Tarja's solo career has been one of the most joyful new discoveries for me, she's creative and experimental and never gets stuck in one lane, every song you listen to is a surprise on its own, and also her voice has evolved so much since she left Nightwish. I'm just very in love with the music she has created, and also love seeing how happy and passionate she is about it!! :)

All people get the idea of Tarja in Nightwish but few know how talented she is, the variety of genres she has and how versatile her voice is in her solo career. this song is just the tip of the iceberg because she has an amazing career. This show is totally live with nothing pre-recorded.
Thanks for the reaction. This is a great song and it has a powerful official video. This live version is much longer. Tarja is outstanding in her solo career. This whole concert is great. I like all her projects. She is not afraid to cross genres. Listening to her voice is pure joy for me. Now you can really see how happy she is and enjoying the performance. I saw her live recently and she is an amazing performer. And you can see how she has matured into a complete artist. She is no longer "just" a voice, but also a composer and producer.
It's just a shame that it didn't go without a comparison to Floor. This is Tarja's song and Floor has nothing to do with it.
Brilliant performance from a brilliant concert. Innocence is of my favourite Tarja's songs even though her voice is lost in the mix just a touch here. I love the direction that Tarja has gone since her departure from Nightwish. Her creativity, singing and stage presence are at a much higher level in her solo career. She has demonstrated how good a song writer she is as well.

I loved Tarja's time in Nightwish but she got to fly on her own on her solo career and with it, she truly found her voice. She looks a lot happier on stage on her solo shows.
You haven’t heard that much with Tarja, so maybe you just haven’t heard her more punchier voice that she does have.
It's not like Floor's, it's different. I don't like to compare those two, they are so different and still both amazing singers.
Nowadays, Tarja has developed more darker chest voice that she actually uses quite recurlarly (just not that much in this song)
If you are taking requests from the comments, Shadow Play from Tarja, live from this same concert is a good song to get to know her voice a bit more.
You should know that Nightwish as first was acoustic band, just acoustic guitar, piano and vocal, but because of Tarja's powerful vocal they decided to change their style to metal, and because of Tarja it was with symphonic elements. So no, it's not Nightwish feel, it's how Tarja's music sounds. ;) She love metal and classical music and she mix it very well.
I loved NW with Tarja, I love her current career. We have a bit different taste with you since I find FJ boring (nota bene! my opinion/my taste) compared to Tarja who has some kind of magic in her (dark voice, stage presence).
No one compares to Tarja.

I have only 1 small thing that bothered me with this otherwise nice reaction...this was a Tarja reaction and sadly you spoke of Floor several times. This had nothing to do with Tarja being with Nightwish, even though she was the reason Nightwish is the band you know today.
Tarja has been without NW since 2005 and has a very successful solo career 😊

It’s a bit sad and boring that you have to talk how much you adore Floor, when it’s a video of Tarja you are going to react too. Tarja is so much better than NW now. Saw NW in June and there were no chemestry between the guys and Floor, just tired people and no happines. Only Tuomas and Empuu hugged each other at the end no one else. I don’t think they will return to the stage anymore. The break will probably be forever if they don’t solve some issues.

Complete agreement. Just don't want to judge the chemistry between Floor and the guys, because I haven't seen them. But I saw Tarja two weeks ago at a big rock festival. And I don't understand that woman, her charisma and energy on stage. She was captivating.
Fortunately, many reactors no longer make these pointless comparisons.
And Tarja has really surpassed Nightwish with her music for me as well, mainly with her last rock album and Outlanders. But I listen to everything, including all projects from current and former Nihgwish members and I like a lot of things.

I applaud you for being brave enough to say out loud what I am sure many have noticed. I discovered Nightwish with Floor but after discovering Nightwish with Tarja and then Tarja's solo career, that's what I kept going back to. But I try to stay open minded always and I do like Floor too. So I watched the recent Osaka concert and I was left with the same impression: no energy, no passion, they walked off the stage in a hurry and then the announcement about not touring came out and I was not surprised.
I completly agree with you. I've seen Floor two times live with Nightwish, good concerts, but no more. I also have seen Tarja two times live. Tarja's stage present is unbelievable. It's blown up my mind.
A few years ago "someone" 😉😄😄 sings "Ship is sinking, deeper and deeper and deeper on top of you", thats the situation of Nightwish know. They can release a new studio album, ok, but who will recognized it ? After Marko have leaved the Band, there are boring. Nightwish became big with Toumas as the head and Tarja and Marko as the soul of the band. They have completly lost her soul.

Normally, In Nightwish songs (which I only discovered after Tarja, with Floor) I can not listen to Tarja's versions for more than 15 seconds (I really tried). Too operatic, theatrical, over the top. All the time. Whereas Floor adapts styles in the way it is needed for the song. She tells and performs stories like no one can in a song.

Interesting. For me it's quite similar with Floor... too poppy-rocky, too generic voice, too Shakira-like... I get bored. But she is s great singer, no doubt.
@@withoutshadowww Haha! We will never agree, and it does not matter. Floor is by many people acknowledged as on of the most versatile female vocal talents on the planet. She can do virtually anything with her voice. Main thing is that she can bring emotion in about every syllable she sings. Google for some if you are interested to discover the talents of this woman. 'Phantom of the opera' - Beste Zangers, acoustic version of 'How's the heart', 'Face your demons' by Floor live at Amsterdam.

@@jacques7799 I do not care about versatility. I prefer classical Italian pizza or pasta over the US pizza and pasta in hundreds of colours and flavours. Get it? After all, Tarja can be also versatile to some degree, and actually she is much more creative and brave with her music (classical, dark neoclassical, Christmas, rock, metal, electronic, ambient) than Floor (solo and cover stuff is boring and very safe mainstream pop)
Btw, Floor does not bring me emotions with songs from the Nightwish albums 1997-2002, actually these songs now sound too light yet rocky, not dark enough, including her Shakira-going-rock presence.
And I have beef familiar with Floor's voice since 2002 (when she was in After Forever where she sounded better and more interesting), the same as Tarja's voice, so need to enlighten me... you new fans are really sometimes annoying. 😅
"Floor adapts styles in the way it is needed for the song"... needed by whom? That's such an odd statement. Also for me it is the opposite. The songs written during Tarja's time with Nightwish, with her voice in mind as well, lost a lot of their initial magic for me once they were 'adapted'. There's very little melancholy left in songs like Nemo and Ghost Love Score once you introduce belting to it. It's not bad, it's just not what I love about the songs and I didn't need anything adapted to enjoy them any better.
