👍Great to see this! 😁 Both my brother & I learnt to drive, took our tests and passed 1st time in a '73 one of these having been taught by our late father. So many memories, these are built like a tank and quirky with the free wheel system which makes the car coast when you take your foot off the accelerator.
They used to make one with a 3 cylinder two stroke, maybe the freewheel was to prevent oil starvation on the over run.. I remember the sound the 2stroke used to make, like the old East German Wartburg..
@@scooteringblackpool8249 yes I am aware of the two stroke version 👍. There used to be one running about locally to me (not sure if free wheel was a feature on those?) . The freewheel was for fuel saving, there was a rod with a tee handle in the footwell for engaging / dis-engaging it. Full engine braking if dis-engaged. Massive drum brakes all round for extra stopping power as no engine braking when using the free wheel.
@@trevorphillips3055 Hi, my first car was a 1963, Bull Nose 3 cylinder 2 stroke - 3794 VB, and yes, the free wheel was a feature on it. Went like a rocket !

@@michaeltreadwell777 Nice, bet you wish you still had that. They must be worth a lot now, pretty rare too. 👍
Would love to own one of these, how much would it expect to make in auction?
I had a GT Monte Carlo...LUVED that car!
It brought £3200 at auction.
This was fully restored and sold for £22000.
Anyone know how much the car sold for.
Dont see many of those ford v4s any more.

The Term: "Heap Of Shit" Comes To Mind!! Must Be Worth All Of Two Dollars Fifty!!!
