC2018 cars.
