Had to put down my dog and afterwards me and my mom went back to the house. It was so quiet. But then we hear a whimper that was definitely our dogs whimper. We both heard it. We both started crying and saying out loud we love you, and gave a last goodbye in spirit. 🖤 I will never forget that.
I also looked it up and it's a common phenomenon after pets pass.
Same thing happened to me! After coming back to the house my dad and I both heard my dog bark!
I know when the first halloween day (31st October) after my "Kitty" (The one in my picture) passed from a seizure my other cat scratched and meowed at my door, the thing is she never does that but "Kitty" always did. The pair didn't have a good relationship, but Janey was different ater Kitty's passing and it was as though Janey gave Kitty permission to use her body to say goodbye to me.

When animals stare, I pay close attention.
I'll never forget when we had to put down our dog, we did it at home. The vet was very sweet and so compassionate. When we took our dog and walked her body to be transported for cremation, my neighbors dogs followed me to her car with me holding my dog, they never walked up to me before.The vet told me, dogs know when a dog has passed. It felt like they were showing respect, it was a beautiful and sad experience. RIP Sweetie❤
My dad passed away at home, alone with only his cat and two dogs. For 2 weeks, his cat would walk around the part of the floor he fell on, wouldn't touch it. At 2 weeks, she was suddenly happy again and walking over that portion of the floor. My sister thinks it's cuz my dad's spirit had moved on, and his kitteh knew it. Food for thought!
Cats have extremely sensitive noses. Maybe after 2 weeks the smell went away. When you die. The Bible tells us that you are instantly standing in front of our Lord for judgment. And then it's on to either have in her hell. There is no purgatory on earth. Any ghosts you see is a familiar demon.
After my cat Booboo passed, I would see him out of the corner of my eye and when I’d turn my head to look there was nothing there. The really strange thing about this is we had 9 cats at the time that were still alive and they’d all be staring at that same spot where I had just seen my best buddy. After a month or so I stopped seeing him, but every single time I did, the other cats were all just as confused as me and looking directly at the empty spot where I had just seen him. Did they see him, too? 100% I believe he was hanging around still trying to comfort me. He died two months after my uncle had died and my mom was in the hospital dying. My mom died shortly after Booboo. He just wanted to make sure I was going to be okay. He will forever be loved.
The cat was like "where are you going friend? I'm coming with you"
My cat would occasionally would do this, and there was never any light, bug, dirt, mouse to be found. This is while we lived in a 200 year old house that had been in the family for a few generations. My dog would occasionally freeze up, then start barking at something in the top corner of my room, occasionally picking up a toy along the way. The thing stored in that corner was an heirloom left to me by my great grandparents who had recently passed. Once we were staying in a hotel room that suddenly went freezing (the heater was on and working still), and a super strong smell filled it. At the same time my dog jumped up and stood in front of me, between me and a bare wall. He stared unflinchingly at the middle of the bare wall, with his hackles raised and started growling very softly. When I moved he repositioned himself in between me and the wall. I should mention that my dog is a task trained service dog, and he has amazing behavior at hotels: part of that behavior is remaining completely silent the whole stay- this was very unusual behavior.
We immediately asked to change rooms and he went immediately back to normal. Never questioned if they could see spirits since these events.

When my mom passed my cat starts looking at the hallway as though she was looking at something. Then all of the sudden her fur just fluffed up and she hissed in the direction she was looking in and nothing was there. So I believe that cats can see spirits.

I lost my cat a few weeks ago and had the most real dream. My apartment was lit up and sparkly and I just see my cat romping around like he used to when he was feeling like himself. When he sat on my lap and i pet him, I could physically feel his fur and his weight. It was surreal and amazing to know that he’s still around. Even if I can’t see him, he’s here with me, and he always will be
They can see the spectrums that all the ghost hunting shows try to detect. There are others but I do remember cats, dogs and reindeer. Trust your animals and aberrations in their behavior. They know more than we generally give them credit for
I lost 3 cats in 1-1/2 years. Two were true lap cats. Stuck to me like glue. I only have one non lap cat now.
After their passing, I swear I could feel them on my bed coming to get comfy by Mommy.
I'd look to see if it was my present cat...she was nowhere to be found. Up until now, I honestly thought my mind was playing tricks on me. 🐱🙏🌈
I had a cat who always slept beside me in the bed and I would often touch/pet her for comfort as she would always start to purr. After she died, I was half asleep and I woke up when I realized that I not only felt her beside me but I swear I felt her fur in my hand. When I was fully awake, I was alone in my bed. This has happened a few times over the years since then. Especially if I am feeling sad, one or more of my deceased cats will come to comfort me. Either in my dreams or I will feel them beside me snuggled up close. I can’t wait to see all of them again when I die.

