Outbid everyone for HIggins, Find solid veterans to fill out the lines with the Cap Space. Draft Tet or trade back and get the TE Warren from Penn State and have a legit 1 2 punch to build with and develop. Draft another RB to develop that can pass catch. Vrabel can coach the defense up. Drake Maye is going to be deadly off the run just like Jayden has been.

Washington also got 30 new players in FA, and they were smart picks

I think Hooper is a solid TE to have with Henry. You can never have too many TE and I honestly think they should draft one too. Warren from Penn State would be a great security blanket for Maye. Free Agency for the Offensive and Defensive lines after out bidding everyone on Higgins. Use the Draft to find future Pieces around Maye. Find a young Reciever, Lineman, RB, and TE for Maye with the 4 top 100 picks they own.

I think we would most likely go 8-9 next year. Give Vrabel time to set up the culture,

    Redskins... Washington Redskins...
Anyhow, New England could be in the playoff conversation well into December but I think it'll be 2026. The Patriots could well finish over .500; but Drake Maye adjusting to a new OC and if it's Josh McDaniels he and the rest of the offense be dealing with a far more complex scheme and there will be growing pains. They'll come on late in the season- catch fire in November and finish 9-8.
If the incoming OC proves to be a good fit with Maye then they could make it in as a wildcard.

Might have two quarterbacks with Milton as well but this defense just needs to get coaching and Vrabel doesn't look like a guy you don't want to disappoint but he will get this defense going again plus he can coach that oline better but this team is just a big receiver away plus a few lil holes to plug and we'll be competitive. Effort is everything and this coach demands that

Could you imagine if the Commies came of that pick and we picked up Daniel’s. He was the most QB ready in college. Maye was not ready. And yes he is coming along. But can you imagine Daniel’s in a Patriot uniform?

Drake could Play at Ohio State or Alabama next year in 2025 and he would be on the same pace as Jayden in his Heisman season. The season after he would be on same pace as Jayden rookie season. Jayden is amazing but 2 years of age and 2 seasons of development is a big deal.

Maye will end up better. Daniels will get hurt, and the nfl will have plenty of film on him next year. Maye will have a new OC, so it won't be the same system and hopefully have a solid line and at least a few weapons.

All depends on how they draft and if they spend and make the necessary changes on Offense and Defense and with the staff. If the Krafts don’t invest heavily no but if they do yeah they could be a playoff team. Also My prediction though at kickoff is Detroit will win this game and next week and go on the win their first ever SB. 😛

  • @emanstatom

No, I think it’ll take us about two years under the reigns of Vrabel in order for us to be competitive again. We have so many holes on both sides of the ball. We have a weak WR room, weak OL, a declining safety room, no edge, and a weak CB room. Gonzo is the only CB that is reliable, sometimes Austin can be. I’d rather take the time to grow our players and slowly become competitive while the rest of the league starts to decline which they will eventually have holes to fill themselves. Because I have a feeling that the chiefs, 49ers, and eagles only have a couple of more years left in them before they have to start resigning big name players that they have in their rosters. We all know that they won’t be able to resign all of them. The jets and Aaron Rodgers, I have no idea if he is coming back but he has about another year left in him and Wilson will have to sign another contract with them. With the dolphins, I feel like tyreek hill wants out so that will make their WR room weaker when he leaves. With the Bills they’ll have to resign some notable players on their defense and offensive line. I guarantee within two years from now we will be contending again in our division. Take the time to slowly build our roster with talented players and develop them.

*The Patriots don’t have the luxury of being cheap this off-season. They’re going to have to pay extra if they want to bring in big names. Bring in some veteran tackles and Higgins along with at least 1 defensive starter. Draft Carter if he’s there or trade back and stockpile picks. Take Warren out of Penn State, grab a Tackle in the 2nd round Cam Skattebo in the 2nd round if they trade up with their 2 picks in the 3rd round.*

  • @Mark-wo9yt

Washington got lucky, they spent BIG in free agency and hit on almost all of them. That doesn't happen too often. In fact, a couple years ago NE (Belichick) did a 180 and dropped about $165M in free agent signings and most didn't much, some did nothing. When NE was at it's dominating best, Belichick never signed big-name/big-dollar free agents, he added & replaced inexpensive roll guys thru free agency and built the roster and restocked core guys via the draft.
Eventually Bill's draft luck ran out and by Brady's last 3 - 4 years in NE, Belichick was whiffing badly in the draft. Nobody noticed or cared because NE was still winning but, as soon as Brady left and the losing started people looked at the poor roster and rightly connected it with several years of draft whiffing by BB. THAT was what ultimately cost him his job - poor drafting + poor FA signings = a poor roster and a lot of Ls...

IMO, and I don’t mean to come off or sound like a “Debbie Downer” but I think a lot of what this guy said is pretty far fetched. I mean the Commanders didn’t just make the NFC Championship just randomly. I mean their rookie QB played well but the Commanders also built the team around Jayden Daniels too. Drake Maye played as best he could for the ROTY award behind Jayden, Bo Nix, Caleb Williams, etc. but the Patriots didn’t really build around him at all. The Commanders have talent and the Patriots don’t. The Commanders veteran players played well and the Patriots’s veteran players didn’t. The Commanders had an experienced coaching staff with Dan Quinn, Kliff Kingsbury, etc. and the Patriots didn’t have anyone that had done that job they were assigned to before for the most part. Lastly, the Commanders took just about full advantage of their rookie QB’s strengths and hid his weaknesses. The Patriots didn’t do that.
So I say all of that word soup of compare and contrast to explain this: to say the Patriots have this huge chance to become this surprise team, like the Commanders, it would have to take a miracle pretty much. I mean their two best players are Maye and Gonzalez and that’s literally it. Everyone else is pretty much a practice squad level player or a player that isn’t as good as they were in years past (and that level of being good still wasn’t great at all). So the Patriots shouldn’t be focused on surprising anyone and making the playoffs. They should focus on exactly figuring out how to win a game because they aren’t even close to good enough to competing in their own division, let alone anything more than that.😂

      @Mark-wo9yt 7 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

100% correct. The uninformed woke mob gives ALL the credit to Daniels - which is idiotic. Look at Washington's FA signings last off-season - they struck gold repeatedly in the FA market which is hard to do. And you are spot on again - Quinn is a highly regarded defensive HC - seems most successful HCs come from a defensive background. NE foolishly took an unqualified former LB and made him HC then couldn't find a single qualified assistant to work with their inexperienced, unqualified HC.
Vrabel IS a huge upgrade over Mayo, and since he's been around a long time w/ various organizations, he SHOULD be able to bring in some decent assistants. Yes, they have tens of millions in cap space to spend if they want, but you can't spend big in free agency for the sake of spending - they need to fit and produce, which Washington's guys did.

Iam not saying that my patriots have no chance of making the playoffs next year. One the AFC in my opinion is much tougher than the NFC so many talented quarterbacks. Next patriots would have to hit on a lot of there draft picks especially the 4 pick. Next they would have get some good free agents in here unlike last year.

So let's be clear here... Drake Maye is heads and shoulders better than Jayden Daniels. This is why Mayo's handling of our team was so tragic. DAN QUINN coached this team to the moon. Everyone there upped their game. Our guys regressed across the board. Our rookies never showed up. Maye did all he could to right the ship.
