  • Although a little delayed, here's the action from the 750 Motor Club's first visit to Snetterton for 2023, and my first visit to the circuit... ever! Decided to set up camp at Murray's corner and although I did find filming here difficult (probably due to it being my first time), I really did like this change of scenery and thoroughly enjoyed the brilliant racing put on by all 750MC Championships.
Snetterton is not a circuit I shall visit often as its quite far away from me; I just happened to be staying away near by so thought it'd be a shame not to go and watch some racing here.

You really have a sixth sense for who’s going to mess things up!

3:30 wow! An old Integra with pre 1998 front lights! I was resigned to see them only as hot wheels models (and I pick Integra models up very often. Think I have racked up at least 25 😊😂)

Quite a lot of wipeout's on the same part of the track. Safe to assume this corner is the most notorious for ruining races?

It's a very hard section to get right. It's a flat out sweeping right-hander into a hard braking zone. The car is loaded up laterally as you hit the brakes.

@@David_Brown Makes sense. there's very little room to get the car ready for that sharp corner.

@@David_Brown It was reprofiled when they changed the track, the idea was that the heavier braking zone would allow for an overtake opportunity, but I don't think it worked. What it does lead to, however, is more last gasp run to the line if the lead car gets it slightly wrong. The Brundle/Nelson combo is another hotspot, especially with novice drivers, people come in too hot off Bentley, just about save it for Brundle but are on the wrong line for Nelson. Experienced drivers know how to deal with it, but newer drivers often have issues.

@xrayjosh completely agree. It hasn't really produced better overtaking in that corner, but the difficulty of the corner definitely made the run to the line more exciting. Also, I managed to go two wide through Nelson and Brundle when we raced there last year. So much fun, a sector that rewards bravery.

@@David_Brownit certainly does reward the brave! One of my favourite spots to spectate because of this, good action and often good overtaking when it all hooks up!