My kitty has been dead for about 3 yrs. I still feel her jump on the bed and make biscuits. I'm not crazy , jo6t even close. Just in love with my little girl kitty who I'll never forget and will never stop loving. Evidently she hasnt forgotten me either. She's still helping me get thru my grieving. It seems to be never ending. But thats ok... She's still my bestfriend.

Here's one for you, please bare with me.....We had 3 cats. Callie our calico passed away 3 months ago. She had 2 favorite toys. One was a red fuzzy ball, the other was a little mouse. The mouse was her absolute favorite, and she would hide it so our 2 males wouldn't take it from her. We had her cremated, and I wanted to put the mouse in the box with her ashes.
The day after she passed, I tore the house apart looking for that mouse to no avail. Now going back to the 2 males.....neither one ever took an interest in that red fuzzy ball. Callie was the only one that would drag it out of the toybox and play with it. But after she left us, that ball was out in the middle of a room, in the hallway, or down in our recroom almost every morning when the Wife and I got up. This went on for 2 months. Then one day my Wife found Callie's mouse in one of her flower pots. We immediately opened Callie's box and put the mouse in with her. After that day, and once she had her mouse, that red fuzzy ball was never out again!!
So why is that?
Was she "visiting" during the night, and playing with her ball?
That is so sad, but yet also reassuring. I’m sorry for your loss. But I guess Callie is not that far away ;)

Another thing I've heard of, is that pets will leave us "gifts" telling us that they are fine. One being a feather. For a while, my Wife and I were constantly finding feathers, both in and outside of the house. I can understand finding them outside,.....but inside? We have no pet birds, and the 2 boys are strictly indoor cats! Kinda weird.....

The way i told my cat that his younger sister died... was by singing "her song" to him... after he had been crying for her and i had been trying to explain it to him... and im 100% sure he understood
I absolutely believe that pets, especially cats 🐈⬛ and dogs 🐕 see the spiritual realm. When I put my 16 year old Pekingese down I went home to my Jack Russell terrier. When my aunts and me came home after the euthanasia my Jack Russell started growling at the direction of the kitchen and stared up high. We all knew it was my Pekingese. When my Jack Russell passed I was devastated. I remember getting in bed sobbing 😢and feeling him nudge my hand until I lifted my blanket like I used to do when he was alive. He jumped in bed with me and curled up with me until I fell asleep. I literally felt his cold wet nose when he nudged me! I’ve seen animal spirits as well as human ones. I totally believe.

After my beautiful 9 month old furbaby passed away ,one night l felt him jump onto my bed and snuggle into the side of my leg,l even reached out to stroke him then realised he wasn't there 😞
The only thing that makes me not believe that is, why haven't we ever picked up on it?
We can build devices that see inside of atoms, yet somehow, that's not possible.
And not for lack of trying, either.
Plenty of people have tried to build devices that let us see spirits, but so far the only thing they've been able to let us see is electrical problems and leaking air.
I’m still waiting for my fur baby to come back to visit me, it’s been over 12 months now and I sob all the time for her. She used to sleep with me. I took her to the vet and she died in their care and I feel guilty that she thinks I took her there to get rid of her. It kills me on the inside to think this but why isn’t she coming back to me. I love her more than anything 😔

My cat Henrietta contracted bobcat fever and was very ill.The vet gave her a blood transfusion but it didn’t help and when I picked her up they said to bring her back in the morning for more accurate blood work (she was very anemic) IF she lived through the night. Well, she was lying quietly in her carrier on the way home when she suddenly jerked upright, ears back and fangs showing, and glared at…something…while giving a combination yowl/hiss, and then she fell over dead. I’m convinced she saw Death coming for her.
I had one of my babies fight something before dying, too. First time I'd ever seen one do that, kinda unnerving. I now think he just might not have been ready to go.
I live with a ghost cat/spirit it jumps on the bed and I can feel it walk across me and all foot steps,I thought it was my cat,it wasn't.its happened at least a dozen times.👍🏼

