    As a Filipino, I was very disgusted with the uploader of this video on Facebook. Lea Salonga was so courteous and professional in handling this unfortunate incident. These rude people crossed the line in terms of invading the privacy of Lea. While Lea escorted them outside, the rude guy just kept complimenting Lea while Lea was already irritated. At the end of the video, Lea still had a photo op with these rude Filipinos. After that, the ungrateful guy uploaded the video on Facebook to gain attention and put Lea on a bad light. He is a clout chaser, an entitled m*r*n and he acts as if he was the victim. What a shame! He is a disgrace to the Filipino people. On the other side of the spectrum, our admiration for Lea just got stronger. Lea is a world class act and we love her for that.

    I can’t imagine how unsettling it would be for strangers to just show up in restricted areas of your workspace, it’s like if a customer just marched into the break room at a store. Nothing bad happened this time who’s to the next person won’t be a stalker or a shooter. I wouldn’t feel safe if I was working in that theatre.

    It's not Spanish, it's Tagalog. ☺ She's literally being kind about it honestly, most especially even accommodating them INSIDE the stage door. The person who posted this video recently had an interview in a news outlet here in the Philippines, he said he won't apologize for what he did and even acted as if he's the victim in the situation.

    If I were Lea, I would have had security kick them out of the property period. What they did was very invasive, not to mention trespassing which is an offense! This is her DRESSING ROOM for god's sakes. These people are lucky cause she still agreed to give them what they wanted even though they have already violated her personal space. Also.. These jackasses even got special treatment from her. She told them to wait inside the door rather than outside, which means they don't have to wait in line for a pic like other fans did. Such entitled mofos they are omg!

    That's the typical Lea all Filipinos know. She's that person who doesn't take bs and expects people to have at least a common sense. I've been a fan of many celebrities but I'm well aware of my boundaries. She actually handled it pretty well, and that made me like her more as a fan.

    Agreed, talent shouldn’t have to be dealing with this…where’s security? I get that maybe the fans were just told to go directly to see Lea, so maybe not the fans’ fault either, but security could’ve helped a lot in this scenario. Note: They’re speaking Tagalog (Filipino).

    Dear Sir Kevin, This guy, Christopher Carpilla, in an interview, uploaded the video out of spite because his group felt humiliated when Ms. Lea didn't allow them to take pictures in her dressing room. He lamented that "they were like cockroaches that were stepped upon". He denied they sneaked in through the backstage but were, surprisingly, even escorted by theatre personnel, which I find hard to believe because the protocol is no fans are allowed to go backstage. He even said that there were fans outside the dressing room lined up waiting for their turn to take pictures. This guy's story is full of holes. Also, those two people who were just leaving at the start of the video are not fans...they were close friends of Ms. Lea and were on the guest list.

    • @whirlpool2araw73
      @whirlpool2araw73 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Before the incident in the dressing room, the group of Cristopher Carpila already mobbed Miss Lea right after the show and they were escorted out by the security persons. It's unbelievable that they were allowed to go to Miss Lea's dressing room (Mr. Carpila's claim) when they were already kicked out of the building.

  • @secretloyalty
    @secretloyalty ปีที่แล้ว +8

    She was actually very tolerant. She even ushered them where they're suppose to take photos and she took photo with them. Then the guy here uploaded this video captioning it that lea threw them out like trash. Made them feel like garbage. Imagine that. Where in the vid did that happen??? Nowhere!! Worst is the guy is standing by what he said. He insists, he and his friends did nothing wrong, did not cross any boundaries. That they were mistreated.

Shame on them. Lea, however, handled this beautifully. I love that she is assertive yet still kind. She’s a class act. Her employers need to do a better job protecting her.

  • @ReeLuvsWicked
    @ReeLuvsWicked ปีที่แล้ว +4

    She handled that situation with such grace, but she shouldnt have to do that! Of course the fans should have known better, but more importantly this shouldn't have been possible for it to happen in the first place. This could have ended terribly for lea, but what if theyre wandering around backstage unsupervised and they got hurt (on set peices etc - guarantee they would sue) or caused damage.

