I'm 33 and I've always wanted to start a business but have never had enough courage to begin that process. Watching your videos and hearing what you have to say has been encouraging and eye-opening because now I realize it's not impossible, I don't have to be an expert at everything and the most important thing is surround yourself with people who are smarter than you who can fill in the gaps where you're weak. ❤ Much love from Canada
You’re not alone. I feel a piece of that is generational as well. The younger generation (born during the social media boom - early 2000s) are just more savvy and dare I say comfortable with tech and putting their face out there.
@@ebonyqueen86 I definitely agree. Just when you think you heard it all. Wow how inspiring. I want to do something bigger and love working , however I always find my self being scared of fallowing my dream.
Great story but, you skipped over an important step here. You don't just magically spend $30m on paid ads even with a great roas. It takes serious funding to float those payments. Those are the hurdles I'm curious about.
Can we be honest, please? She did not fund 30 million in sales. At 4 per lash, she would need a minimum of 8 million cash. There is no way you have just have that. She had an investor or several investors. You see people on Shark Tank looking for this kind of funding because it is one thing to invent a product but a whole other issue of purchasing for massive sales. I'm not demeaning what this lady did. It was inventive, creative, and downright amazing. However, the entire story was not told here. She does mention (briefly) a business partner. But what she did, she did not do alone and not as easy as Codie would have you believe.
It was also her ad spend. The numbers are exactly the same so that doesn’t make sense. I love her story and her amazing success but would love more clarity about the numbers. It makes you scratch your head and wonder about the rest of it. But I *want* to believe it.
Her story is real. She was able to buy at bulk which brought the cost of the lashes to less than $1. If you see her business... she sells a bundle for 1k! The numbers make sense.

60.000 a year isn't broke. Thats how she started. Codie is trying to belittle Ann McFerran from start to finish. That movie clips inserts during her personal story are dumb. Incredible is Codie saying they where kicked out from the shop. They where just asked not to film inside the business. (It looks even like intentionally prepared.) Usually if u do a recording professionally u ask for an appointment in advance. If you do a spontaneous visit and something goes wrong you don't include it in the final published footage. That's a dirty move from CS. The last straw is Codie finishing the video doing like if she is speaking to Ann but then leaves her revealing she is speaking to her audience. At the end the toast is without real connection, the pinnacle of disfunction, because of Codies annoying attitude, is reached. Codie is an advocate of big corporations wearing a lamb's dress. This is not supporting entrepreneurs, it's going against them.
You probably won’t see this com😅but can you do a video on Drycleaners why you like them or don’t like them? Love your videos!!Great content please keep it going!!
Cody, a challenge: analyze the effect of her beauty on her success. Those original ads she did could not have been as successful, nor the followers garnered if done by an ugly, uncharismatic founder. Yes, the "founder is behind the product," but what if it were an ugly person trying to do this? Your honest opinion.

if u do a recording professionally u ask for an appointment in advance.
If you do a spontaneous visit and something goes wrong you don't
include it in the final published footage. That's a dirty move from CS.
The last straw is Codie finishing the video doing like if she is speaking
to Ann but then leaves her revealing she is speaking to her audience.
At the end the toast is without real connection, the pinnacle of
disfunction, because of Codies annoying attitude, is reached.
Codie is an advocate of big corporations wearing a lamb's dress.
This is not supporting entrepreneurs, it's going against them.
her face when codie said “seal the deal”😂😂
Learned a lot❤ from ph
You probably won’t see this com😅but can you do a video on Drycleaners why you like them or don’t like them? Love your videos!!Great content please keep it going!!
do you recommend any books about “buying small businesses”
Amazing dress !
I was impressed that Ann didn't get upset or throw a fit when she was asked not to film in Sephora. Some spoilt brats would have reacted differently.
Long time value. What percentage of revenue goes to marketing and ads?
So she basically modified the k u m catchers. Yall should look into the history of make up and these lashes.