I've felt that exact sensation, more times than I can count -- crossing the bed, walking on me. So has my SO. He assumes it was our cat, but simultaneously I've watched our cat being elsewhere in the room, and unmoving the whole time. It never feels creepy or disturbing. Maybe it's one of our previous beloved cats, paying us a visit.
Make sure you don’t have low levels of carbon monoxide in your home(lower than a typical detector alarms for), it can cause weird hallucinatory sensations. Just in case.
This used to happen to me
Hi. This is Erin. It happened to me a few minutes ago. I was completely awake. I felt the cat jump on the corner of the bed and jump off. I asked my husband where the cat was, and she was with him. I have had that happen to me and my skeptic parents did too growing up in a different house. Last year my Dad and good friend died. I was upset yesterday. It freaked me out for sure this morning when I felt that. Maybe it was one of my deceased cats saying hello. In our condo where we live, we have seen a ghost like cat, even my Dad saw it several years ago. Very strange.
After I put my cat down, I would see her sitting in the hallway the way she always used to when she was alive. That went on for a few months. That was 16 years ago and I still miss her like it was yesterday. RIP my sweet Sacha Girl. Mama will always love you🥺.

Magical pets
My cat was 18 when she passed away in her bed. I heard meows and saw her shadow figure run across the floor occasionally. A year later I got another young cat and she also saw my other cat scurry through the hall and She chased after her and then sat down and looked around in the living room.
My cat stares at walls and into space. I figure either spirits or spiders. I hope it's spirits or fruit flies.

We let our 19 yr old cat pass last week in our living room. Just when the vet said she had gone our other cat jumped up on a side table and stared at the wall/ceiling and there was absolutely nothing there that we could see.

My cat has a "friend" that it watches and sometimes plays with. This is so often that I know where this thing lives! My other cats have shown little interest in this thing, but enough that I know they can all see it, they just don’t care. I’ve had it for years and as I write this, my cat is cooing at it. 🤪

Ya - who knows - I don’t think it’s a kitty, just a wee spirit of some sort. I was watching her watching it flying all over the living room and then closer to her face then it bopped her on the nose. Gently. It was so funny!! I had to stifle my laugh hard! I have 5 cats and I’ve only ever seen 1 different cat react to it and he was annoyed by it.
The energy must still exist.
Firm believer that animals do recognize spirits/energy that most humans don’t - either because of their enhanced senses or the fact animals don’t live with preconceived prejudices.

When Cary died in my arms, I took him to the bedroom to show to my other cat. Ever since then, my quiet cat has taken on the behavior of Cary. Talkative, cuddling, etc. Awesome.
When one of my cats were sick I took a picture.. Didn't notice it at the time but when I went back to the picture there was a ghost cat right next to the other cat .

My babysitter as a kid back in 2002 parents passed and he took a picture of his parents flat/balcony to sell it. When the picture developed orbs where in the air and we saw his mum and dads face but it was misty at the same time. I was only 8 but I’ve never forgotten I remember telling him that maybe it’s a sign you shouldn’t sell the flat
About an hour after my cat showed the first signs she was dying, there was a STRONG smell of church incense wafting out of the room into the hallway. I've been told by family that the sudden smell of incense or funeral flowers is an indicator that a spirit is leaving and saying goodbye..

My brother passed in 2020 and psychics picked up that my cat could see him and knew he was hanging out at the house.
A little over 20 years ago, I was in a UK hospital with SARS (a year before it was recognized as such, but SARS nonetheless according to the specialist). For the first two weeks, I kept feeling these 3 pads on the foam bed and a weight settle in the crook of my knees. I was certain it was one of my passed cats but didn’t know which one until he let me see him for half a second as I returned from the restroom. Literally. When I said (out loud),”Oh, it’s you!,” he stopped visiting.
And, yes, I think I have a touch of the Sight from my Scottish and red-headed heritage. I see passed animals mostly but a few humans.
I'm not Scottish or redheaded and have seen and do see otherworldly entities almost every day. Not like scary or crazy entities they never are that way. But they do often appear as they were when they died. I think they died recently in that situation, maybe the shock of experiencing out of body existence leaves them in a state of remembering how they were before they died.
It might just be in my head but I think dead cats Visit at least once, get recognised, and then leave. It can be as little as feeling them jump up on the bed if you know it's them.

