- Daniel and Houston Arms came down to Arkansas to do some fishing with us this week, so we decided to team up with the Trout Magnet team to hit the river for some feisty Arkansas rainbows and browns. We caught a ton of fish and Daniel was able to catch his biggest one ever! Follow along to see all of the insane fishing action! Am behind on watching TH-cam videos. Dad was hospitalized in early March, then admitted into in-home hospice in mid-March. He died April 12 at age 82, so my siblings and I have had our hands full. He lived a full life, and he and Mom, who died five years ago, raised six of us.
Regardless, my schedule is getting back to normal again, and I am trying to stay on top of my nature photos AND trying to catch up on my favorite TH-cam channels, and of course yours is one I enjoy a lot.
Congratulations on the newest addition to your growing family. Praying God's very best for the both of you and your beautiful children!

The trout fishing was very good but of course the star of the show is Cy. He knows what he likes to eat and what he doesn’t - tomato and ketchup is not one of them. Summer is so adorable and Jay looks like a very happy momma. I enjoyed the entire video. Thanks Cole.

cy is like i was when i was growing up. i liked ketchup on about everything. i still put it on lot of things that grown-ups think is weird, like eggs and bisquits, and i'm now 70. would love to have a plate of that trout right now, it looks tasty.

I buy crappie magnets and trout magnets already, but now i know the guy i am supporting when i buy them and am happy to do that. And we got to see Jay and the babies too. What a blessing video.

They do love it, but it is a headache to keep rigged up on the hook. Trout magnet catches as many/ more and you don’t have to worry about corn juice and baiting your hook after every fish catch haha

Not much of a difference. We usually release all of the brown trout we catch though

Why do you throw the biggest back, and keep the smallest. Why do the browns all go back?
Because of the regulations. Smaller trout taste better
@COLE_and_JAY hey Cole, what set up are you using? I am thinking about getting the GS10M with a 100 size Lews Wally Marshall speed shooter. But I really like how versatile your set up seems to be.
I’m using the ACC 8ft super grip with a 1000 daiwa regal. It is very versatile. I use it fishing for trout like this and also for a variety of crappie fishing applications. Double jigs, minnows, slip corks, wade fishing etc! Hard to go wrong with it!
Cole what kind of gopro would you recommend?
GoPro hero 8 black and above!
I also use the DJI Osmo action 3 quite a bit. It’s not a terrible camera

8-10lb braid to 4lb fluoro. If they’re being extra finicky I go to 2lb but that’s very rare
