Latvia looks such a cool place. Once I did business with someone from there and just for time pass tried to find the exact office of them on Google maps and wow the country side of Latvia looks so chill. Certainly a place where I can settle for peaceful life or to train myself.

To me it’s not dedication cuz it wasn’t a pyschological torture to me at all tbh I miss nightmares very much as it ended when I was 12 years old after 6 years I really missed nightmares so much I was trying to experience actual fear through horror movies at night with no lights on in my room even experienced best horror games with no lights on either and yet it doesn’t affect me very much I play this games shown in the vid before and it was actually quite an annoying experience rather than fear experience cuz honestly I was expecting proper horror jumpscares and yet the best game dev can do is just add screen zoom in with red screen background and a stupid noise of stupid wide eyes fat face doll cunt then I got annoyed even more about lighten up the candles constantly just cuz the fire kept disappearing everytime the red screen outside the building appeared constantly like bro plz stop this shit and let me finish my fcking tasks and the rest of the game is just me walking around with my dumbass trying to figure out what’s the right door cuz I’m special ed deaf kid and that took me over 10 mins trying to find the right door
i wish it wasnt so over the top. it feels like acting. this is like the 10th game in a row his own footsteps bothered him. and then like the 100th time in a row he just sees stuff that isnt there. but ignores all the photos and text that tell the actual story . Think he needs a new pair of headphones.
I used to work for a security company and we had to patrol the grounds of a MASSIVE old people's home as kids would break in and get up to "mischief". We also had the keys and had to enter several times. The place smelled awful, was cold and had pictures of all the former residents on the doors of each room. It was so creepy, the hairs on my neck would stand up every time I went there. So creepy.
This was a very special one. A lot of times, when horror devs from Russia (or any non-Western country, for that matter) use horror, they'll oftentimes use things that are scary in one culture, but are maybe just odd in another. This one, however? This one didn't rely on that. It MASTERED pacing for the first 3/4 of the playthrough. Maybe it went a little too heavy in the last portion, but by and large it nailed proper pacing, and creating peaks and troughs of confidence and helplessness that horror requires. This was a great one.
N4BA (the dev) is really really good at pacing and atmosphere. They did 9 child’s street and wrong floor (wrong floor has same enemy model) and were both horrifying, wrong floor a little more so than 9 child’s imo
What the hell is this??? I've never freaked out like that just to see someone else playing a video game. That was freaking intense. I think the idea is to confront your fear and the more you try to avoid it it gets worse. Maybe you can speedrun it by just going directly into the dark and share a beer with the poltergeist.

Out of all the horror games I've watched people play on TH-cam, this one actually made me feel scared. It had that creepy effect, even with the typical jump scares, they made it where it was actually scary. Usually with jump scares my body would just react and jump voluntary but I move on not feeling creeped by it, this did it. Well made game.

Same here! I somehow had the mind to try some zombie survival game couple of days ago. Almost made it halfway through the first night until one of them broke down the door to the house I was holed up in. Suffice to say, I deleted the game on the spot and went back to watching Fooster instead lmao

The sound design of this game is so well done. It amps the suspense at the perfect moments and really makes you feel uneasy the whole time. Mad respect for playing this one, mate. 👍
The moment you started talking, and playing, I instantly liked ya. That is an instant sub haha. I've seen other videos of this game, and it is creepy as all hell, even just watching it. I do feel like it lost steam during those final moments though. But everything leading up to it was brilliant.