I had my cat of 10 years pass away on my bed last year, a few months before I got my current cat. My current cat is pretty chill, but sometimes she'll get up and run down the hall, almost as if she's chasing something.
I also sometimes feel like my old cat comes onto my bed and snuggles next to me, and my mom also feels the same thing. He passed next to me while I was asleep, so I'm certain he's still sticking around.
When my brother's cat passed some time ago - when my old cat was alive - my old boy completely changed. He avoided certain spots and stuck to others, and for a few days he stayed on elevated surfaces almost constantly (something he rarely ever did, as he preferred low and sheltered areas).
It’s definitely true. I buried my cat while my very old 15 year old dog was snoozing. So he didn’t know where it was or what it was. I’m a gardener, there’s always a tree being put in, or bulbs, so there’s always fresh dirt in my yard. But two days later, I saw him intently staring at the grave site for several minutes. And he laid down next to it. It was weird and of course I immediately thought she must be there. He wandered away after 10 minutes to his usual spot in the yard and went to sleep. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if she came to get him when his time comes?
Yours is the best story I’ve heard. I’ve seen videos too of cats seeming to be reaching towards a spirit.
Cats can sense far more than we understand
My childhood cat, Nebula, passed while I was away at college (I swear that she did it on purpose to spare me the pain). But, the next time I was home and periodically afterwards, I would be in bed when I would feel a thump and recognizable paw steps of a cat walking beside me in bed, followed by a weight and warmth by my side. No living cats were in my room, and Nebula always settled down at my side, pointing herself at my door to "protect" me. I cried the first time, but now it's comforting.
my ex had an adorable cat that was very shy. Anytime I was home alone, she would run up to me for pets. after a couple of minutes, she froze, sat upright, eyes wide open, staring right over my shoulder. This was at the top of the stairs, on the landing.
I didn't think much of it, until I started hearing footsteps in the room behind me

@@AlintraxAika I was an atheist for 15 years before honestly trying to engage with the spiritual and having experiences that I couldn't explain any other way. You don't believe in spirits, that's okay, but please have the humility to recognize that your experiences are not universal. Scientists are still discovering new organs in the human body, there is still so much we don't know and don't have the instruments to prove.

A few days ago. Both my kittens sleeping right next to me on the sofa. My female kitten (Venus) jumps up and over the back of the sofa. I looked to see what had startled her...she had put herself in a tight pace. I soothed her but when she came out to go back to where she had been laying, she was very weary and slowly going towards it smelling the area. I believe there was something there. Mind you she's taken interest in the air about her before, which made think she could see something. Think I have a psychic kitten 😸
Our 16 year old male passed at home over 10 years ago . Ever since then our orange tabby female nighty runs up and down a dark hallway meowing at the ceiling and walls . She runs full speed at times like she is chasing something . Once she ran right into a glass sliding door leading outside .
She meows every night in that hallway like she’s asking for her past soulmate
They say the body weighs less after the spirit leaves
I don't believe that myself, but rather that the spirit is a pattern of energy. Its connection to the physical is effectively weightless, much like the charge in a battery or the flow of energy in a cell phone. But because of that connection, the spirit is present as long as it's sustained.
Yes 🙌🏻 thank you Jackson! As a Spiritualist and a student medium I absolutely know cats can see spirits. After all they are spirits that happen to be in a physical body currently just like us.🌻
Cats are truly mystical beings.
When my cat passed he possessed my foster cat for 3 days! She did everything he normally did, which was far out of character for her. He hung around to say goodbye. Then after 3 days, she was back to normal. Will never forget it.
Definitely spirits, I know cats witness/experience things at levels our feeble human senses need some fine tuning and practice to begin to understand. I think their abilities are amazing and behooves us to pay attention.
We had a little ghost cat grace us with its presence for about ten years. It came with the house. I miss it.
I believe it I lost my Dad this year unexpectedly and since than Fella our siamese cat acts like he saw Daddy.
When I lay down at night, I can feel the footprints of my cat walking on top of the covers so soft. I feel her every night. I love it. I fall asleep, knowing she’s with me.

