Every dark moment in my life has a burial soundtrack attached to it.
The last completely good moment in my life had Archangel and this song riveted to it. Everytime I listen to this song, I remember January 2022 and wonder how and why I let myself go.
I saw in a tutorial video that the crackle noise in the background is actually pitched down bacon frying!

I remember one time as a teenager laying in my yard drinking a pre mixed can of vodka and coke on the hottest day of summer listening to this. It gave me one of the most euphoric feelings I've ever felt. Still get goosebumps listing to it now.
And nostalgia goes deeper the older we get. I'm almost scared of how hard these memories will hit when we're much much older.

Man should've made more pure Ambient tunes like this. In that genre alone this is defo a fave. Pure feelingz & flavour, the most powerful things in music. Like most of his usual stuff, just without drums. Haven't heard his recent tunes though, hopefully he didn't switch up his sound/style. I just want more of the same!

I'm not a South Londoner, but you are absolutely right. Used to walk those parts and the music is the perfect atmosphere for it.
back when I have to wake up very early at the morning (5.30 am) I drink my coffee, set up myself to go to the streets and face the day...
... minutes before go outside, and knowing that a long way to my work awaits me (almost 2 hours of travels between buses and trains), I start a cigarrete of Marijuana.. you know... not fully high, but pretty good.
I listen to a lot of different types of music, really, but this 2 albums of burial set me up in a mood so great to travel... kind of sad, happy, euphoric, sexy.... whatever.
I just wanted to say that while I was traveling across cities, so early at the morning, while high... damn... Is not that you can only enjoy the music while you're high, but some kinds of music are so damn good while you are high (with marijuana, in my case) that takes you and the music to a different level.
... I remember it used to felt so good... a lot of thinkings reborn in your mind...
Is kind of hard to described it, I think that only who felt similar to this can understand me.

Cont.d (I messed up my reply but can't press edit/delete on my tab lol...): *As a huge art lover (paintings/drawings) obsessed with a number of artists, plenty has amazed/fascinated me but none of what I've seen has brought a tear to my eye like plenty of deep music has. And in movies/series that have sad scenes, I've found its often the music that gives the real emotional energy while the visuals are more like pictures in a book. Without sad music, I think the majority of sad scenes would feel much less sad. Thats my take on it anyway.

Just to think. This was 2007
The ''Endorphin'' composition is one of the few that reminds me of something forgotten. I remember listening to it in the car late at night, standing on a pier with a girl. It was really good. The sea surface of the bay, with the rolling reflections on the water from the lighted car bridge. The name justifies that state of mind. But many years have passed, and things are no longer like that. And this composition takes me back there for a moment. And the ending is like coming to your senses and returning to reality.