  • @labellavita12
    @labellavita12 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    They were rude since the beginning, 1st the one responsible for the video was shouting Lea's name a couple of times while the show is ongoing. 2nd, he did an fb live of the show and uploaded Lea's part on facebook. 3rd Lea tweeted that those were the same people who rushed her on the dance floor after the show and security got scared and had to surround her. 4th They name dropped a co producer's name saying she is friends with her which later Lea revealed that none from the Lead producers, stage management, the mentioned co-producer, down to the security knew them. 5th Lea was so nice to them and praising her while walking and uploaded this to get sympathy, making people think that Lea is rude to them. 6th what the heck, they got a photo with her, Lea still allow them with a photo and lastly He was interviewed because it went viral and said that there's nothing he needs to say sorry for even though Lea already expressed her feelings about it. Entitled fans! and yes that's Filipino not Spanish. Lea is Filipino, born and raised in the Philippines.

    The fans were dressed up and it looks like they really planned to take a picture with Lea but they weren't aware of the protocol. But I guess, it's can also be a question whether you want to be right or would you rather be kind. Lea chose to be right. But anyway' it's the security or the production staff who failed to do their job. And they are the ones who are more familiar with the protocol.

    • @labellavita12
      @labellavita12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      She was right at the same time kind. Didn't you hear her saying sorry a couple of times because she can't have them in the dressing room? also yes the security failed her but shouldn't we take it upon ourselves to at least have some manners and etiquette no matter how excited of a fan we are. They lied knowing a co-producer, that alone says something about them, that they are willing to drop names or broke in just to get what they want.

    • @venusdemilo1627
      @venusdemilo1627 ปีที่แล้ว

      When Lea told the fans that there's a spot and she pointed to the outside direction, they complied and started walking in that direction while Lea was still inside her dressing room. They were not crazy or ill-mannered fans. It was just a misunderstanding and an innocent mistake. I'm not quite convinced that these fans mobbed Lea after the curtain call and security has to stop them because they were scared for Lea. I can see on the video that they were not unruly even without the presence of security.

    • @venusdemilo1627
      @venusdemilo1627 ปีที่แล้ว

      And when Lea and the fans reached that spot where they were going to take pictures, there was a crowd lingering there and Lea instructed them to go to the gray door which says EXIT on the sign. Why did Lea have to do that? Was there no staff assigned to guide the crowd towards the exit? It looks like there's not enough staff or the staff lacked training.

    • @labellavita12
      @labellavita12 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@venusdemilo1627 Let me quote Lea on this "They were escorted out of the building (another of our producers made sure) but came back. • @labellavita12
      @labellavita12 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@venusdemilo1627 I think some of the fans who were there were on the guest list. Same thing with those two people going out of her room. Outside the stage door, there were securities and a lot of audience wrangler but what he said in this video was during this time, everybody would be busy going out. maybe the security thought that whoever that were inside were allowed but sadly they snuck in and folded along with Lea's guests as she said that she has so many guest at that day. Stop making an excuse for a bad behavior. They were disrespectful, period.

There are roaches in the Philippines. Growing up in the Philippines, we make fun of how scared we are of roaches. So why punish CD in telling the truth. Alec Baldwin was boycotted because he said some Filipinas are mail-order-bride (MOB). Was he lying? No. I have Filipina friends who are MOB. And now they are turning the tables on Lea that she wasn't accommodating. It is sad to see that fellow Filipino can't own up flaws. You probably learned on how many times people corrected you with Tagalog. I am with you and Lea on this. What I love about your clip is the "Lea has to speak in Tagalog coz the English instruction flies over the head" observation. All I can I say is it depends upon the artist, coz I have same encounter as a fan I don't want to mention name coz he is very famous actor in the Phil's. We saw the actor
    together with the bodyguard,
    we ask for photo and he quickly oblige and didn't say anything, he is generous.
    Depende sa artista, kapwa
    Filipino mo naman.

      What else do you want? Lea was so nice to them and they also had pictures with her. By the way you mentioned about that actor. Did it happen in a dressing room in Broadway or in the Phils? Come on not just because they are Filipinos and Lea is a Filipino they can do whatever they want. As Lea said she has boundaries, same with..... you I guess. I'm sure you also have boundaries. Also you said that actor didn't say anything? Please don't compare that situation with Lea's. Even if your not Lea's fan, you should not tolerate what they did.

    • @labellavita12
      @labellavita12 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This is a dressing room and not just somewhere else. Theater performers were very disciplined and that's broadway. I myself know a big star, maybe bigger than who you know and we met and had a lot of encounters, even attended their family parties but still I have to be on the guest list, Why? because that's proper thing to do and respectful. That is their personal space and you don't want to just barge in. If outside then you can very well do that but this isn't the case here. Next not because you are both Filipino doesn't give you a pass to act entitled. Just follow the protocol, why is it hard for people to just act properly and follow the rules?