I studied with an amazing shaman for a number of years. I saw, heard and experienced things that are completely unexplainable to me but I'm positive there is more to life and death than life and death. And my experiences were overwhelmingly positive. Death is just a transition. It definitely hurts the living who are left behind... but it's not the end of anything.

We have 5 rescue cats and live in a verified haunted house (a group comprised of ex-LAPD detectives and forensics workers came and caught a bunch of EVP’s). One of the 2 spirits is a young girl. We know she’s around because all the cats will simultaneously run to the opposite end of the house. One night I clearly heard her say “Don’t go kitties” in the sweetest voice but it sent shivers up my spine.
I also remember when my dad passed, my mom's dog several times would stare at night into a room where no one was n acting like someone was there, scare the crap out of us. They are truly amazing. Love you man you are awesome too

I love cats, they are such incredible beings with eyes that are wild and little armor as sharp to kill. I LOVE CATS!!!😅❤❤❤❤❤
After my cat Latifah died I sat in meditation and repeated over and over to her, "Thank you, I love you" to send her on with love. I felt a warm brush on my face with an intuitively received "Thank you" from her. I will always feel the blessing of this exchange. 💚

People can pick up on that energy too. My kittys energy when through me as I held her and I could feel it the second her heart stopped. It was if she wanted her last energy to heal my broken heart. It was absolutely amazing 🖤🐈⬛🐾❤️
We've had similar incidents with our cats.
Our house has two floors with a staircase connecting them. We had already been hearing the occasional sounds like footsteps and creaking on the second floor when nobody was up there. Then there would be times when our cats would be sitting at the bottom of the staircase, just staring up it. Their backs and tails would then fluff up, and they'd tear out of there like the devil himself was after them.
We like to think that it's our late grandparents who've come for a visit, and our cats just don't know them.
I have a tuxie male that is 16 years old. He had a close brush with death & his sister passed 3 yrs ago & his brother a month ago (@ home) . . . He exhibits this behavior and still continues to relate to them after death -- talking to the wall or the back of the couch that were favorite resting sites for them. I also felt my male cats spirit thru the next day, when he passed last month💕🐾😻
My 2 younger cats have avoided my passed cat's former spot. They won't sleep on that part of the cat tower. I saw one digging in that spot like he was looking for her 😢. We even rescued 2 new cats and they don't lay there either. It's her spot forever ❤
I believe the soul leaves the body after the last breath! It’s just the vessel that’s left. All we can do is love that animal with all your heart whilst it’s alive. Then we have done our best! Xx

I do believe in people and animal afterlife until this day I think of them and miss them dearly it's hard to stop loving them when they r gone. I feel they will b aways b with me in spirit. Some of their toys r still around I can't bring myself to discard them it hurts so much but I think all of the good times we had brings a smile to my face.🥺
When I was in high school I used the Ouija board often and the cats would definitely see spirits. I ask one spirit if the cat could see them and it said yes. Then I asked where it was in the room. It was in the SW corner. I asked it to move to the NE corner and the cats eyes and head went from staring up in the SW corner and followed it to the NE corner!

I believe animals can see and sense energy that leaves the physical form. One day I returned home after a horrible experience with a very nasty/evil person so I had a salt water bath and my beautiful black cat hissed & growl at something just above my head, he was quite intent about whatever it was that came home with me and scared it away. Cats can perceive things we can't.
It's sure they can see spirits!!!

