  • Sure, windshield wipers are not new technology, but some vehicle owners may appreciate a quick walk through on the various features available on the wiper stalk including intermittent wiper speeds and the Rain Sensing Wipers. This video will provide step by step instructions on how to use both of those features.

    Id love to turn my auto wiper to manual interval, is that possible? I hate sensors, they never work properly

    Is there any way to adjust the intermittent setting? I feel they come on too soon. Seems they went backwards with only 3 settings . Everything else I have has variable intermittent modes and I like being able to set them manually

      Thanks for reaching out 73Diesel4ever. There is no "fine tuning" for the manual selection of the intermittent wiper preset frequencies, as depending on the vehicle model type and equipment, the measured variables and the resulting calculation are based on a computer algorithm. For more information please visit your local Honda dealership. You can locate your nearest Honda dealership here: www.honda.ca/dealerlocator/

    I have a 22 Hatchback Sport Touring with AUTO (rain-sensing). I wish there was the *option* to change the AUTO mode to INT mode instead. Let us choose if we want the wiper selection to function as either AUTO (rain-sensing) or INT (variable intermittent).

    Does anyone else have a Civic Hatchback that water pools on the driver's side, often blocking view? It's worst when driving through a mud patch.

    My 2017 Honda Fit does not have a rain sensor that I can find and no ring on the lever to adjust intermittent wiper speed. How can I adjust it?

    • @j_taylor
      @j_taylor ปีที่แล้ว

      It sounds like your car doesn't have that intermittent feature. It wasn't an option on the base LX trim.

    • @thorhammer6040
      @thorhammer6040 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@j_taylor But it does have a stop on the switch for intermittent wipers and it does work but I can't adjust between mist and sprinkles. it only goes one delay.

    • @j_taylor
      @j_taylor ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thorhammer6040 I know. My Fit LX has the same. It almost feels like Honda built the car, then went back and removed some features just so we wouldn't forget it was their least expensive model. 😁 I mean, the light sensor is there, it works with the automatic headlights.
      I found instructions online for "DIY Variable Intermittent Wiper install" on a Civic LX and am considering the experiment. (Sorry, I can't post links here, but it should be easy to find.)

      I don't know how bad you are at understanding the video, please don't take this personally I just want to help. There are 5 steps in the Wiper control stick. Mist, Off, Auto, Low and High. When you don't use the Wiper you keep it on "Off" position. When there is raining and you want to use wiper you go down one position to Auto which you do not seem to like then you go down one more time to Low or one more time to High. And when you stop using the wiper you push it all back up to the Off position. If you still having trouble understand me watch the video again and compare it to my words. In the worst case scenario, just ask someone or your neighbor who know to do it to teach you.

    I hate that my Civic has Auto... In my opinion, it's okay but doesn't work that well especially for me. When I try to out it on low, it just cranks it up faster than I need it to...and...when I set it on high, it doesn't even wipe fast enough to make me feel safe. I was caught in a downpour the other day and I had trouble seeing... In previous vehicles, I have been in worse storms and could see better because of faster wiper settings. I'm almost wondering if something is wrong with my system. Also, I swear I had my back wiper off, and it started going by itself. Maybe I'm nuts, but I swear it did! Anybody else experiencing these things?

    Honda make the worst “auto” wipers. You have to switch it on when it rains and off when it stops. What is auto about that??? 2020 Civic Type R

    • @j_taylor
      @j_taylor ปีที่แล้ว

      They mean auto speed. Drivers are supposed to notice when it's raining and drive accordingly.
