Today wasn't the best, but as I sit here writing this, the day comes to an end. I just sat alone for a while, trying to get my mind off of what was happening. Nothing worked. I tried practically everything, but to no avail. Then this came up in my recommendations. I listened, and I just cried. And cried. And cried more. Something about the comforting voice, the lyrics, this song in general, it managed to get me to just let it all out. I felt better. Not much, just enough that I could face my problems. I still had like two more miniature panic attacks, but I survived. I know I sound pathetic. I do. Even I'll admit that. But this helped me, even if it wasn't much. So hey, if the person who sang and played this ends up reading this comment, (which you probably won't, but hey.) I just wanted to say thank you. You helped me through a very low point today. And now? It's time I stopped trying to run from the problem I had.

I don't know if it was just because I was so terrified and stressed that night, but sometimes, if things involving what was going on are brought up, or I think about it too much, I'll get this instant fight or flight response. I don't know if it's some form of PTSD, or my anxiety disorder just trying to break me, but whatever it is, it's awful. I just wish I didn't have to deal with it.

I just finished Evangelion when you made this! I'd never felt so simultaneously amazed and frustrated by any show before. Amazed at the lore, the animation, etc., but frustrated by how little everyone seems to care for each other. That's why Kaworu 4 life! They made a mini Tamagotchi for Evangelion, it's called Evagatchi, and they have different ones for each character, and I got the Kaworu one! :]

I first watched Neon Genesis Evangelion when I was in 4th or 5th grade. My oldest brother who introduced me to anime, had the entire DVD box set (including DVDs of Death and Rebirth and End of Evangelion). It completely shaped my childhood. My parents used to run a sci-fi/fantasy publishing business, which meant I would go with them on road trips to conventions where we would sell the books. At one convention, I found a soundtrack for NGE that I absolutely had to buy. Kom Susser Tod has always been one of my favorite songs. I distinctly remember listening to it in my red Sony Walkman disc player on an evening car ride home. NGE is still a part of my life in small ways. Your cover (and this video) is flawless… keep singing and playing. Thank you for the trip down memory lane.