When my husband died he left his cat, Jynx, in my care. She missed him so much. It took a year for her to leave his parking spot and she never truly seemed happy after she realized he wasn’t coming home. Sadly last year I had to put her down to do cancer that was slowly suffocating her. I told her she was going home to daddy and she begun to purr. Moments later she past.
My cat of two years just got hit by a car in our neighborhood and died two days ago, and my daughter and I are devastated. I would LOVE to see him or hear him for one last time.
I lost my best cat friend suddenly last year and blamed myself for not being able to save her. Felt I didn't deserve to have cats in my life. Beat myself up. Then a few months later 2 cats showed up before a bad storm. They approached me while I was visiting bff kitty at her grave in our yard. We looked for their owners but no one claimed them, so we spayed them and now we have cats again. I'd like to think it was her sending me proof that I'm not a bad cat parent 😢
I've had 9 cats in 33yrs. Many things have happened in places I've lived. I myself am sensitive to spirits. Some of my cats were, more than others. They definitely identified where they were at, with their behavior & vocally & I sensed that they were trying to protect me. That's the briefest version I can tell.
I've also had brief visits with some of my cats that have passed. Just glances of them, that often happened many times in a brief period. I know my pets miss me, like I do them & are waiting for reunion.
I also try so they can leave this world in their home. At peace. Not in a stressful environment as a vet clinic is..
The worst part is to see the other cats missing the one who's left..
I remember esp one who died suddenly in front of us, without any warning other than a cough once & he fell down & was dead.
After that our other cat, came running for months if she heard anything that sounded anything like a meow..
And she started to walk around our place for hours, like she was looking for someone..
She clearly missed her friend & it was absolutely heartbreaking to see. It literally changed her personality..
My tuxedo cat passed 7 months ago and she visited her favorite spots in the house within the hour before she passed away. When I walked outside on the porch to get fresh air and cry a little I had 12 feral cats on my porch! It was like they knew and they were all looking at me with very sad faces. They still hang around my porch to this day and give my boyfriend and I comfort. Princess was 15 years old. She was very vocal so we are struggling with the silence lately. These feral cats are helping with the grief.❤❤️🩹

When I was about 15, 16yo, I've had a cat who lived with my mom, but was mine when I lived there. She never let me take him and she was a bad person. When he passed, he showed up at my grandma's home, where I lived until college, and said goodbye to me for a second. When I followed his little ghost to the door he entered, he was already gone... my Adonis had the kindness to let me see him one last time, God bless him in Heaven... I miss him a lot ❤️
I had to have my dog put to sleep when I left the vet office 10 or so minutes later I could hear my other dog howling. A lady in a car said he's been doing that for the last 15 minutes
When one of our cats or dogs is due to pass, days before we catch glimpses of pets who have already passed. We think to collect the pet. And another joins our spirit pack. The most important thing is to be with your cat or dog when they pass, at their most difficult time. You owe it to them for all the love they gave you.
The last two sentences brought me right into tears. 3 years ago I had to put one of my cats to sleep, and I was with her until the very end. My daughter and I both had a hand on her. I started crying even harder realizing just HOW MUCH I was going to miss her. I still miss her deeply. So now, her sister, is almost 21 years old and I know I'll be going through all that again.

I had cat visit me the night after its euthanasia, spirit jumped up on my bed and started walking toward me, and I told it to go into the light and it disappeared.

Yes they do and they also come back to visit us after they pass. I recently lost one of my kitties. This cat HAD to sleep with me every night. She always jumped on the bed on the same corner of the mattress every time, for years. Now, sometimes when I’m in bed trying to go to sleep, I feel her jump on the bed, on her corner, and then walk across to me. It’s so wild but it makes my heart smile 😊♥️

When my father was sick with cancer his calico cat stayed with him constantly. She was a stray that had come to the house after he got sick. My father said she was an angel sent from God to be with him while he was ill. His cancer was Stage 4 when then found it. Before he passed early one morning my mother had let her outside and then she came back in and ran into my parents bedroom. He had passed over about 10 minutes before. She ran into the room and then stopped halfway into the room and then turned around and walked out again. She knew he was gone. She was sent from God. I think she is with both my parents now.
My Itty Bitty Baby will look at the wall and start swatting air after I have been in meditation and prayer. I have always felt a presence during these times and I believe she can actually see whatever that presence is. It’s amazing how in tune with energy cats really are. They are fascinating animals. ❤
My cat died at home & 1 cat ran to eat out of anxiety. Others already knew he passed as they said good byes.
Right after my grandma passed my aunt was in my grandma's bedroom with her cat and the cat was meowing and looking up in the air following something. My aunt was video taping her cat, my aunt was saying are you talkng to grandma? My aunt said she didn't see anything. She put the video on her facebook page. I watched the video and you could diffenately see the little white light flying around the room. I messaged my aunt and told her to watch the video because her cat Miracle was talking to grandma and you could see the light. I was really feeling sad,but also with mixed feelings. I was like WHAT THE HECK!!!! 😢😲🤔❤ The video is proof. My grandma raised me from the time i was 3 months old so to me she was my mom to.❤