This is straight from the USSR. I lived in such a house too. Here is a very, very disturbing story, that happened to me and a friend of mine, that reminds me on that. Me and my friend, we were about 8 years old and we were heading home from school, but the bus didn't come, which was a usual thing in the USSR. So we decided to walk home, which was a long way. It was May, so it was pretty hot outside. We stoped at an old womans house and asked her if she could give us some water. She was very friendly and brought cold water. Then she asked us if we wanted to visit her, she lived alone. She then said that her attic is full of dolls, because her daughter is grown up and asked if we like to see them and play with them. My friend was all for it and I also wanted to go, but then she said, she also has Barbies up there. Well we didn't have Barbies in USSR, we only knew about them from comercials and if her daughter was an aduld, this had be old Barbies. It wasn't possible at all. I said no, but my friend wanted to go and we argued a lot. The woman told us to hurry up. I still didn't wanted to go inside her house and finally I could convince my friend to stay with me. We made it home savely. When I was 10 we moved to Germany and arround my 18th birthday I watched a crime series and there it was: this house and the old woman. I only recognised it, because of the front door. But the old lady didn't change a lot. She and her son lured children into their house. They preferred two girls of the age between 6 to 12. They then killed one of the girls and the other one had to cut the corpse in small pieces. When the work was done, they killed the other one. They ate the children. This only came out, because one girl could escape, but she sadly died as her injuries were severe. So yes this happened to me and my friend. As I have no contact to her since we were 12 or so, I really don't know if she knows about this old woman. But I have managed to save our lives. And you can look this acually up. It was near St. Petersburg. We were 8 years old in 1991. I can talk about it, because I will turn 40, I had enough time to realise that I saved our lives, thanks to my parents, who told me to be sceptical to strangers, even to an old lady.
I know this is an old comment but I totally agree! This game scared me too much when it first came out so I never watched more than like 15 min before stopping 😂 I have a theory that the gpa was a Soviet soldier and there was known cannibalism when they were forced to march in the snow and stuff like that. So I believe he got a taste for human meat and became a wendigo. Then the grandpa tried to self delete in that room when his hunger was becoming uncontrollable. But it didn't work. One of his victims, the one in the bathroom, is the one who has possessed the doll and is trying to warn you to leave. These are just my theories but I would love to hear other ppls opinions on it
I was born in a post-Soviet country in 90s and when I saw this horror I thought that there was something familiar in it, as it turned out I remembered that I was born and grew up until I was 4 years old in exactly the same apartment.... As a child, I never saw what was in the room on the left (my mother for some reason did not let me there, it was locked).
I would never play that type of game at night. I live alone in the woods. After finishing it, I would have a hard time with the quiet of my house 😆 thanks for taking us on that ride with you Fooster!

that thing at 30:55... when I played this I have NEVER felt every hair on my head stand up like that! the jump scares don't come when you expect them to and that makes this so much more terrifying

I used to get bad episodes of sleep paralysis. This captures how things can escalate from 0 to "oh FUCK" and the sheer terror that comes along with it when it happens. I've always wished tech existed that could record our dreams so we could watch them when we wake up because of the horrifying shit we would see. This is definitely a good first approximation for the type of content we would have available if that tech existed.

This one was next level. You mentioned that you were unsure how it was coming across on our end at one point but don't worry, we were right there with you lol kudos for sticking through to the end. I'd have to say this was one of the best horror games I've seen to have so much going on in such little time but also not feeling crammed with jump scares. the first maybe 5 or 10 mins felt so homey with all the little details, the way the walls are painted, zvezdochka in one of the drawers, the enamelled pots, even the doll:)
the ending seems bittersweet though. Since as we exit the front door it’s shaded by the same red hue that accompanies the “demon realm”. Wouldn’t that mean we’re just stuck there like the others and we really did get axed in the head at some point when we turned our backs?
And it alao make sense that halfway of the game. He can see all dead bodies and spirit possessing and add the others (dead) who walked right to him. Its like he is already dead too and stuck t that realm of spirits

Same here! I somehow had the mind to try some zombie survival game couple of days ago. Almost made it halfway through the first night until one of them broke down the door to the house I was holed up in. Suffice to say, I deleted the game on the spot and went back to watching Fooster instead lmao

The sound design of this game is so well done. It amps the suspense at the perfect moments and really makes you feel uneasy the whole time. Mad respect for playing this one, mate. 👍
The moment you started talking, and playing, I instantly liked ya. That is an instant sub haha. I've seen other videos of this game, and it is creepy as all hell, even just watching it. I do feel like it lost steam during those final moments though. But everything leading up to it was brilliant.
-gag- ugh! I have no idea how you even did that. I kept having to pause the video, just to calm down, because I was so freaked out. I grew up on horror games, and I enjoy games that are scary where you can fight back, and have some control over your situation. These psychological, stuck in a small space, light switching off, anxiety-inducing music games, are just too much for me. Kudos to you lol honestly😅

