A wonderful setting of 'Veni Creator Spiritus' by Luigi Mengoni and beautifully registered and performed by you on the gorgeous Mascioni organ: bravo, Rien!
What beautiful, meditative music. So amazing how the different stops of the organ work together! You love the floating stops very much, I notice that again and again, today I feel the magic myself very strongly! Best regards, dear Rien.
Hello Rien. Very beautiful interpretation of this delightful and interiorized composition. You have chosen a registration that I really like. And.. thank you for the little publicity boost!!
Dank! Thanks! Don’t miss my tomorrows piece. A short joyful prelude played with Rotterdam with a ending that includes all pedal reeds, including the 32’ :-)
Nice to meet you, Rien, and thanks for your performance! You are too good: if my setting of "Veni creator" is heavenly, how would you describe Duruflé's choral varié?
Hi Luigi, thanks! Of course Duruflé is fantastic (and for Duruflé this one is pretty accessible). But the way you caught the essence of the melody in combination with the flowing tranquil accompaniment is just so beautiful! Most compositions over this hymn are bold and loud. So it’s nice to play a piece with another approach which is very accessible too. You made a beautiful piece. :-)
Beautiful tempo and registration! Is that a clarinet reed in the solo? Sometimes the clarinet is just perfect -- such as here. Definitely a smooth ending to my day
Beautiful music and playing, Rien! Congratulations to the composer!
Thanks Vidas. a wonderful piece of music!

Thanks! It’s a crumhorn with tremulant to make it a bit softer.
