Good to see frequent improvements, a long way to go to be the game we need. Rugby Challenge 4 is the minimum benchmark in my opinion and you’d hope it’s a lot better than that. Online gameplay in RC4 was basically non functioning.
Really enjoying the videos! Finding myself checking for new content several times a week and can’t wait for a console release now. Gone from zero expectations to actually really optimistic that we’re going to end up with a really decent game in the coming months. I know a few passes and offloads were poor, but ignoring the odd random issue, I felt that the passing and offloads in general were actually not too bad in this game. There was a few offloads that just went to ground - but in their defence, I felt most of those were unrealistic attempts where there wasn’t a supporting player on their shoulder and the player had virtually zero time on the ball before getting tackled. I like simulation rather than arcade play and so I would expect offloads to be a lot more 50-50 where you can’t just spam it and have to pick and choose when to offload, else risk the knock ons/passes not going to hand. So hopefully they continue to tweak and improve this, but I think they are on the right tracks. For me the biggest bugbear watching these videos is more the player positioning and depth etc. It feels like it’s always the same players in certain (wrong) positions I.e. props and locks are always the players making the breaks on the outside. I’m not sure how to fix this as wouldn’t want rucks taking forever with backs staying out and waiting for forwards to arrive etc. But would be good if they could perhaps shuffle back in to position or something in open play. Cheers for the time and effort you put in to these videos though. Class 👏🏼
they should also add like a side broadcast angle where it kind of from behind the players so you can see a wide angle of all the players in the frame..
the goal kicking arrow should be like Jonah lomu rugby with just an arrow and a wind indication so you can judge the angles. The way it is literally shows the pathway of the ball to the goal post. if you could pass this on..
Very good response from Big Ant to fix the crashing bug when passing. It's nice to see that offloads are working better now, but there are still issues with passing and I agree the positioning of the players seem to be too deep and distant. So until the next patch we will have a more stable build to play and test the game. Thanks again Mad Dragon for the quick update on how the game plays after the hotfix patch.
i was wondering why were there no importance given to a human player speed .. trying also to mimic body momentum, acceleration.. like the overall realistic motion of the body.. at least in terms of the players movement, rather than in the animation. I think this could be key even for the smoother gameplay, ability to think what to do because it would be slower.. and even time for algorithms to work properly and making players correct their trayectories in offence and defense. Then you could also play with the spaces being produced. It should flow more towards the exploiting of the spaces and the offside line having the defense going backwards once meters were made
It’s now made the Player Creator Crash if you go into “Player Appearances” for Creating and Editing. UPDATE- Big Ant Developers have just confirmed a Player Creator Bug Fix has been put through to come out soon. UPDATE - Patch deployed and has fixed the issue.
Love the videos when you where close to the line shouldve ran the half back into the corner so many chances. Is those bad passes where its lost is that a knock on from big hits
@arc_aniken7029 it feels bizarre to me that they will release this super in-depth and advanced creation suite before implementing such a basic and important part of rugby.
Yeah new hotfix that came out today, improving stability and stopping crashes everyone was experienceing from EA3 launch, havnt had a single crash yet so seems to be working well.

Great quick response from Big Ant, exactly what you want to see. Every update looks better and better. Really eager to play it

Passing looks very clunky, particularly on side view and getting through gaps by running diagonally then straitening is a bit cheese
Keep posting rugby 25 you keep me updated
I think a great idea would be live simulations( cpu vs cpu) could make tournaments more exciting as you could watch the games you aren’t playing in.
You can select neither side when setting up a game and can watch a CPU vs CPU match 😊
@@ON-zm5xj thanks for telling me that’s awesome😁

Noticed there’s a bug where if you only add one player to the ruck you will always win the ruck as well
feel like at 6:08 they need to sort out AI supporting once you break line. look at 13 and 10 just chillin lmao

The support runners to the ball carrier needs working. They dont run the lines and still a bit too deep..
Bought it. The game would crash straight after kickoff every time I tried to start a game. Tried it 6 times. Refunded.
The passes seem to go too deep, rather than flatter where the player can run into the ball. Might be a positioning issue?
When do you think rules etc will be put in the game because they need to implement the rules to make it more realistic to play 🤷?
Why can't we add stepping into the game? Stepping is such a massive part of the sport
They fixed the bullet passes but yeah the short passes are really bad
Are offsides or any penalties at all in the game yet?
No

@@StarLeo_ agreed 100% I have a list of problems with this game that should have been released long ago or fixed but hasn’t
Spoiler alert:
And they'll be dancing on the streets of Salt Lake City tonight!
Réponds-moi vite il y a une nouvelle mise à jour ou quoi

@@MaDDragonRugby ok merci
I'll don't buy this game until i'll see penalties, handling errors and drop goals
If anyone has played rugby league live 4 that came out 7 years ago you’ll see the same animations in this game as well
Big Ant are a disgrace
they’re placeholder animations bruh
@MetamorphicMindset did they confirm that?
@@StarLeo_ They did previously. I’m assuming they keep adding more and more new animations to the game
@@MetamorphicMindset one thing you’ll learn about big ant “bruh” is they lie A LOT
I have played a lot of Rugby League Live 4 and my problem with Rugby 25 is the animations look almost identical to Rugby League Live 4
