It's truly inspiring to see people reawakening to long-lost and forgotten values. This shift is crucial if we intend to progress further😇

    ***RELATIONSHIP IS THE KEY
    1. Positive Attitude
    2. Work Ethic
    3. Compete in everything u do. Ur skill transfers to ur life!

Compete with YOURSELF, be a better version each day!
Competing with others causes for you to make comparisons all the time which will result illogical disappointments or/and beating yourself.

When taken in isolation, that may be true; however, the first core value he talks about is building relationships, and the second is attitude. When taken as a whole, which is how they should be taken, competing under such team conditions will lead to growth.

Actually I prefer to not be in competition with anyone and yet still cultivate my own growth. I am not my own enemy, I don’t need to compete with me.

James Franklin later went on to become B1G Ten Coach Of The Year after last year's signature win over no. 2 Ohio State and beating no. 6 Wisconsin in the B1G Ten Championship Game. Nobody thought that he would be able to do anything, but he turned Penn State's season around last year and got them into the Rose Bowl, which they lost to no. 9 USC. He'll be head coach at Penn State for a very long time.

This guy is very self absorbed. He only talked about himself for over the first quarter of the video. Nice that he got to bounce around for all those years but most of us had to get a job to support ourselves instead, which BTW is also a real good way to learn core values.

Looking at these comments but you also have to understand if JF practices what he preaches (he does) the choices he made this time last year to remove an OC and replace coaches must have been tough. But they were very necessary to get PSU to where it is now.

As a Football coach myself. When a Fan throws criticism at you from a stadium seat following a heart breaking loss. Blames you instead of the OG missed his block. You become a little heated. IDC who you are. That fan should of never called him out like that. HC takes so much BS and negitve criticism it's very stressful. Let me ask you personally. How many football games you won as a Head Football Coach???

Man, this is a bad video, according to TED standards.
    The title is wrong!
He's just listing THEIR core values.
It should be named "Core values of ... , who are really successful at what they do" Or something like that.
Anyway, glad I skipped the first bit, and later more.
I came here because I liked the title. Apparently that doesn't get answered.

When I hear about nourishing healthy relationships, I wanna puke my guts out.
One more thing, the man thinks it makes him exceptional that he spent that much time studying people, studying people, and one more time, studying people. Don't want to disappoint him, but we all study people all the time, that's what we have to do in order to survive.

    •  9 ปีที่แล้ว

+poohoff He already threw one of his coaches under the bus. The one he fired was a very good choice as a start. He's a good judge of people who suck at their jobs. But as far as studying his players and figgering out what needs to be done to help them improve...well, he's totally lost about that aspect of "people study" as it applies to winning football games.
