I raced a 883 a few years ago when I had my cbr1krr I was cruising next to him in second in a wheelie when he hit his top speed (95mph), I simply shifted third brought the front end down and bit and took off lol. Still one of my favorite moments on bike
Actually there slick there are multiple instances where a Harley is faster than a gsxr shit my dad's Harley pushed 220 hp and would snack on many sport bikes off the line 60 ft hard as hell

I had a 883 for a while, but too uncomfortable on the freeway. Other than that I really liked it. Perfect bike for what it's best at. 4 cylinder Kawasaki now, but sometimes wish I was on the Sportster.

It made me long for the days before the high-speed roads that now cover the USA. I sold that bike because it had become rusty and corroded on account of Florida salt spray. I do miss that 883, and perhaps will own a shiny one some day. I respect the HD brand, and felt it wrong to ride a HD that no longer looked proper. I now mostly ride a 2023 Kawasaki Z900 SE, which is a fantastic machine, but I do miss the satisfying sound and feel of that old 883. No one motorcycle does it all.

I’ve never owned a inline 4 sport bike, but I had a sv650s and then got a Harley, it’s something about them v-twins and the torque they have that just makes them so damn fun. I love the Harley much more though, you can really get on it and not be doing “going to jail” speeds on it!
That is why I love riding my Harley, I have a GSXS 750 for road as well. You can ride the Harley flat out and your not going that fast so if you see police it's not really a problem. If I ride my other bike flat out on the road it's very easy to loose your license 👍