This is straight from the USSR. I lived in such a house too. Here is a very, very disturbing story, that happened to me and a friend of mine, that reminds me on that.
Me and my friend, we were about 8 years old and we were heading home from school, but the bus didn't come, which was a usual thing in the USSR. So we decided to walk home, which was a long way. It was May, so it was pretty hot outside. We stoped at an old womans house and asked her if she could give us some water. She was very friendly and brought cold water. Then she asked us if we wanted to visit her, she lived alone. She then said that her attic is full of dolls, because her daughter is grown up and asked if we like to see them and play with them.
My friend was all for it and I also wanted to go, but then she said, she also has Barbies up there. Well we didn't have Barbies in USSR, we only knew about them from comercials and if her daughter was an aduld, this had be old Barbies. It wasn't possible at all. I said no, but my friend wanted to go and we argued a lot. The woman told us to hurry up. I still didn't wanted to go inside her house and finally I could convince my friend to stay with me. We made it home savely.
When I was 10 we moved to Germany and arround my 18th birthday I watched a crime series and there it was: this house and the old woman. I only recognised it, because of the front door. But the old lady didn't change a lot.
She and her son lured children into their house. They preferred two girls of the age between 6 to 12. They then killed one of the girls and the other one had to cut the corpse in small pieces. When the work was done, they killed the other one. They ate the children. This only came out, because one girl could escape, but she sadly died as her injuries were severe.
So yes this happened to me and my friend. As I have no contact to her since we were 12 or so, I really don't know if she knows about this old woman. But I have managed to save our lives.
And you can look this acually up. It was near St. Petersburg. We were 8 years old in 1991. I can talk about it, because I will turn 40, I had enough time to realise that I saved our lives, thanks to my parents, who told me to be sceptical to strangers, even to an old lady.

I know this is an old comment but I totally agree! This game scared me too much when it first came out so I never watched more than like 15 min before stopping 😂 I have a theory that the gpa was a Soviet soldier and there was known cannibalism when they were forced to march in the snow and stuff like that. So I believe he got a taste for human meat and became a wendigo. Then the grandpa tried to self delete in that room when his hunger was becoming uncontrollable. But it didn't work. One of his victims, the one in the bathroom, is the one who has possessed the doll and is trying to warn you to leave. These are just my theories but I would love to hear other ppls opinions on it
I was born in a post-Soviet country in 90s and when I saw this horror I thought that there was something familiar in it, as it turned out I remembered that I was born and grew up until I was 4 years old in exactly the same apartment.... As a child, I never saw what was in the room on the left (my mother for some reason did not let me there, it was locked).

We're Romanian and "foostah" sounds like "fusta" in Romanian, which means "dress". Her mum went nuts for half an hour trying to figure out what dress she wanted to wear for school.

The thing is, you were already dead..... The reflection that you saw near the end in the mirror with the flashlight was you IRL. The reason everything is red after that is because you are now trapped
Not to mention the reflection of yourself you see earlier on in the game, also rotten. As much as fooster was glad to run out of the building, it ends in that purgatoresque emptiness and not in the normal world.
that thing at 30:55... when I played this I have NEVER felt every hair on my head stand up like that! the jump scares don't come when you expect them to and that makes this so much more terrifying

I used to get bad episodes of sleep paralysis. This captures how things can escalate from 0 to "oh FUCK" and the sheer terror that comes along with it when it happens.
I've always wished tech existed that could record our dreams so we could watch them when we wake up because of the horrifying shit we would see. This is definitely a good first approximation for the type of content we would have available if that tech existed.

This one was next level. You mentioned that you were unsure how it was coming across on our end at one point but don't worry, we were right there with you lol kudos for sticking through to the end. I'd have to say this was one of the best horror games I've seen to have so much going on in such little time but also not feeling crammed with jump scares. the first maybe 5 or 10 mins felt so homey with all the little details, the way the walls are painted, zvezdochka in one of the drawers, the enamelled pots, even the doll:)

the ending seems bittersweet though. Since as we exit the front door it’s shaded by the same red hue that accompanies the “demon realm”. Wouldn’t that mean we’re just stuck there like the others and we really did get axed in the head at some point when we turned our backs?

And it alao make sense that halfway of the game. He can see all dead bodies and spirit possessing and add the others (dead) who walked right to him. Its like he is already dead too and stuck t that realm of spirits
