Billet aluminum Ducati Supersport triple clamp pt3: Cutting radiuses on the rotary table

- In part 3 of making this billet triple clamp from 6061 aluminum for my Ducati 900 SuperSport project, I rough cut the shape with the bandsaw, then mill the fork tube clamps, center slots, and all the chamfers on the part. Lots of spinning on the rotary table, some really weird setups on the mill, and lots and lots of patience.

F ing amazing work.
Great work Chris!
Great Job! Thanks for sharing
Insider tip....At the end point where 2 flat surfaces come together, if you plan to use a 1/4" cutter to do the work, drill and ream an oversize hole ( .251) at that location. The cutter finds a resting place and no chatter happens. Nice job bud. Really.
Nice work :) What size is the rotary table?
6”. Fixturing was very challenging but it’s the only table I have.
@@chris-builds Cheers Chris. I'm after a rotary table for my mill and that really helps me get a feel for what I need. Of to watch episode 4 :)
@@AutoBeta2T what mill and what work do you typically do?
@@chris-builds I have a Denford Tom Senior like this one: www.model-engineer.co.uk/forums/postings.asp?th=159948 I got it then decided to move house (double garage) it's in storage at the mo while the house gets built. Hoping to have it set up in a few months. I'm just a tinkerer with bikes and the mill is a nice edition to my lathe. Maybe a set of triple clamps at some point :)
@@AutoBeta2Tah nice! I’d definitely get a bigger rotary table. They show up on eBay pretty often!
