    Part of Saros Series 134
    Solar eclipses tend to occur in cycles. The Saros Cycle, one of the most studied eclipse cycles, occurs every 18 years. Two solar eclipses separated by a Saros Cycle have similar features - they occur at the same lunar node, with the Moon roughly at the same distance from the Earth. The eclipses also take place at about the same time of the year and around the same time of day. Eclipses that are separated by a Saros Cycle are included in a Saros Series.
    The October 14, 2023 Annular Solar Eclipse belongs to Saros Series 134. The series began with a Partial Solar Eclipse visible from the Southern Hemisphere on June 22, 1248 and will end with a Partial Solar Eclipse visible in the Northern Hemisphere on August 6, 2510.
    Solar Saros 134, containing 71 events, each separated by 223 synodic months (18 years, 11 days, 8 hours).
    The series started with partial solar eclipse on June 22, 1248. It contains total eclipses from October 9, 1428 through December 24, 1554, hybrid eclipses from January 3, 1573 through June 27, 1843, and annular eclipses from July 8, 1861 through May 21, 2384. The series ends at member 71 as a partial eclipse on August 6, 2510. The longest duration of totality was 1 minute, 30 seconds on October 9, 1428.
    2023 has four eclipses. The year begins with a hybrid solar eclipse and ends with a partial lunar eclipse, with a penumbral lunar eclipse, and an annular solar eclipse in between.
    * Hybrid Solar Eclipse of 2023 Apr 20 (Solar Saros 129: 52 of 80)
    * Penumbral Lunar Eclipse of 2023 May 05 (Lunar Saros 141: 24 of 72)
    * Annular Solar Eclipse of 2023 Oct 14 (Solar Saros 134: 44 of 71)
    * Partial Lunar Eclipse of 2023 Oct 28 (Lunar Saros 146: 11 of 72)

    What happens if a Solar Eclipse occurs At Night? Do not you see the full moon?
    /Music Plays

    • @Meanderonthemoon
      @Meanderonthemoon  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      During a Solar eclipse, the Moon is in its new phase, so you cannot see the Moon because it is not illuminated. During new Moon, the Moon is only above the horizon during the daytime (in general). If there were a solar eclipse at night time, it would not be visible because the sun and moon would both be below the horizon. A lunar eclipse happens at night when the Moon is full and passes through Earth's shadow.

    me acuerdo del eclipse total de sol el 11 de julio de 1991 por estos lados del occidente de panamá... 3 meses antes de este evento, se dio un terremoto de 7.6 que sacudió las fronteras de costa rica y panamá el mismo día mundial de la tierra............ ojala no se de ningún evento ni antes ni después de ese eclipse. por fortuna donde vivo se podrá apreciar en su mayor porcentaje ya que sera un eclipse anular.....
