This is the best part of Portland as well as pearl district the rest is a mix of old buildings/housing and unique new developments vandalized by graffiti and boarded up.. most of East Portland is still affected badly by the riots and you can’t go a block without homeless even in many residential areas. Portlands possibly the most lenient city when it comes to homeless… per capita it’s up there with LA… and on top of the drugs are decriminalized
In many part of los Angeles is not homeless people everywhere on the streets.and went you speak of someone city talking what you know. Most of the homeless people you see come from job was sent to China .and those people that lose that job could not find other job so they decided to come jobless people and live in the street the street
It feels like something was left out. So much room is allocated to pedestrians but where are they? Where are the people? You just came the area around Nordstrom where we could see some type of a crowd and then ended up on an empty street again. Strange! What are you not showing?
portland, even after it current chaos, is always a very pretty city. trees, wide streets, and walks. art deco buildings and friendly people. portland used to be a really fun cool city, its just been over run by homeless junkies these days...
Native (realm native) Oregonian here. This had to be filmed during COVID, way too few people on the streets and cars on the roads. So summer of 2021?Probably after the summer that Trumps DHS purposely riled up the public to demonstrate. I flew out of SeaTac on July 5th, on July 2nd things that were quieting down were exasperated by DHS clobbering peaceful protesters. Good job keeping license plates out of focus.
I'm from Fortaleza, Brazil, and wish i were born in Portland ! I've never been to America, but Portland and Seattle seem to be perfect cities to live in.
I lived in Brazil for a couple of years back in the mid 90s. Wonderful people. Portland and Seattle are ‘neat’ towns to visit, but I wouldn’t live there. I say this as someone who grew up in Oregon and now lives in Idaho. I know these cities well, as I still work in Oregon. The coast is great. Avoid these two cities.
Seattle is not perfect! I've lived outside of Seattle for over 24 years and the homeless situation if real bad! There are beautiful places outside of the city that are breathtaking but not the city of Seattle.
Wow, it looks so scary and dirty. Kidding!
Is this on a Sunday? It looks so abandoned and quiet…

Nothing was left out that's just how downtown Portland looks right now.
Wow how depressing
The area with a bunch of people near Nordstrom is just a stop for the light rail aka the MAX

I am planning to visit Brazil.
Don’t move here. It’s horrible. People and companies are leaving. Tons of businesses left and continue to leave because of crime.
