Wonderful to read the comments on the music, both pro and con. Gerald Fried also composed the score for a number of Wagon Train episodes (and also, but non-Western, Stanley Kubrick's early films, and many other TV shows and movies).
Today is 11/10/20 and I got the "like" button. It said it added to my liked videos but the number of likes did t increase. Idk why that is going that but I thought I'd let ya know. That is for the uploads of all the great westerns!!🙏
Thank You Bob for posting these great old T V Shows. These shows wont fix the condition America is in right now, But for those of us who remember how things were before it certainly helps ease the pain and adds hope that things will get back to normal.
I love the opening for this show. Watching this ep. reminds me of also watching eps. of The Deputy--same jazzy music and narraration. Coincidentally both show are made by Revue Studios too.
Good show 8-) Interesting format, with the music and narration more akin to an old spy thriller rather than a western. Reminded me of the Route 66 theme. Enjoyed it. Thanks for uploading.
Thanks westerns channel really enjoy 10 thumbs down they don't know what they're missing Scott Brady was pretty cool I mean it's not Gunsmoke or nothing like that but still really good Western with jazzy music👍👌
"Shotgun Slade was a Detective Western Starring Scott Brady brother of Lawrence Tierney,in real life they had fued going and they each were in and out of trouble with the law."-🖥🌐🌍🌏🌎🌐..
These old westerns always had a problem with shotguns. They loved to show them but always resorted to bullets being fired instead of the sound and damage a shotgun causes.
Shotgun Slade really out to be named Birdshot Slace because the only way Slade didn’t blow the guys hand right off would be if he filled his shotgun shells with bird shot.
If I hadn't seen the opening, I would've assumed Slade was driving a car, then pulling over to shoot towards the camera, strike a serious pose, then get back in his car and drive onwards.
@@briankeller788 ....From what I understand, the show creators were trying to make Shotgun Slade different from the many Westerns of the day.... So they made the hero a private eye (instead of a sheriff) gave him a specially designed shotgun and provided a jazz sound track...
Bob Terry how dare you to say, "We'll see after the show." You can't see (us) we see you! As an adult you should have a better grasp of American language.
8-6-2022, well Linda Martin, I have a high school education and I have a better idea of what should be said. So, if I see a big problem, I must do my comment. And if I upset you or others, not sorry.
I watched the series years ago on black & white TV. What attracted me was the west coast jazz soundtrack, rather than that twanging outhouse hillbilly crap.

I am so Glad to be able to see these Western Movies! 😉
Slade must have the least effective shotgun rounds known to man. Love the show, though! Many thanks, Bob!
Was it an over under, shotgun-rifle .?
@@CapnSchep Over/under combo gun. .32 caliber rifle barrel over 12 gauge shotgun barrel.
thanks!

Thanks for the episodes.
Sue Ann Langdon is great in The Guide For The Married Man, she rocks in this shotgun slade episode too
Thanks for sharing .

Great series and I really enjoyed it when growing up. Great Jazz score by Gerald Fried. Thanks for the upload. Out.

Wonderful to see Francis X. Bushman.
June Robertson Yes it was ,a lot of people unfortunately don’t remember one of the greatest actors and physiques in Hollywood!
a pleasant surprise!
thanks for posting
who's the girl? I have seen here somewhere... and that music? ha - what is that - western jazz?
Nothing like riding into town and asking directions, with your shotgun pointed at the citizenry! We sixties kids learned gun safety from these shows.
Very good bob Thanks
It would be cooler if you actually used a photo of Shotgun Slade when you introduce the show "starring Scott Brady"
Well here is shot=gun Slade as promissed, & The Alberto & Eduardo Show is live. Bueno Dias

Awesome...
🤠👍🏿
I find the 1950's Chicago Jazz distracting.
Yeah why? Was jazz popular at 1800s, or it might be a funny goof!
Some of these are closed captioned and some are not??! Why can't they ALL be closed captioned?
We are not sure why. we will look into it.
These old westerns always had a problem with shotguns. They loved to show them but always resorted to bullets being fired instead of the sound and damage a shotgun causes.
What was in Slades shotgun bird seeds? There shouldn't have been nothing left of Phillip's hand after Slade used a shotgun
We even have a spoof for u today!
Back then when children watched TV. They were being taught morals. Not like today, March 15, 2019.
Really. The moral is : If somebody pisses you off, just shoot 'em about 50 times.
Shotgun Slade really out to be named Birdshot Slace because the only way Slade didn’t blow the guys hand right off would be if he filled his shotgun shells with bird shot.
Good show, but the music doesn't fit at all.
I thought the same thing. Almost early 1950's sounding like Dragnet
What always goes up but never down. Guess & subscribe now
When America was great...
when it was fake but fun if you were white and lucky
Never seen this western before. First one, but not very impressed.
.
The music ruins the show
Too many adds bob
Well do you want to pay for it? Ads only bother if you can't get rid of them ads.
Too few subtracts.
Episode OK except for the ridiculous music.
It's the late 1950s what kind of music do you expect you're a moron
Yeah but the time is of the 1800s, we are to ignore the 1950s.
