I had new Rouge as a rental. I was the first to rent it. I was very surprised in how nice it was and it was the middle of the line trim level. I was surprised with the turbo 3 cyl. It did great zipping around the rolling hills and moutain roads in far northern GA. Id definition by one as a daily. It got great mpg as well and I was not driving for economy. Lots of bang for the dollar considering the price of new cars now.
They seem like great vehicles but my girlfriend has been wanting a practical car that she could off road on occasion, so we visited our Nissan dealer (she likes Nissan). I saw no skid plates or recovery hooks. Those are two absolute musts for any off road trim package, especially for a low clearance vehicle. Definitely a good looking car though.
I just bought one today. I traded in my 2022 Platinum because I wanted the more rugged/sporty look. The Rock Creek seems zippier/smoother while driving. I know I gave up a bunch of features, but for me, the roof rack and the overall look of it is worth it to me! I'm impressed!
The only miss here is that when a $25K Kicks has a 12" screen, what are they thinking putting a 8" screen on a near $40K vehicle? Even all the small vehicles like the Trax, Envista, Kona, etc all have big 12" screens, and Nissan HAS a 12" screen for the SL, should have put it on the Rock Creek.
I had the same blue Platinum (2022). I gave up a lot of premium features and traded in for the Rock Creek. I absolutely love the way the Rock Creek looks! No regrets!
Thanks for the review, Ben! I, like so many others, question the reliability of a 3 cylinder, turbo, CVT. If it works well, I’m thinking 60k miles out of it at best. If it fails, I will have spent $45k to buy and how much in repairs?🤔🙁
Nice looking car!! Through this car model history, we know the Rogue has have multiple transmission issues multiple years. Hope Nissan have finally addressed that with this one.
Sunroof and leather seats as well as a bose sound system should be optional for the rock creek rogue and pathfinder, sunroof and bose sound system were optional for the last generation pathfinder rock creek on the sl trim level
Compair it to the Chevrolet equinox active vs Nissan rock creek I am buying one of them in December .!!! So get to it please the one you say I will buy!!!😮😮😊😅
So I am not a Nissan CVT fan at all, but they have got better over the last 10 years. Also, maintenance is key with CVTs. Their 9 speed is so much better.
I believe these auto makers are building these cheap vehicles with 3 cylinder engines and CVT knowing most will ignore them and buy the 60k plus vehicles with V8s in them instead.

Nissan is much better than it's given credit for!
@@rickster7876 exactly 👍🏻
I’m on my 3rd Nissan their okay but after this is paid off it’s time for a change
The Rogue designers seemed to have worked hard to make this Rock Creek model work.
Looks way better in person than the official photos. The white body works well with the 3 hood handle. Just wished the console screen is bigger.
I have that exact blue Rogue Platinum that was shown at the very end of this video and love it. The Platinum is so sharp but so is the Rock Creek!!
I have the same platinum 👍🏾
I had the same blue Platinum (2022). I gave up a lot of premium features and traded in for the Rock Creek. I absolutely love the way the Rock Creek looks! No regrets!
That remains to be seen. My 2015 grand Cherokee is still up and running whereas my aunts 2005 rogue died after 5 years
Glad you got the Rock Creek! Cool! how about CrossTreck wildnerness?
I agree

Jeep Compass, Bronco Sport, Yaris Cross
More of a Subaru Wilderness trim competitor
I'd compare it to other softroaders like the refreshed 2025 Hyundai Tucson XRT.
My only issue is they only put Rock Creek on the SVs. So there is no way to get upgraded stereo and other features on both Pathfinder and Rogue.
do they have a leather and sunroof option Ben.
I'm just not a fan of the orange accents, though.
Thanks for the video Ben!
Nope, you’d need to go with a regular Rogue. They did the same with the Rock Creek Pathfinder.
Sunroof and leather seats as well as a bose sound system should be optional for the rock creek rogue and pathfinder, sunroof and bose sound system were optional for the last generation pathfinder rock creek on the sl trim level
If it has a CVT it is not a serious off roader. All hat, no cattle.
CVT is about 8k to replace and the dealer seems to be the only one that can work on it local transmissions shops dont touch them so no thanks
That’s dumb because Subaru is a cvt. The wilderness are pretty good at off road
@@MarioLuigi-vb3rp Oh, please! 😂
Any 25 pathfinder news? still a v6?
Can that be compared with the Mazda 50?
Pushing 200 hp out a 3 cyl, not so sure lol. The trax and envista provide moderate hp
The GR Corolla has a 300 hp 3 cylinder lol
Trax is 140hp
Trax is 140hp this is 220. I prefer Subaru forester wilderness 180hp naturally aspirated around the same hp
like the other guy said. The GR Corolla has a 300HP 3 cylinder. It needs a turbo to reach that power though.
@@GokuInstinct1 This is also a turbo charged 3 cylinder
A three cylinder engine? I'll stick to my naturally aspirated V6
38 for a nissan. No wonder they're going out of business. That thing is tacky
Compare it to the new Chevy Equinox Activ.
The equinox Active isn’t AWD
@@XX-166 AWD with an 8 speed auto is optional on all 2025 Equinox trims ✌
@@geofox84 the active model is the one the comment was referring to.

This nissan rogue looks for a family suv
Variable compression turbo? No thank you. You couldn't give this to me and if you did I would return it
MANNNN PLEASE!! A CVT???😂😂😂. Jeep still has this beaten. Knobby tires and a big roof rack doesn’t make this rugged.
is that 38k USD? too expensive, it is like 100k CAD. with that money I'd buy a Ford F150 in Canada
I think Nissan is going to sell a lot of these
I like my 2025 Forester Sport more than this for the same price
WHERE IS THE 2025 PATHFINDER?
The "new" nissan is good
Let’s see a 1.5 liter 3 cylinder Turbocharged motor with a CVT transmission ?🙄😳😲😩
3 cylinder with a CVT? I would never buy that. But to be fair these buyers have no interest in going off pavement.
Why would I buy a car with a sewing machine engine in it?????
Aye, Nissan. Literally, no one asked for this 😂 give us the xterra!!!
If this still has the jatco trans in it then it really doesn’t matter how nice it looks. It won’t be dependable
🤦♂️
So I am not a Nissan CVT fan at all, but they have got better over the last 10 years. Also, maintenance is key with CVTs. Their 9 speed is so much better.
Fake news
I’m impressed how much of an expert you are about CVT transmissions. I would guess you wouldn’t know the first thing about them.
CVT and a 3 cylinder? No bueno
Way too much gloss black in the front.
Ben grow your hair back or put a hat on, you look creepy !! 😆
I have it in a pony tail
It’s a 3 cylinder CVT. Recipe for disaster
A CVT doesn't make much sense for an "offroad" vehicle.
I agree, tell that to Subaru…
@@jakes5530Legit!
Damn cvt trans ruin it hard pass

This thing looks absolutely grotesque lol
1.5, 3 cylinder turbo with CVT...No thanks Nissan.
Another TOTALLY DISPOSABLE vehicle
It all depends how you treat the vehicle
I don't like the interior at all. No sunroof is unfortunate. That black interior is just ugly. Give me a beige or light gray interior.
eww beige...what are you 85 years old
Sounds like you want more of a luxury vehicle. This is more off road oriented
Nissan is junk
Very general comment. They make could trucks.

Wow, what an expert you are.
